battery I was worried about that too. I now use blanx whitening toothpaste and light activated gel. The active ingredient is arctic lichen and it won't damage the enamel.

rockchick your hair dye should be fine, but you may find the colour fades quicker on your highlighted strands than on the rest of your hair.

Sorry for lack of posts, been super busy getting ready for going away tomorrow (and of course Halloween last night!)

batterylow · 01/11/2013 15:33

I Will look into that too thanks. I could maybe put it in my mould still. Does it work well?

ControlCreeeaaak · 01/11/2013 15:44

battery I have very yellow teeth and I do think they are brighter and a more even colour since starting with the blanx. It's light activated, and one of the products comes complete with a mouth thingie that lights up your entire face from the inside I should probably have put it in to answer the door last night but putting it in your own mould would probably work too!

lucysmam · 01/11/2013 19:40

Grin helga I had to double check with dp's mum the first time my oldesy smiled at me Blush Sounds like you're enjoying getting out and about with your dd Smile .

I think I'm going on strike! Have broken another nail so going to file them all off short when the girls go to bed. forgot to do my normal Sunday pre shower/shower routine for going out tomorrow Confused (probably because it's only Friday). I have put some dispersible asprin mixed into a paste on my huge giant spot though so at least I remembered something.

Control did you carve your pumpkins by scraping the skin off to reveal the flesh? I'm impressed! Mine will be EPIC next year Hmm

Evening all

Everyone is doing so well despite life getting in the wwy of pampering Smile

I've been severely lacking in my normal routine as I wasconfined to my bed for a couple of days this week feeling horrendous and sleeping all the time. I think the nights with DD2 and the days with DD1 took everything out of me and my body gave up to rest.

DH does now realise how tiring they both are after doing everything bar feeding the baby on his own

I am getting back on track now though. Plus have been fqr too organised and have almost done my Christmas shopping! !

I might try that blanx toothpaste when my current one runs out.

lucysmam · 01/11/2013 20:54

Petals, I hope you're feeling better now? I had the same a couple of years back when number two was tiny....my body was that out of sync I slept loads at random hours & was up to eat in the middle of the night Confused Hopefully you'll be able to get some more rest in now your dp has had to deal with everything on his own.

I'm seeing a lot of satisfying crossings through on my Xmas lists too....just really need to crack on with the kids stuff & actually order what I have earmarked for everyone else. At least the food/wrapping paper/decs/stockings are pretty much sorted Grin

I've decided I'm going to have a mini face pampering session in the morning & run my ghd's over my hair again too. Hopefully this big red spot will calm itself down by then Hmm IT'S A MONSTER & ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE Sad

Had a run around Penny's today as had the buggy not the sling so DH watched DD. Got 2 hoodies, a lovely warm cardigan, a jumper, a pair of cable knit leggings (which will not suit me but they looked so cosy), thermal top and leggings (meant to get two tops , got the leggings by mistake) and a pair of fake uggs to wear as slippers. Total €86. Will put a photo on Facebook. I really like one of the hoodies, it's gray with a kind of nordic pattern in white and the hood is wolly.

OP posts:
lucysmam · 02/11/2013 18:31

helga I like those leggings, my oldest lives in them (they do kids ones too). I tried to replace a pair she's worn to death with a different colour & her face dropped Grin . Have you tried them to see what they look like on yet?

We've not long been in, had a peaceful lunch & glass of Wine .....was most bargainous too. They only charged us for one meal, dp paid & he never checks receipts. I didn't notice until he gave it to me and I was double checking it but by then we were at the other side of town Confused

I picked up some Christmassy bits in poundland & world...perpetual advent calendar, wooden decs to go with my candy canes and a 'santa was here kit' with footprint stencils, glitter and a letter from santa in it. I could have kept going but as there are eight ish weeks to go, I thought I'd leave some stock for other people Grin

Agh, I used to be on this thread when it started, but one sleepless night too many (young dc) send me back to the crisps and no exercise! Can I rejoin?
Have dh's work party in 2 weeks so it's pretty urgent - plan to cut sugar and carbs as think this will make the most difference - and get back on board with routines. Can you think of any other last minute fixes? Already have hair appt for an up-do which will have fallen out by party time and may book mani. I also need control pants - any recommendations? - to ensure dress fits :D

lucysmam · 03/11/2013 13:59

Afternoon all Smile

Make up free Sunday here, I didn't blow dry last night but did oil my hair.

I did half my Sunday routine yesterday morning so just feet to do really & defuzz.

Lonely of course you're welcome to join back in Smile Where's the party & what are you wearing?

