Pretty shocking for a button to fall off after only a few wears tbh Shop if I'd spent that much on a coat, I'd expect better. I've had coats costing less than a quarter of that and had no buttons fall of despite constant wear so I would expect better of something at that price.

Annianni · 20/10/2013 23:21

Marsha have you seen the Frye boots on brand alley?
There's some nice ones...

santamarianovella · 20/10/2013 23:22

Good to hear that one Smile
novice houses with original features really agree well to strong colors, but i wouldnt use strong colors for family room, often people will get bored and will re paint in a matter of a year.
i personally don't believe in big rooms mean strong color theory, many small rooms look great with strong dark colors, its how you decorate it that matters,

Regarding the kids rooms,I a gree with one, they will soon get over sharing a room,

Annianni · 20/10/2013 23:23

That shouldn't have happened Shop, but I'm not surprised.
The amount of things I've bought over the years, that have needed repairing is shocking.

Annianni · 20/10/2013 23:29

Novice my parents old house had stupidly high ceilings, it was decorated with dark colours when we moved in. They re-did it in lighter ones and it felt much better.

I would decorate a room each for the dc's and then let them sleep over wherever.
That would also come in handy, if anyone was ill in the night. Easier to get them into a clean room/bed instead of fannying about with bedding at silly o'clock.

Decameron · 21/10/2013 07:47

The buttons fell of my DVF and Alberta Ferretti coats soon after I bought them. It shouldn't happen but often does.

Dry, thanks for the photo. Those bracelets are what I was thinking of getting.

Nice shopping with the Hudsons, Anni.

Fleece is very sensible with rising energy prices! I have a Hush fleece dressing gown on the way.

Shop, I have another book recommendation for you: The Round House by Louise Erdrich. Fascinating.

Decameron · 21/10/2013 07:48

Frye boots got me through many a New York winter, off to check that sale out. Thanks Anni.

shopafrolic · 21/10/2013 08:13

Marsha pm... Found you some proper snowboots! :o

Annianni · 21/10/2013 09:37

And they are sensible, with no heels, in a practical colour... So you'll hate them!

MarshaBrady · 21/10/2013 09:44

Haha thanks Anni! Grin They are proper ones! Am going to ponder that for a minute. Out of my zone Wink

Shop have put a jumper on mnv. Can see you in the outfit.

Annianni · 21/10/2013 09:48

They aren't the prettiest of things, but you'd be warm and dry. And they're cheap! then you could get the Choo's or those impractical F&B's :o

MarshaBrady · 21/10/2013 09:50

Haha that's true. I am in Shoreditch this week and there's a new F&B store close by. Will see how they are and if can complement with those ones. thank you!

LinusDKD · 21/10/2013 09:52

Morning!

one it's good to hear you are feeling good about yourself!

santa impressive shopping. I was also tempted by the ShopBop sale but nothing really grabbed me.

It is hard living in a different country than your loved ones and saying goodbye after a visit. Once, when DS cried when he had to say goodbye to DP's after a visit, DF (who is the least emotional person I know!) had tears in his eyes.

novice I would also decorate each DC's room separately and focus on the accessories as well. Hello Kitty and Thomas the Tank Engine might be their favourite at the moment but we all know that can change overnight.

shop good to hear The Outnet have responded.

I forgot who it was who had to e-mail head office in France to complain about customer service at a shop in London, but did you ever hear back from them?

shopafrolic · 21/10/2013 09:55

Marsha they have the Chloe coat in charcoal grey!! Will Pin on MNV.....

LinusDKD · 21/10/2013 10:55

Well done marsha!

I am tempted by a navy SbC coat but I'm also still pining after that second hand coat I saw last week.

RubyLovesShopping · 21/10/2013 10:55

Oh am so tempted by that it is lovely. If only it were navy. Plus have just bought navy coat too. Sizing advice please shop? V tempted to see it and compare!
Excellent MarshaSmile glad you got it.

RubyLovesShopping · 21/10/2013 10:58

Just seen sizing advice! Will debate what to do. Who bought 2 coats recently, dry? Shop? If so are you getting wear from both?
Tartan scarf is lovely and soft thanks amber for the tip re EWM

mignonnette · 21/10/2013 11:16

I have the classic Frye Campus boots. They are heavy but do the job whilst making you feel like Ali McGraw in Love Story without the fatal illness
