turq a bag very similar to the one bag you pinned on MNV is on sale on Shopbop. The leather is slightly different but it's 30% off so maybe worth it.

Sorry, not had time for a catch-up as the last few days have been hectic because poor DD has croup. We nearly went to A&E on Sunday evening because she had difficulty breathing but it got better eventually so we just went to the dr on Monday morning.

She still coughs a lot and is very clingy but I think she is on the mend.

shopafrolic · 29/10/2013 19:58

Poor DD Linus sending get well thoughts
Marsha catching up on MiC - best line so far "I don't ride anything that shits at the same time"

I found a pic of it! it's this

Way cheaper in our outlet though, I'm guessing it has some minute fault like the DKNY dress I bought in there for £10 Grin nothing that either me or my MIL can't fix though

MarshaBrady · 29/10/2013 20:29

Shop it's a good un Grin

One that is very nice. Hope you have it soon!

Drywhiteplease · 29/10/2013 20:30

OneLittleLady · 29/10/2013 20:30

Hope DD is feeling better soon linus

MarshaBrady · 29/10/2013 20:31

Turq was that me? What's Damsel in Dior!? Am I losing my marbles.

So sorry to hear about your hair cut. I loathe it when it's not right, puts me in a bad mood. I hope you feel better in a week or so.

MarshaBrady · 29/10/2013 20:32

Linus your poor dd, hope she is better soon.

Justa a couple of days left!

MarshaBrady · 29/10/2013 20:33

Dh is out with clients. Dc in bed, bliss. I'm going to see if there's a good movie on.

libertychick · 29/10/2013 20:34

Fantastic dress one - perfect for you. Hope you get it now.

Grumpy I really like that CdC jacket and skirt - are you quite petite? I have seen the skirt and it's vv short!

justasecond · 29/10/2013 20:57

Envy Marsha my 3 are still up, have had a hard day with them today. Was just about to get them in bed when DH got home unexpectedly, he was supposed to stay over tonight. They are all excited again now.

MarshaBrady · 29/10/2013 21:00

Oh no, hope they're asleep soon. If I know dh is out it's easier. If plans change either way it can scupper it.

Annianni · 29/10/2013 21:44

Hope your dd is ok Linus.

Just watched MiC Shock
Next week's looks good.
I can't stand Phoebe!!!

Lovely dress One.

mignonnette · 30/10/2013 09:12

The Anna Wintour is hilarious Shop. I actually think she would laugh at that.

One GET THAT DRESS!

shopafrolic · 30/10/2013 09:19

ILs arriving after lunch - wish me luck folks
Today I am wearing - chinos rolled up with a black vest top under a petrol A&W mohair crew neck sweater. Slippers ATM but will put on these when I head out. Not very inspiring but warm. I wore this sweater non stop last AW but am a little out of love with it now…….

Drywhiteplease · 30/10/2013 09:20

That's funny Shop love Karl L....brilliant!Grin

I'm home. Bloody hell, 4 days without a full length mirror I looked a bloody fashion disaster when I got back. Straight cut jeans stretched to wide legged proportions tucked into brown boots.....I looked like a Cossack gone wrong. Trying to get fashion mojo back today but it's a bit nippy may have to get my Uniqlo hi tech on. Smile

Linus my dd used to get terrible croup....it's v distressing. Have you got an inhaler? Hope she's getting better....I really know how you feel.

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2013 09:31

Morning, another cracking day. Lovely.

That is very cute Shop.

Glad you survived in one piece Dry.

Drywhiteplease · 30/10/2013 10:17

Hands over the baton to Shop , hopes Santa is surviving.

Here's how crap a shopper I am;

Wanted these boots lost them in sale
Bought these as make do, didn't like. Intended to return, but
exchanged for these which are lovely but not black bikers
I have now found originals in a size 40 (I'm a 39) and have ordered just in case they fit (free delivery)

This is my problem. I am v impulsive. Trying to learn from you lot. I'm rubbish at waiting . If I waited I could save and buy something more expensive /nicer. I guess the up side is I could have 2 pairs of boots.

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2013 10:42

I'm not great at waiting either Dry! I tend to splurge and then have to wait again til I can shop. I should eek it out a bit more over time.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 30/10/2013 10:49

You won't learn much from me Dry. I wish I could be more restrained sometimes too.

Gearing myself up to receive that baton on Saturday - MIL is arriving and her DH (less said the better) arrives on Tues, which also happens to be DD2's birthday and the day we have horses going to the sales and the day we have a shitload of runners. If he thinks I'm going to be waiting on him, he can think on. MIL is lovely, but her choice of partners is far removed from anything I would look for in a man.

In other news - CdC skirt & jacket has just been delivered to my office and looks lovely. Will try on later, but relieved skirt doesn't look too short (mind you, I am pretty short myself - only a belt would look short on me)

Drywhiteplease · 30/10/2013 13:27

Good luck Grumpy
Have two lots of visitors back to back over next few days. Lots of cooking planned (lamb tagine slow coking, smells lovely)... My little sis with my 2yr old nephew, can't wait. We've got all the old Thomas the tank toys out, like old days, felt quite emotional when I was reunited with Percy and Gordon! Grin

santamarianovella · 30/10/2013 13:49

linus how is your dd? hope she is better today, croup can be very scary.

one that is a gorgeous dress! buy it.

dry day1 here,we arrived last night, and up to now things are ok,i think mil is giving me some time to rest before firing away, bless her.

grumpy so nice to hear from you again.lovely purchases as usual.

we are going on a ghost tour tomorrow, yikes! and a firework parade on friday ,dss is super excited! a lot of scary stories have been told today mostly made up by dh and fil, that, and the fact that my ils house is very old and its in the middle of nowhere is really beginning to creep me out!

MarshaBrady · 30/10/2013 14:50

Santa have a good time! Let us know what it's like.

Took ds1 into town and did the river boat thing he loved it, it was really good but oh so busy on the south bank. Had that phew great to be home thing.

foxysocks · 30/10/2013 15:24

hello. thanks for asking after me marsha. am a woman on the edge.

thought we'd have a few days away but made mistake of going to see my parents. ohhheemmmgeee they drive me demented. and my mum has decided her and my sister are coming tomorrow overnight to see the children, argh

building still seems to be taking forever. bifolds in now, and floor almost all done. DH will be totally out of action all weekend staining and sealing the floorboards and painting last coats on the walls. still hoping fitters may be able to start monday but it's not guaranteed.

i honestly don't know if i would have started this project had I known in advance how freaking stressful and difficult it would be. the builders are lovely and polite, and the quality of their work is excellent, but the project management has been lacking (DH likely to make formal complaint at the end of the project i think). tbh i just want my house back