If I were you, I'd do a weekly face mask, hair mask, extra hand moisturising & up my water intake...plus get eyebrows threaded and make sure my nails are painted

HelgatheHairy · 03/11/2013 18:48

Goatherd I remember you! I'd up my water intake lots and check out your eyebrows. Having my eyebrows under control really makes me look more groomed, but them I have dark hair and eyebrows that go ridiculously out of control.

lucysmam · 03/11/2013 20:38

uh-oh, my straighteners are not having a good day...they cut out twice while I was straightening my hair Sad am going to email ghd and see if I can appeal to their better nature wrt a repair for nearly ten year old irons Confused

Other than that, my jeans gave up the ghost today so am going to get a pair in the morning & plan to try to stitch my coat back together tomorrow evening.

Am about to mini manicure my hands & put on a single coat of neutral polish for tomorrow then will sit in peace tomorrow night & paint my nails properly.

('tis a tad tumbleweedy in here again....hope you're all alright Confused )

Dilidali · 03/11/2013 23:30

Yep! :)
Done my nails this morning. Then went for a bit of shopping for little girls' long sleeved tops. I found a black long one for me as well.

Done my eyebrows and prepared my clothes for tomorrow. Lunch is also ready for work tomorrow.
Didn't do much exercise this weekend, had a long walk planned, food got in the way :) amazing food, it was cooked by others. Unplanned. Perfect.
Have a lovely week ladies :)

Karbea · 03/11/2013 23:40

Hello, remember me?
Can I rejoin?
I've had a mega stressful time and so, diet, beauty, exercise have been firmly thrown out the window.
But I'm 40 in 2 months time, I need to shake myself up a bit! Plus I'm really uncomfortable after eating so badly :( hair on my legs is over a cm long... Getting the idea??? :(

Rockchick1984 · 04/11/2013 07:51

Morning all! I had a pamper of myself last night - nails, eyebrows and roots all sorted, body lotion smothered on from head to toe, unfortunately DS seems to have woken up with a cold so its likely that no one will see all my hard work! Still, at least I did it, feel much better for it. Going to try and get doing more exercise too, saw my thighs in the mirror as I got undressed yesterday and they aren't a pretty sight Sad don't want to make more work for myself after the baby arrives so may as well try to control things a bit now!

lucysmam · 04/11/2013 08:45

Good morning Smile

Just on my way to town to replace my jeans and have my eyebrows threaded. Am going to take a leaf from Dilidali's book and pick up a small next year diary too. Am going to use it both for rennovation reminders and Christmas stuff for next year since dd found my christmas book for this year....hopefully a diary will appeal less than the pretty book I have this year!

I need to get my copper & 5p jar changed into paper money this week too so I can go and get socks/knicks/vests for stockings and two tins of Christmas choccies. Need some more Aussie too but that'll have to wait for Friday when dp gets paid Smile

Right, bus is here. Have a fab Monday everyone Smile

Karbea · 04/11/2013 11:11

Good progress this morning.
Had a healthy breakfast and took vits. Showered shaved legs and put on a Moroccan oil hair treatment (which I recommend, hair looks/feels nice), put on whitening strips. Going to take lunchtime vits on my bag so hopefully will remember to take them! Going to get batteries for scales today!

vvviola · 04/11/2013 11:53

~waves~

I actually managed vitamins, quick defuzz, shower, quick exfoliation & washed/conditioned hair this morning. Which is significant progress on the past few days!

Do I get bonus points seeing as I'm a filthy student so technically could get away with not showering for weeks Wink

(Sorry, I've gone a bit daft from the pressure. 2 weeks to go)

bigkidsdidit · 04/11/2013 12:15

Morning all

I've discovered the best face cream ever! Last night I put ds1 to bed then went to the bathroom and put on a face pack. It needed 20 minutes so I went down to make a cup of tea. At which point DH finished putting ds2 to bed and locked himself in the bathroom Hmm

I washed off the pack in the downstairs loo but really needed some face cream (I have dry skin and it was getting tight). So I put ds2's oilatum cream on. This morning my skin feels AMAZING!

lucysmam · 04/11/2013 13:38

I'm back from town/school run. got my jeans (seven quid...bargain!) and some christmas earrings. Picked up a couple more decs too, a few more bits off my Christmas cupboard list and marzipan for the cakes I haven't made yet Confused

Dp's just chucked something to me & it caught me full on in the eye Sad so that's sore. Just hope it doesn't bruise!

Pic on fb....I want opinions on my eyebrows please for next time I have them done Smile

Best go check the small one....she's suspiciously quiet Hmm

LonelyGoatherd · 04/11/2013 14:19

I can't give up the Brew caffeine, but am trying to renovate self - think a short 2 week deadline helps! Have defuzzed tash, tidied eyebrows (and booked 'proper' sesh just before nightout), hot cloth cleansed a couple of times, used hair oil, drinking loads of herbal tea instead of water, taking vits, flossing 2x day, and eating no sugary carby snacks (this will be the hardest!). Most of these are pretty basic, but am in survival, not princess mode! Would like to add some exercise in, but work self-employed and have a two week project to fit in while the kids are asleep .

Actually, one great thing I did this autumn was a style day with HOC so at least I know what I should be wearing...
