Oh Shop, night out ooop north? We could party in the shed!
Novice for that price they need to be perfect.... However pjs don't always do shoes justice I find, esp Valentino!

OneLittleLady · 22/10/2013 22:08

yeah, come up north shop you can see the orange girls in their natural habitat Wink

Drywhiteplease · 22/10/2013 22:32

Not where I live One! Real tans here;)

libertychick · 22/10/2013 22:33

Hello all, great DR shopping Shop. I love the scarf you got your friend and the bangle - Paige jeans look really good.
Marsha how disappointing that you didn't have instant love with the peacoat - I agree Shop set the bar high with how good she looked in hers!
Mig I really like the layered necklace look - keep meaning to try it. Congrats on your tax rebate. Yes, I was hat girl at the MU! Love hats - keeping an eye out for more.
MrsR I'd love to see a pic of your lace shirt and breton outfit - I have a Phase 8 lace dress which has a really swishy skirt and I have been thinking about bringing it to a dressmaker to chop off the top bit and make it a skirt but not sure how to style it.
Sleep my food diary keeping has been a bit arbitrary but will get it done.
One great that you are feeling so good.

Today I was very brave (for me) and wore the Me&Em ruched skirt with the Whistles Lena jacket - a combination suggested by Decam a while ago. I have up to now worn the skirt with a bum covering cardi so venturing out with the curve of my ample ass on show is a big move for me. Thankfully no one pointed and laughed so will chalk that up as a success for now!

OneLittleLady · 22/10/2013 22:45

Dry it's ALL fake tans here. I once, no kidding, saw a girl in a skin tight white dress walking through the town centre when it was raining. It was raining so heavily that her very obvious fake tan was running down her legs and leaving orange marks on the pavement and orange streaks down her matching white shoes. Even the underarms of her dress were stained with dripping fake tan

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2013 22:48

Liberty that is a lovely combination. I'm sure you looked fabulous.

Can I add a film nomination to book club. A French film Leaving with Kristen Scott Thomas. Stunning film. Pared back simplicity, but so strong. Really got to me. It's on bbc iplayer atm.

MarshaBrady · 22/10/2013 22:50

Shop wish you were closer, well everyone was, we could do a MNV knees up for you!

Novice yes if they don't pass the Atwood test send them back. Try one more time.

libertychick · 22/10/2013 22:52

QueenC I wear lots of cheap and cheerful bling - I like the BR bracelet and think it would work with your dress. Have you had a look at Heavenly necklaces which one of the worn out ladies blogged about? She had a replica raindance ring and it looked great.

Or something from swarovski like this bracelet or a statement ring in your best colours

Or you could go off piste with a Marc Jacobs rubber cuff ????

Linus I really like your DKNY dresses - great colour.

libertychick · 22/10/2013 22:54

Thanks Marsha!
Novice I was going to say exactly what Marsha has just said! The reality is if they don't meet the Atwwod standard you just won't wear them Smile.

libertychick · 22/10/2013 22:58

My contribution to the bookclub - I have just started 'The Testament of Mary' by Colm Toibin - only on page 22 but already captivated - trying to force myself to read slowly and appreciate it - I have a tendency to gallop through books and not really take them in.

LinusDKD · 23/10/2013 07:30

Morning!

novice try on the shoes with one of your lovely dresses. But I agree, if you don't love them even then, back they go.

one your outfit sounds lovely and you can tell from your posts that you are in a good place.

liberty I love that blue cuff!

shop my birthday is in two weeks as well, maybe even the same day as you?!

DH is taking me for dinner so maybe the Loubs will get another outing.

Today I am wearing Esprit forrest green skinny cords, Esprit cobalt sweater, MbMJ polka dot scarf and my bikers.

Maybe it's the change of seasons but I feel a bit stuck in my choice of clothes/looks. I hope that the dresses I've ordered will change that.

foxysocks · 23/10/2013 07:48

V quickly there is a huge cocosa clearance on. I just got a pair of white goldsigns for £21! And a velvet (brand not material, rotfl) Breton for £13.

School run, back later xxx

Drywhiteplease · 23/10/2013 08:00

Marsha K Scott Thomas is another classy style crush...chic lady. Will download the film.
Today I'm wearing (very)red hobbs skirt, grey wooly tights , grey and white Breton, black riding boots (Queenc) because it's pouring, black fitted cardi....feeling a bit ooooo la la!

