Hi Sorting and welcome. Thank you for referring to me as fabulous. I will try to live up to that moniker! I love the blue of the DVF and I think QueenC will too.

The Reiss coat is beautiful- classic and expensive looking. It really depends on trying on I think and also if the current trend is for exposed wrists or not. I like long sleeves and as I have short arms, they tend to always be that way Grin.

Will have a look for similar boots and report back.

MarshaBrady · 23/10/2013 11:14

Mig you're a lovely Vogue ambassador.

On my way to F&B shop to check shearling (not paint). Then long lunch with dh sans dc. It has been ages and am really looking forward to it. Grin

Am in soft greys- Stella motos, Theory mu jumper and black suede Lanvin wedges.

RubyLovesShopping · 23/10/2013 11:19

Marsha f&b EnvyEnvy are you looking at the lined boots?

MarshaBrady · 23/10/2013 11:21

Ruby yes the impractical ones on mnv from NaP and to see if they have any flat ones.

RubyLovesShopping · 23/10/2013 11:35

They're lovely but not quite snow boots!! If you live out here in the constant rain and mud they'd be lucky to get worn at all Grin
Looking forward to an update later enjoy your lunch.

MarshaBrady · 23/10/2013 11:36

Haha I know. But I've just got to look so I can move on Wink

I shouldn't do suede really in normal life let alone snow!

mignonnette · 23/10/2013 11:40

Thank you Marsha and have a lovely lunch!

LinusDKD · 23/10/2013 12:11

marsha have a lovely lunch! Be good in the F&B shop... Hmm

sorting welcome!

libertychick · 23/10/2013 12:14

Welcome sorting. Love the DVF dress - I think Decam might have it or be thinking about it....I'll keep an eye out for burgundy ankle boots - I'd quite like a pair too.

Marsha outfit today's sounds lovely - have a great lunch.

QueenCadbury · 23/10/2013 12:55

Hello, can't remember when I last posted sometime yesterday as I'm in a sleep deprived hug. Dd has an ear infection, saw the GP yesterday and because we 're flying on Sunday she's gave us antibiotics. Thankfully dd seems much happier now.

Welcome sorting. What season/style are you? I love that dvf dress and would have tried it myself but I have an irrational dislike of exposed zips! Love those boots too. And the coat although it would look like a dressing gown in me Grin. I'm guessing for your links that you may be a winter and if so come and join us on our winter board too.

shop all sounds pretty hideous. Re the bosses, I'm sure that potential buyers can see through those. Better to have them view than risk them buying something else instead.

novice shame about the rock studs. Did they pass the dh test or does he also prefer the attwoods.

one it's so lovely to hear you so upbeat. Grin at your story about the fake tan. Luckily in bristol we don't have too much of that going on although I do avoid the city centre on weekend nights so possibly there are lots of orange people.

marsha shame about the coat. Are you still coat less? Did you take that other one back to liberty I can't remember.

dry/liberty thanks for the jewellery links. Lots of lovely stuff but nothing that really grabs me. I shall wait to look at the s&d ones and if no good I shall just layer up the bracelets that I have.

mig love that look ith lots of necklaces. I've only done 2 so far as all mine are pretty much the same length so doesn't look right.

Popped to tesco today and checked out the clothes as dmbl40 bought a blouse from there the other day. If you don't mind poly then are lots of lovely blouses but nothing that I could be arsed to try on with dd in tow. And to be fair I don't really need any more blouses.

I may resurrect my riding boots again. Even with jeans they look better than calf/ankle. Hopefully I can style them so that I don't look too dated! Would love a day dress still but haven't found anything yet and dresses are so wired on me that I'm not ordering online.

Phew, sorry that was an epic post Grin

QueenCadbury · 23/10/2013 12:56

Meant to add that November birthdays are the best! shop come to bristol!

shopafrolic · 23/10/2013 13:10

M1 closed, got stuck in epic traffic jam with DS (who had already had a tantrum in Sainsbury's). Took an hour to get home instead of 10 mins - all food in boot so DS just screamed for the entire duration. I need to emigrate Grin.
Welcome Sorting
Marsha have a fabulous lunch x
Sleep the quinoa....... where do I find that?? I looked everywhere in the supermarket without success.

Hi SortingMeOut, did you used to have an Italian name? I don't have that dress but it is high on my wish list in navy, despite rare opportunities to wear it.

We are looking at houses now Shop, boxes in the hall wouldn't put me off. I like the Paige jeans, I live in my Hoxtons.

Liberty, I am sure you looked lovely in the Me & Em skirt and Whistles blazer. I found a 20% off code got this today to wear with the same skirt.

Also ordered this Tommy Hilfiger pea coat for next spring (or could wear now, it is so mild!) from Cocosa. It showed up as half that price this morning. No Goldsigns left. Sad

Hope your DD is better today, Queen and sorry you missed your course.

MarshaBrady · 23/10/2013 16:29

Lovely jacket Decam.

