Evening!

I've had such a lovely day. Today DD celebrated her first birthday and I can't believe my little girl is already one year old.

We had cake for breakfast as DH had to catch a flight to London and when we sang Happy Birthday DS started to cry. Hmm

I think he wanted some present too...Wink

DH picked up my Jalouses in HoF (yay!) and then went to Selfridges to look for a present for me, but had to leave as there were too many people he couldn't stand it (he hates shopping malls and crowded department stores ) Sad

So I'm having a look at the shops in terminal 5 to see if he can pick up something there. Wink

Did anyone buy any of the Anya Hindmarch clutches. I am sitting on my hands as I don't really need a clutch and I lost my heart to a red glitter Valorie

shop those jeans are definitely for the long of leg.

dry those bikers look fine but I agree, it all depends on how you style it.

turq I hope your DD feels better soon.

My bedding at the moment is a (very masculin looking) Lexington duvet cover. I really like that brand as it has a New England/preppy vibe going on but I only buy it in the sales as it is £££

I have some lovely plaid flannel bedding I can't wait to put on the bed but it isn't quite cold enough.

RubyLovesShopping · 24/10/2013 19:32

Linus I have just been reading through today's links and do love the Valorie in navy. I am rather partial to navy you all may have noticed. Have a wedding next month and am trying to use that to justify ordering. But have new coat and may soon have new boots so was planning on high st for a clutch- needs to be navy, gold or pewter, that's next weeks shopping project.

mignonnette · 24/10/2013 19:32

I used to love the cotton jersey bedding and both children had it as children along with JC Penney padded striped comforters.

I like the sound of the linen duvet cover. I have a linen sheet and pillowcase set and Frette OMG- gorgeous.

I also love Yves Delorme and Designers Guild when the latter is not too colourful. I like a more sombre bedroom w/ the odd splash of colour.

I ordered the Helmut skirt just to try and am still pondering the Carven weird one. Ponder ponder.

RubyLovesShopping · 24/10/2013 19:37

Decameron-nice jeans.

MarshaBrady · 24/10/2013 19:37

Oh did you Mig I meant to say that was my favourite! How exciting.

Thanks so much re mag, yes that's it. I ordered from here. Admittedly it could have been cheaper on eBay. Whoops!

Linus I feel the same as your dh and can't stay in Selfridges for very long. I can handle Liberty. I think it has fewer people and is calmer, might be the lighting and the wood.

RubyLovesShopping · 24/10/2013 19:38

Mentally going through wardrobe now to see what I could eBay to buy the Valorie!

mignonnette · 24/10/2013 19:50

The price might go up on Ebay as there's 23 hrs to go on that auction so might not be as cheap as it looks at the moment. I spend a ridiculous amount on old US Vogues pre 2003 ish to stop the gaps in my collection. The P+P is dreadful.

Will photograph the skirt if it looks okay.

I prefer Liberty although Selfridges Food dept is luscious. I have learned when to go at quieter times. After work is madness- hordes of people buying in desperation and in the run up to Christmas i stay out of department stores entirely.

LinusDKD · 24/10/2013 20:03

Go for it ruby!

Poor DH went to Selfridges out of his own accord so when he told me I asked him to pick something up for me in the beauty hall. He didn't get it as it was just too crowded.

I like the atmosphere of Liberty but don't mind Selfridges.

What I do hate is shopping at Christmas so I have been buying presents online and in the shops for the last few weeks.

SortingMeOut · 24/10/2013 21:03

hello, and thanks for the nice welcome. All this talk of bedding is making me crave my bed. Sadly with two teenies, I don't get to spend much time in it. White Company, plain white/v simple design for me please plus a toddler, a mr tumble and god knows what else

ruby I love the valorie. Go for it... such pretty sparkles.
Sorry I can't keep up w the personals yet. Head frazzled - a week alone with the DC will do that...

yes decam, my old nn was Italianish. And queen, I'm a summer - I'd get the DVF in navy as sadly the bright blue one would make me green around the gills. As for style, I'm a romantic classic - I expected to be a 100% natural, so am still in shock Grin. Just bought this coat - need to double check colour irl, but style is perfect.

shopafrolic · 24/10/2013 21:12

Linus glad you got your Jalouses how exciting! Am watching part 2 of the Tunnel. Really v good. Clemence is v sexy in a weird geeky way.
