bigkids we have some cetraben cream (I've been using it for my feet since we have three huge bottles & rarely use it for dd)....wonder if that might do the same thing, my skin needs something as a pick me up! I feel very dull and blah today Confused

bigkidsdidit · 04/11/2013 15:28

Try it! Have a good exfoliate first and stick loads on.

lucysmam · 04/11/2013 16:12

I'll give it a whirl tonight....can't look any duller than it already does Hmm

Karbea · 04/11/2013 21:03

Evening, lucysmam I commented on fb hope that was ok feedback :/
I've painted my nails tonight, but they look dreadful,as the gels from a month ago aren't entirely grown out.
Lunch was unhealthy, dinner healthy, took vits :)

lucysmam · 04/11/2013 21:17

yeah thanks karbea, I just hadn't got round to answering....they're so erm, spaced out because I was a touch tweezer happy when I was younger Grin Am going to try very hard not to touch at all for the next few weeks & then see what they are like.

Well, my eye is still sore and red Sad no bruise but feels scratched under my top eyelid if you get me?

& to add to the wonderful few weeks we've had...my dad has thrown his toys out of the pram and taken back the phone he lent dp (was meant to be until dp's upgrade because his phone is dead....he told me my sisters phone was dead.....then she sat here playing away on it when they came to pick my dads up Confused )

Have done my evening routine & put some of dd's cetraben on my face, just about to have a google for something (I have no clue what Hmm ) to sort it out....I look bloody awful lately

Karbea · 04/11/2013 21:43

lucysmam I was the same, I had pretty much no eyebrows at one stage. I had to leave them and not touch them, I looked like a scarecrow for a bit.

lucysmam · 04/11/2013 22:07

Grin I imagine I will be doing my very best scarecrow impersonation soon!

50 days to go

halfway there

OP posts:
lucysmam · 05/11/2013 08:55

good morning everyone Smile

Can't believe we're on 50 day countdown!!

bigkids thanks for the oilatum tip, I tried the cetraben last night & my skin is super soft today Grin ....am going to have to start using on dd for a while though, she's got two really sore looking patches of excema on the backs of her thighs Sad

Karbea · 05/11/2013 11:33

Morning all,

Last night I used cliniques Take the day off cleansing balm, it's a bit good!
I've taken my vits (good), forgot to scrub in the shower (bad).

50 days - urgh, considering I bunked off most of the first 50, I'm worried I've not left enough time. I think I'm going to add one (at least) thing in a day, will keep a list on FB, if I can make 50 changes that's gotta have an impact...

Ive my interview at tescos later... Until then, cleaning woo!!

LonelyGoatherd · 05/11/2013 11:58

gah, no sleep=back on the caffeine and non-stop cake.
Still, will have a vitamin or 2 with lunch and have hair oil on hair. baby steps Grin

HelgatheHairy · 05/11/2013 18:45

It's too cold for beautifying! All I want to do is get in and out of the shower as fast as possible so no micro peding, no dry body brushing, no moisturising.

In other news, the Tiffany's necklace I linked to that was to be my Christmas present from DH is gone from the website! Going to get a chunky watch instead, any suggestions?

Karbea · 05/11/2013 19:20

A nice Michael kors one?

Think I'm going to do a face mask and paint my toe nails tonight.

HelgatheHairy · 05/11/2013 20:30

I kind of think with Michael Kors you're just paying for the name. Seen a few nice Guess ones in Debenhams. Going to try and get downtown to proper jewellers soon.

lucysmam · 05/11/2013 21:47

I have a nice chunky Jasper Conran watch Helga, it's gold &the band is made up of three bands connected together by little links if you get me. I'll see if I can find it to link in the morning.

I've vaselined my eyebrows as well as usual routine tonight, I read somewhere that it can stimulate growth....can't remember where but it's worth a shot to see if I can grow back the middles of my eyebrows (I won't let them become a monobrow though & will try to keep the rest tidy without over-doing it Grin )

Karbea · 05/11/2013 22:02

lucysmam I reckon you should just not touch them at all for awhile, otherwise you'll be tempted...

