Good morning Smile

vvv wow, that's come round quickly! What's your dissertation subject? (I am not the brightest button sometimes so you may need to speak simple peoples english Grin ). At least your LL will do the work you need....we're still no further along & househunting has come to a standstill because the overtime's dried up atm so we won't be able to afford to move Confused

Control I never usually look at hair stuff in Poundland, need to get some bits for the kids advent calendars though (reuseable ones) so will have a look for the rollers while I get some slides and clip in hair thingumys for them.

Blue I'm rubbish at exercise too! I hated PE at school & was never encouraged to do anything much active. I do try to walk as much as possible though, might that be less like exercise?

I am very lazy this morning. Have only done hot water & lemon and taken vits so far. I have been significantly more productive round the house though. Just waiting for the Mr Muscle to do its thing on the cooker top with my second Brew then going to see what the girls fancy doing today (house based & halloweenish stuff I'm thinking) and get myself dressed and made up.

Have a good day everyone Smile

Lucysmam - it's about how being a member of organisations like the EU and the OECD impacts how policy is made in certain countries. It's interesting only to me and my supervisor, and sometimes I think my supervisor is faking it WinkGrin

Landlord is pretty good really - they've also replaced the dishwasher recently and if stuff needs fixing they are happy to let us (well DH) sort it, and then take the cost off the rent. They're a pretty huge change to our last one who I still get really angry with when I see her in town.

Managed a defuzz & evening routine today which isn't too bad considering everything that's going on.

Rockchick1984 · 30/10/2013 12:34

Hello all, I joined for a while then fell off the wagon Blush anyway I'm back if you'll have me!

I've been trying to make small changes, am currently 22 weeks pregnant but determined not to gain weight and generally let myself go like I did when I had DS so I've started well, started this morning doing a prenatal exercise DVD which I'll try to do most days, I have been keeping my nails tidy and painted, and I've started washing my face in coconut oil, and wearing a bit of make up every day. Also managing to vaguely keep my weight in check compared to when I had DS - have gained a stone so far but it's definitely all bump as I can still wear pre baby jeans if I don't fasten them Grin

Does anyone know much about hair dye? I got highlights but don't like them so I want to go back to my normal blonde box dye - will it knacker my hair if I use it over the bleached highlights? The shade I use is slightly darker than the highlights have come out, and is a cool shade if that makes a difference.

lucysmam · 30/10/2013 12:46

Um.....we're off out on Saturday! Dp's mum is having the kids late afternoon and giving them tea for us....apparently dp has had some cash stashed to treat me!

I have nothing to wear....I'm thinking possibly maybe my sleeveless leopard print top, black skinnies and boots since we're going out early. will post a pic for opinions in the morning (too lazy to go change now Grin ). Will have to paint my nails and beautify on Friday too as I need to take the girls to town Saturday morning to get dd1 more tights (how do you ladder wooly tights, exactly Confused )

vvv erm.....I dunno what to say tbh.....I don't understand things like that Confused

Rockchick I tried a diy dye a good while ago & ended up with a line round my hair where it coloured the roots but not the ends Hmm ....something to do with the blonde makes it harder to absorb the dye into the hair so colours fade easier too (I wasted hours at the hairdresser and £££££££££'s a couple of years ago trying to go deep red over my blonde highlights, it just didn't want to take no matter what I did)

Dilidali · 30/10/2013 13:36

Hello everybody!
I took some days off for half term, but I might as well not have bothered, I hardly saw my DD in the past 3 days.
Lucy, things will get better. I am amazed how cool calm and collected you are, with all the problems, I would have flapped and moaned. You seem just so... Calm!

Rockchick, welcome back!know nothing about hair dye, never done it so far.

Vvviola, where are you, evening routine?! Lol.
I actually think it is interesting. I know some people from E Europe, who's grandparents have small households, mini farms if you want, and now are unable to sell the excess produce in the market, the country imports milk and other stuff from other countries. I appreciate the stuff you are looking at is on a larger scale. Nevertheless, i think it's interesting.

I have a little diy project on the go, painting some furniture. In a plain colour :). I'm quite excited.

Meeting DH for lunch today and I'll be calling into his office so a bit of effort made with make up. Clothes are ok but I don't have much to choose from. So indigo jeans and a grey/white top. And black and pink Adidas trainers. And the whole look will be accessorised by DD in her sling!

Hello, been meaning to come on here for ages. I am trying to sort out my appearance after a bad year and lack of sleep have made me age disproportionately! Also want to lose about ten pounds.

Dilidali · 01/11/2013 08:40

Hi battery, you found us! Welcome!

lucysmam · 01/11/2013 09:09

Morning all Smile

Not a good start here, have just broken a nail pulling some books off the bookshelf to find what dd2 wanted Confused Not sure whether to bother painting them or chop them all off now so they're all the same (stubby) length.

Dp hasn't been paid properly again, not impressed at all tbh! No point going to bloody work if they're not going to pay properly.

Helga did you have a nice time out with dh & dd?

Battery hello Smile

Dilidali I'm really not calm and collected about the whole thing Grin ...lists are my answer to everything! If I get it all neatly on paper, my head feels less cluttered up & I feel calmer.

I plan to aspirin mask the couple of giant spots I have to start the day, although tempted to cancel tomorrow tbh, there's not enough to do anything with once rent's paid Sad Am going to do some more baking later on and then clean my boots too. At least if we do go out, I'll be smart and tidy Smile

Have a nice day everyone, best go referee the girls before they explode Grin Hmm

batterylow · 01/11/2013 09:34

Hello! Thanks for pointing me this way! My children are drawing so I have five seconds peace! I am drinking my third coffee... so not doing too well but have had two large glasses water too and a hot water. That reminds me I always used to start the day on hot water and lemon. Will take my vitamins in a min. And trying to eat fruit instead of crisps...

batterylow · 01/11/2013 09:36

I need to find crest whitening strips, any ideas? I actually have a dental mould but have run out of bleach for it.

lucysmam · 01/11/2013 09:43

have you tried amazon and ebay battery? I'd bet one or both does them Smile

lucysmam · 01/11/2013 09:54

whitening strips on amazon

Smile
batterylow · 01/11/2013 11:26

Ooh I will order some now!

batterylow · 01/11/2013 11:27

Thank you!

HelgatheHairy · 01/11/2013 12:01

Be careful of those whitening strips. The packaging is clever but they're not Crest ones so the quality might not be as good.

OP posts:
HelgatheHairy · 01/11/2013 12:03

The proper Crest ones are definately on eBay. Can't link right now as feeding DD. I was going to get them from eBay but going to wait till I'm in NY now

OP posts:
HelgatheHairy · 01/11/2013 14:17

DD was an angel meeting DHs colleagues. Smiles and all. She started whinging a little bit when we went to get lunch but I fed her and she calmed down. Was my first time breast feeding in public. I had her in the sling and I was pretty awkward but I can only get better!

Today I tried in wellies that were too small on the leg last time I wore them. Today my feet just slid right in. I was only wearing leggings so nothing thick but I'm still delighted!

OP posts:
batterylow · 01/11/2013 14:35

Thanks in fact I googled and found an article about how some whitening stuff destroys enamel and leads to worse stains. Eek! May ask the dentist again and pay whatever it was for his stuff although it may have been as bad as it gave me bad sensitivity.