Foxy you did very well with those Goldsigns, I couldn't even see where they were.

QueenC I did take back the Sessun. I have the Marant Etoile posh cardigan (better than coatigan!) and it's been so mild I haven't even use it that much. But I will need something. Perhaps in the sales.

Lunch was lovely. Even managed some relaxing outside in the sunshine, after two glasses of champagne, not bad at all.

Went into F&B and wow the shearling boots are warm. Like wearing a sheep on your foot. I would need flat leather ones if I got some. And I'm not sure. They would have to be half price or less for me to bother I think.

Drywhiteplease · 23/10/2013 16:38

Sleep I'm with you on hats. Love them, can do a good occasion hat, but casual hats make me look all cheeks and I can never get my hair right.
Queen you're taking over the typo mantle ....doubt Shop will have her bosses at a house viewing!!Grin
Large glass of Wine for Shop traffic jams are rubbish ESP when you have a toddler in the car......I'm still scarred and so is DS from the time we got stuck, during potty training, on the M25 with a desperate little boy. DH , being a v law abiding person, refused to stop on the hard shoulder and I had to get the poor kid to pee in a bottle......DS was Hmm

Exciting last minute invitation to Cirque du soleil with DH and clientstonight....managed to get dcs sorted and I'm going. Fantastic.

Clarks bikers arrived...I think I like them. Need to look on Pinterest. Basically the look is skinny jeans, longer tops isn't it? How do you wear yours? Would be v useful everyday boot, get a lot of wear once I've got my head around them. Excellent price......if I decide I like them. No luck with p a terre.

OneLittleLady · 23/10/2013 16:39

Finally settled on a coat. Will try and post a pic you know where later. I had found a lovely red wool coat in HoF but when I tried it on, I kid you not, the sleeves were nearly ten inches past my wrists! it was a lovely coat but not nice enough to go through the hassle of finding a good tailor (which are in very short supply here)to alter the sleeves for me. Also got a purple, short sleeve open knit jumper from Dorothy Perkins, the colour is really rich and deep and I love it.

foxysocks · 23/10/2013 16:59

re: goldsigns there was only one pair in a 24 so I nabbed them. they are cropped though, so am hoping look ok. tbh for £20 I am sure I can style em up somehow, they were reduced from £209!

my asos boyfriend patch jeans are here. i need to go and try them on.

but the absolute best news from my day is non fashion related. DH has decided to change his flights!!!!!! i am literally in shock. he has shortened his trip from five weeks to three, so is staying here an extra fortnight. I think he was really worried that with my neck/shoulder, building work, work, kids, etc etc I was actually going to collapse. tbh I was a bit worried I was too. have had too many crying episodes over last week to even count them. anyway, he is up for best husband of the year award and I am sooooo relieved.

OneLittleLady · 23/10/2013 17:01

Aw foxy that's good news for you. Hope it's made you feel better. How is your shoulder now? Are the tablets effective?

foxysocks · 23/10/2013 17:04

it's feeling much better thanks one. not 100% at all, I still cannot do anywhere near my full yoga practice, but i'll take a pain free night's sleep atm! I haven't taken anything apart from two paracetamol first thing, and we have done A LOT of house jobs and running around today.

i also got sent a £10 off voucher from the white company my indecision may be coming to an end....

mignonnette · 23/10/2013 17:11

Ladies, I have some skirt love for you all.

What do you think of these from the Matches site?

Is this a bit Pat Butcher?
Slightly bonkers from Carven;
Even more bonkers from McQ;
Lovely Helmut;
Carven again;
How on earth would you clean this?

Foxy Take it easy. Don't push that shoulder my love.

foxysocks · 23/10/2013 17:41

I'll try mig. it's just so stressful with this house stuff, we HAD to go and look at lighting (indoors for over island), the outdoors security lights, light switch/dimmer panels, plug sockets blah blah. I now have two weeks off teaching so am going to rest as much as I can. will look at your skirt links once DC in bed. xxx

am wearing my asos boyf jeans. LOVE them! so comfortable, will be great for india.

mignonnette · 23/10/2013 17:45

I know Foxy. Just try to avoid lifting even if you feel it is getting better.
It is so hard to recover from anything when you are a parent let alone all the other stuff. Flowers

LinusDKD · 23/10/2013 19:23

Wine again for shop

mig those skirts are a bit too out there for me (but then again, I am quite a conservative dresser with occasional flashes of quirkiness Wink)

foxy such good news about your DH! And the fact that your shoulder is getting better.

one can't wait to see your coat!

OneLittleLady · 23/10/2013 19:25

Just waiting for DP to get home to take a pic for me linus the mirror is too high up on the wall for me to get a decent picture in it. Going to ask DP to lower it at the weekend Grin

Decameron · 23/10/2013 20:18

Huh, I should stop buying from the White Co, they never send me a voucher!

That's great your DH cut short his trip, Foxy.

I love the DVF, Helmut and second Carven, Mig.
