Hello everyone, we had some friends staying this weekend, was lovely but now crashed on the sofa after getting very tired DC's into bed. I have been sort of keeping up with you all, some lovely links

Santa the wine thing was great! Wine and nutrition combined, two of my favourite things . Talk was given by the former wine buyer for the Connaught, very cool and funny French guy. Also an interesting one from Arsenal's nutritionist, interesting stuff and a stunning hotel. I wore the JBrand heels (Linus, pink peonies are the same as mine, in the gold ).

You guys getting chatted up in Sainsbo's - well played . Was particularly amused by the large cucumber situation!

Dry my DH has a turbo trainer, he disappears into the garden room to use it for hours in the winter. I think he researched the best one to get quite carefully, do you want me to ask what it is?

Oh Queen it's really not so bad - just long and a bit uncomfortable. Can you treat yourself to something nice afterwards?

Amber how are you feeling? Kidney infections are vile, have had a couple. So painful

QueenC root canal treatment along with wisdom tooth extraction are my ideas of hell.....You have my complete sympathy, HOWEVER.... This year I face my greatest fear, wisdom tooth extraction, petrified piece of wobbly jelly not sure you can have petrified jelly but you know what it was honestly absolutely fine. Really it was amazing! You will be fine....trust the biggest dental woooos around .xxxxx

Hi everyone! Oh good, everyone I was thinking "wonder how they are" has posted today! must be ESP i am in bed by 9pm with diptique candles lit and magic radio on, it's my Sunday night tradition. bliss after a mad day!

I have a clothes question for you all please.... I am just getting some vests to go under dd's school uniform. Is there any difference between John Lewis (my go to for everything) or marks and Spencer's? I think M&S is cheaper but quality is more important to me.

novice M&S are terrible for children's underwear,waste of money ,sorry mrsSHEEP i have not bought the JL ones though.

Have had a shitty old time of it. Have spent the day in hospital having lots of tests (including CT scan) for the worst headache I have ever had which has lasted 36 hours. Painkillers not working though tramadol has taken the edge off slightly. Am having a lumbar puncture in the morning :(

QueenC I have had a root canal - I won't lie, it wasn't great, but as with all dental work the needles were the worst thing. Still wasnt a patch on childbirth and you've done that, so you'll be fine!

Thanks for shoe info MrsR am planning on wearing them with shorter dresses for work. DH will hate them, but I don't give a rats arse.

I had a root canal a couple of years ago and it was ok,
(and I am a very nervous patient)
it was nowhere near as bad as I remembered (had one as a teen)
The £800 bill however...

I have two similar shaped coats, Liberty and decided I prefer those, also not sure I want to get black. I wanted to look at the Carven coat but Harvey Nicks didn't have it. I should probably try the J Crew pea coat first as it is half the price.