MrsRadicchio · 23/10/2013 08:36

Thanks for the outfit compliments. I actually ended up wearing jeans and a black top (!) but I think I will try to do the lace skirt outfit for the pub. Not sure if the breton works with it (if only it was velvet Wink ) but I will put some pics on pin...please be gentle!! I have also tried it with a grey sweatshirt which I think might work better.

Will have a look at cocosa, thanks for the heads up Foxy

Nice outfit Dry I really like riding boots, think they are a classic.

Love that MJ cuff Liberty

MrsRadicchio · 23/10/2013 08:50

Oh meant to add - Jerome Dreyfuss (the bag Linus suggested for Mig ) is isabel marant's boyfriend!!

here

shopafrolic · 23/10/2013 09:39

Morning all - too much going on - head might explode I fear.

The contents of our spare room is all over the house, decorator arrives at 11am to start work - he is the slowest decorator in the world, but fab. Not sure what to do about viewings - will people see past boxes in hallways?
IL family stuff is a mess. Complicated situation and might out myself but MIL v upset with BIL and his girlfriend and confiding in me - puts me in a position I don't want to be in.
Lots of little niggling jobs to do, list as long as my arm - aaarrrrggghhhh
It is so unlike me not to have plans for my birthday - I usually have about two weeks of celebrations. Dry running away ooop north sounds v tempting!
Linus waves to fellow Scorpio - I'm the 4th.....
Sleep thanks so much for the tips on my food diary and for being so kind! Am off to Sainsbury's this morning armed with lots of ideas. My only other question is how much water should I be drinking a day? Seeing as currently it's about 1 glass Blush
Liberty outfit sounds lovely. I bet you looked fab. I love a good hat too. This year my only purchase will probably be a cashmere beanie of some description. I already have 2 flat caps, my Purdey tweed hat, a stetson (from Ibiza years), a trilby and my Panama......oh and wedding hats too...... Storage is becoming a problem!
Marsha will add that to my LoveFilm list. I bet you look fab in the coat - are you still considering or is it going back?

Me too shop!!! How funny is that!

shopafrolic · 23/10/2013 09:49

Woop - MNV birthday!

OP posts:
RubyLovesShopping · 23/10/2013 09:49

Shop- water 2-3 litres a day. I try to drink 2 and on days I run add an extra litre. Don't really enjoy it but am sure it helps my skin etc

LinusDKD · 23/10/2013 10:08

Just called the Ash concession at HoF (the Ash shop on Marylbone High Street didn't answer the phone) and they couldn't have been more helpful.

So they are going to hold two pairs for me (slight difference between the two apparently, according to the lovely salesperson) so hopefully DH can pick then up for me tomorrow. Can't wait!

MarshaBrady · 23/10/2013 10:12

Shop I'm going to send it back. Dh did agree it was rather shapeless on me. I did love it on you when I saw it and bought it because it looked so good! But it doesn't do the same thing for me.

Thanks so much for the heads up though, am glad I tried it.

Foxy have sent you a pm.

The Kristen Scott Thomas film is here if you fancy watching for free. Love her, she looks good.

shopafrolic · 23/10/2013 10:53

Oh shame Marsha sorry it didn't work for you

OP posts:
SortingMeOut · 23/10/2013 10:56

ahem, delurker here popping up. The fabulous mignonette pointed me (well, the OP, but I'm on that thread under my usual name) in this direction.

I used to lurk on the first MNV and on W&A back in the day. Since then, I've had colours and style done (with travel, a RL friend), and have reached the awkward stage of realising nothing I own is right for me. So ladies, I need to shop! Whenever I delurk, financial disaster seems to hit, but sod it, I'll enjoy the links if nothing else!
Talking of which - does anyone have this reiss coat? I have long arms, and wonder if they'll be long enough. My other item of desire is the dvf zarita dress which I am ebaying like crazy for. In denial that I spend more time at toddler groups than parties Does anyone have it? Is it amazing?
I'm on the lookout for burgundy ankle boots with a low heel, and ideally some pretty detail. An ankle version of these duo ones would be perfect.

Anyway, will have a catch up read now - enjoying a lovely morning of no work and DC at nursery :D

Sleepwhenidie · 23/10/2013 11:00

Hey Shop - I forgot to mention the water - guilty of it myself. Yep, at least 2l a day but this can include herbal tea Smile.

I wish I could wear a hat..always feel daft though Sad. I loved yours Liberty.

MarshaBrady · 23/10/2013 11:02

Shop noo I'm really glad I tried I it, otherwise I'd still be hankering for it.

Hi Sorting welcome! I saw someone in that DvF at a party in black and it looked incredible.