What shall I add to my list tomorrow? Apart from "no sugar"...

lucysmam · 05/11/2013 22:08

Confused I might end up with honey monster eyebrows Grin .....caterpillars!!!!

What have you done so far? I haven't read fb properly today but spied your update earlier. I usually pumice my feet, aspirin face mask any big spots and check nails on a Weds evening....sort of a mini version of a Sunday

3asAbird · 05/11/2013 22:09

Wondering how to master stylish in playground in the rain.

lucysmam · 05/11/2013 22:11

3....invest in a nice hat for school runs....I have loads of them & they make life so much easier than faffing with a brolly Smile

lucysmam · 05/11/2013 22:12

Karbea · 05/11/2013 22:40

Yes I took my pinterest pic to the hairdresser they still made me too blonde but I did try

Umm pumice... I should have done a proper pedicure tonight really, I used to sit with my foot balm covere feet in sandwich bags when I was single, it made them lovely and soft. Oh well maybe I'll pumice tmr then. I could do with veet'ing my moustache too.

lucysmam · 05/11/2013 22:43

I never thought to use sarnie bags...good thinking batman! Grin I'd sit and do the pedi without the polish & smother my feet in cream maybe, and then polish them thursday

lucysmam · 05/11/2013 22:45

Almost forgot, have ordered an epistick for my top lip. Figured it's worth a try for less than a quid

Karbea · 05/11/2013 22:48

Omg that looks scary!

Maybe I'll join you tomorrow night with the sandwich bag pedicure then ;)

3asAbird · 05/11/2013 23:17

Thank you everyone think might go for bob as easier look after as my hairs so thick gets knotty easy already deep condition and use kiddy detangling spray i confess i cut a large knot out back the other month but once done realised how short and stubby at back hoping bit clever layer can disguise it better.God knows what hairdresser will think.
used to have home hairdresser mum from school but she did crazy weird cuts far too choppy.

Colour been dying it dark brown.

if wanted to go more bright red would i have to use colour stripper?
as last time used one at hairdressers week before my wedding they turned my hair green. im so bored.

been really down latly and with 3 kids find it hard make the time to pamper me and make time i start off year with good intentions.

was using lidls day and night cream but everyone said aldis just as good.

brought some superdrug bb cream other month not tried yet.

i used to love the heated face masks.

really missing boots own brand intesive conditioners in tub they did a honey one and a henna one now discontinued cant seem to find intensive conditioner as good don't rate aussie or hot oil.

The ones that come with the colours seem to be the best.

noticed b&m did have tigi few months back not sure if they still do.

used to love the tigi shine spray.

wondering to fake tan spray or not or if would look odd in winter im naturally very pasty.

brought mascara other week just collection 2000 but its rubbish not helped by fact 2 year old got hold of it and bent the wand.

gong to wash and deep condition hair tommorow am then straighten before hairdressers which ubby says is mad like cleaning before cleaner comes round.

nails are no existant.

I did buy size 8 party dress off ebay thinking it spur me into fitting into it.

was going to try running up and down stairs, crunches and sit ups.

hate my tummy the most and have lots clothes that dont fit.

managed to lose 3lb couple weeks ago but fallen back into old crappy ways.

fed up looking and feeling like a state and seeing other mummies more groomed.

Rarly see family so be great go back christmas day and look dramtically different and better.

but 50 days seems so short amount of time.

Eyebrows should i have them done professionally? whats least painful option with them? used to tweeze a lot pre kids. and do regular facials.

want to look expensive on lemonade budget.

I also confess brought some clothes off 19 year old which hubby thinks is hilarious some of its nice other bits i loved but dont fit.

Im early 30s and deciding what can wer as everyones quite boring and practical in school playground its sea of northf ace and hunters.

I had coat disaster a brought abercrombie mac all way from states turns up its not waterproof its cotton and looks like something from dawsons creek.

I walk to school so usually look drowned rat in the rain.

most days i wear jeans, top and cardigans love my cardigans but fear might be turning into pauline fowler.
