Ooh you naughty things re afternoon naps - DS1 was such a pain to get to nap, think walking for ages and he would wake up as soon as you stopped, that DH and I never got into that habit

QueenCadbury · 27/10/2013 06:22

Morning. Anyone else's dc not get the message about an extra hours sleep?

I'm laughing at all the sex talk. You should start a thread asking how many people have afternoon trysts Grin.

Did I tell you I'm off to eurodisney today Smile

RubyLovesShopping · 27/10/2013 06:24

Mine! Not impressed. Have a good time QueenC.

Turquoiseblue · 27/10/2013 07:48

My kids didn't get the time change memo either - strong coffee brewing here. On the other hand dd was v cute and snuggly. DS is traumatised with my new haircut - he doesn't like it and keeps swiping my new fringe away from my face.
Here s hoping for a daytime nap Wink

Turquoiseblue · 27/10/2013 07:48

Had fun at eurodisney QC

Drywhiteplease · 27/10/2013 08:07

Have a brilliant time QueenC

foxysocks · 27/10/2013 08:07

I kept mine up later to watch the dancing, so they woke at 7am new time. not bad!

have fun queenc, let's get a wine date in once you are back Grin

shopafrolic · 27/10/2013 08:17

Have a fab time QueenC - you rock those ears!

For Anni - if you are still looking for a fur snood, some nice things on this site - saw it on the frugality

MrsRadicchio · 27/10/2013 08:34

Have fun Queen - love your mnv look!

foxysocks · 27/10/2013 10:04

i WEPT at the end of 'me before you'. hope you are ok dry!

TWC poncho is GORGEOUS and so versatile. am so pleased with it!

about to try a yoga practice whilst DH paints the ceiling in the new kitchen and children catch up on dancing from last night, have taken no painkillers since weds. will go easy though, obv.

might wear poncho today over l/s white tee and with blue jeans. what's everyone else wearing? now I am into boyfriends the thought of skinnies is so off-putting, esp as have developed a round stomach after three weeks modified yoga practice.

we need to pop out to buy a new futon cover, ours is completely wrecked. why did we think cream was a good idea?! oh yes, that would be because we had no kids at the time.

what colours do you guys like out of these?

for context - our other sofa is choc brown leather. everything else is changing/changeable. it's a high ceilings, corniced, big bay window type room in vict terrace. tempted by the dark brown so both sofas are similar colours, then we can sort the rest at a later date once bank account has recovered

Drywhiteplease · 27/10/2013 10:51

Foxy just about recovered, thanks....starting "as a casual vacancy " now, anyone read it?any good?

I would go for the field mouse horizontal or plain.....because it's v difficult matching colours exactly and I think tonal is easier.

found Branston in fridge S by date 2008, and paraffin in an old fruit juice bottle NEXT to the apple juice in the KITCHEN Shock I'm in a death trap

Wearing khaki skinnies, new brown boots, stone White Co swing jumper over white t, The famous Primark necklace

libertychick · 27/10/2013 13:18

I am very tempted by the poncho Foxy just think it's a bit mad when I only bought a black one a week or two ago! Today I am wearing Goldsign envy, Gap white vest, fine knit dark blue Gap merino jumper with drop sleeves and grey leather converse. Black Uniglo down gilet layered over for popping out and my white and pale blue flower statement necklace that I wore to the July MU.

I dread to think what could happen to a thread about afternoon trysts! I'll just continue to hide in here and keep a low MN profile!

MarshaBrady · 27/10/2013 13:27

QueenC have a wonderful time!

Foxy is it possible to see the colours? A neutral sounds good, if not.

I was good last night, one glass of champagne. Although it was very nice champagne! But didn't want to stay out too late. Host looked great as Uma Thurman. I didn't dress up Grin

mignonnette · 27/10/2013 13:52

Foxy

What a shame about Cocosa. I have bought Mimi Holiday lingerie from them and was very pleased with it.

Novice I too am not that fussed about buying much this season as so much of it is replicated in my existing wardrobe. Next season is a bit meh too as far as I can see. More pastels....

Queen Have a wonderful time. I love The Tower of Terror, Rock nRolln Rollercoaster and the Haunted Mansion. Went to EuroDisney the Summer i opened and Fla several years ago. Such fun.

Spent the morning removing everything that could be blown over in the garden as the wind is getting up here. A little bit nervous after the devastation here from the 87 storm. Removed some hoardings that were hanging off a nearby builiding site as is overlooking my car parking space!

Hopefully none of us will be too affected by it. Now off for a Sunday afternoon walk at a nearby Nature reserve. Had a Chinese at my daughters house last night and watched The Shining (again). Drove there in my new navy blue Bodas PJ bottoms and my leopard print fleece dressing gown from Matalan - such a slattern but so nice to snuggle under woollen blankets with her and DH in our night clothes. Anyway Bodas are luxe enough to be seen from car to front door!

here is my lovely chenille cheapie dressing gown. And these are the Bodas bottoms in the white. Mine are navy and I wore them with a cream Damart T shirt.

foxysocks · 27/10/2013 14:39

cocosa have redeemed themselves mig - agreed to full refund of all charges inc my return postage.

I am VERY nervous about the storm, esp as we still only have boards instead of doors / windows at the back. I don't really remember the 87 one but DH does, they lost the roof of his school Shock

liberty it's free returns to store if you don't decide to keep. did you get a voucher? I don't think it's mad, it's a totally different colour and I am extremely close to ordering that other black one I found too

foxysocks · 27/10/2013 14:46

marsha we just popped down to the local store and got the dark chocolate brown cover. it's lovely and was on sale. new sofa for £70, result Grin. I got some fab navy and hot pink cushions - in the B&Q clearance, of all places, I got three oversized cushions and a stone cable knit throw for £15 total Shock - which will brighten it up for now until we have more time, headspace and money to throw at it.

am sooooooooo OVER house renovations. as DH is now doing all our decorating, wood prep etc he has been working every evening and most of the weekend to move stuff along more quickly. it now looks like builders may be done by friday, then DH will stain/varnish floor on Friday night, so it hardens over the weekend and fitters come in following monday. the end is FINALLY in sight. how people do this all the time I have no idea. they must be less sensitive over the invasion of their homes than I am. between this and the trapped nerve/pain my stress levels have been through the roof thank god for diazepam and wine

OneLittleLady · 27/10/2013 15:01

I'm going to apologise in advance for next week. I will be doing detox prep so no caffeine for me which may make me very grumpy. All for the best though, all for the best

Annianni · 27/10/2013 15:36

Argh!!!!!!!

Fil coming for tea, and to look at the house (not been for ages)

Is it too early for vodka?

foxysocks · 27/10/2013 15:53

no anni it's sunday. drinking always starts earlier on a sunday, it's a well known fact.

(btw i would never drink wine having taken diazepam. feel the need to clarify lol)

Annianni · 27/10/2013 16:04

Fuck!

He's here... I'm hiding upstairs...

Will go and hide in the kitchen, preparing stuff so he can't look at my boobs

If I put vodka in with cranberry, I think I'll get away with it
