A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.
Continuing on from here

It's the best bit Shop but not before you're 18!!!!!!Wink

LinusDKD · 25/09/2013 21:20

Well done dry! I think having parents that can speak openly and honestly about sex really makes a difference to how a teenager deals with all of it.

santamarianovella · 25/09/2013 21:23

dry if i asked my mum what an orgasm was i think she would have fainted! and i agree with your dd,you are a fab mum for talking to her so openly.

OneLittleLady · 25/09/2013 21:25

If it goes the other way, I once had my Mum asking me what Brazilian waxes and Rampant Rabbits were. I was pretty much Blush face

Annianni · 25/09/2013 21:26

Dry... What's an erection?
Well done you though
Wine Thanks

Novice, so scary.
I keep antihistamines at home just incase, as I'm allergic to random things, so are the boys.

shopafrolic · 25/09/2013 21:27

Go on Santa I've just shared my super trashed (I think I'm fab when I'm off my face) pics with you. And Dry shared the perm! The only reason I don't mind is because I feel as though we all know each other now! I want pics of Novice - I bet she looks no older now Wink

i will shop, just need to go through my photos,im so un high tech!

Annianni · 25/09/2013 21:30

One poor you!
I was traumatised last year, when my cousin informed me that she'd given my dm 50 shades to read... And that my df had also read it.

Drywhiteplease · 25/09/2013 21:31

I've surprised myself really....I have no problems actually telling them. I think I keep it factual, don't make jokes (one of their teachers in sex ed class opened the class with " we obv won't be doing any practicals".... I wanted to complain, that's pathetic) ....I was brought up by catholic parents and went to a girls convent school DH was v excited about this fact no brothers Hmm my knowledge was limited. As a parent your role is to help your kids get through life I think. I love that they can ask me questions . I did choke on my tea when she said "what's a boner?".... Ffs !!!

shopafrolic · 25/09/2013 21:32

My MIL asked me what I thought of 50 shades! Blush

We're not in the sex-talk zone yet. Making babies talk yes..

Drywhiteplease · 25/09/2013 21:33

P.s I learnt quickly once I left home Wink

shopafrolic · 25/09/2013 21:35

Yes - good point - we haven't talked about clothes for ages...... Well done Marsha. So the scarf from Whistles has arrived, and I'm not sure I love it anymore. More black, and less green than I remember......... what to do.....?

Annianni · 25/09/2013 21:35

I want to see photos of Sleep's hen do!

Dh is going to get my ancient clubbing photos out of the loft at the weekend for me.
I've told him that Ds2 wants to see Ds1's baby photos, and not that I'm putting photos online for people to laugh at :o
he's not into social networking at all and thinks that it's weird talking to strangers online

MarshaBrady · 25/09/2013 21:37

Oh I just meant my two are too little to ask direct questions. More the how are babies made stuff.

I felt good when I took back the Sessun. Maybe send it back Shop?

BrandyAlexander · 25/09/2013 21:37

Thank you so much everyone for the support, especially Mig Flowers. Dd has had a couple of attacks which we have never really been able to pin down. I know that face paint is bad for her and sun cream other than Toddler Milk by Sunsense is bad for her. I have been researching this everning and have decided to make an appointment with Dr Adam Fox who is a leading consultant paediatric allergist. At least we will know one way or another what's in and what's out because I am not keen to feel the way I did at 4.30pm today ever again! Dh and I both have private GPs provided through our work places so we both try and avoid our normal GP just in case we get this doctor or the other evil cow that's there. The pity of it is the other 5 doctors are just lovely and don't talk down to me or make me feel like a looney tune for daring to bother them. Hmm

Dry Blush Blush I take my hat off to you!

Annianni · 25/09/2013 21:38

My J crew tee's arrived today and they are lovely, but too clingy for me Sad

shopafrolic · 25/09/2013 21:39

I think you're right Marsha - more for the Pistol fund

MarshaBrady · 25/09/2013 21:40

Yes I think things have to be perfect these days. As in I really love this and it's just right. When you've got a full wardrobe, each new thing has to be really great.

shopafrolic · 25/09/2013 21:40

Mig your style makes so much more sense to me now I have seen you! :)

santamarianovella · 25/09/2013 21:41

MarshaBrady · 25/09/2013 21:42

Santa Yes ds1 does, he's 8. Can't remember it all now, but usual things, mostly how do they um get out!

shopafrolic · 25/09/2013 21:43

Will try scarf again tomorrow and then send back if not. And you're right Marsha I love everything else I own so much that it's hard if things aren't spot on.
Which reminds me..... which of you lovely ladies liked this navajo cardigan? It's about to be EBayed and I remember someone loved it. Was it you Grumpy?
