A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.

I love Eve Wornout ....I just love her baby who keeps running through her photos. Disappointed not to see the baby today ....always puts a smile on my face. Nice outfits too, but the baby does it for me!

What do we think of these 40 Bum posted them....I might check them out tomorrow......good god what's happening to me? Shock I wore leather trousers on my hen night......all went well until I went to the loo! impossible to get back on Grin never, never wear leather or fake leather to a sweaty night club....NEVER

shopafrolic · 24/09/2013 20:58

Dry when we meet you'll understand why I could never do a twinset
Foxy #middlelassbuilder made me ROFL
The James jeans only go up to a 31. Anni I hadn't checked measurements so am relieved I'm not as much of a fatty as I feared. Shame, they real are fab, and would fit well into my Autumn colours. A bit gutted TBH.

Dry pleather reminds me too much of my clubbing days where i 'rocked' a pleather corset top and skirt whilst making some shapes on my podium in front of a few thousand clubbers. V sweaty, and yes, hard to peel off at the end of the night!

Shop, you have just evoked some fond memoriesSmile right the trek back begins. Home in 15 hours time!

Mrs R, I am not too fond of the trousers but that's probably because I would go for skinnies or more classic shape!

I wore the Atwoods today! Dh made this face Hmm when I told him!Grin I figured its the last I will see of 30 degrees for months so may as well. (I am supposed to be in Hong Kong next month but trying to get out of it.) I wore my lovely orange Ann Taylor dress but look decidedly less glam right now!

So...it's a day ending in 'day', i am abroad and I almost lost something. I was wheeling my luggage along the corridor of the hotel heading towards lift when I had a feeling I was about to make a big mistake. I paused then realised then sprinted back to my room to pick up the diamond pendant dmil gave me from the bathroom.ShockShockShock

LinusDKD · 24/09/2013 21:19

MarshaBrady · 24/09/2013 21:22

Foxy oh no that sounds so tough. Poor everyone involved really! Love the middleclassbuilder thing too, hilar.

Got a new brief today. A meeting tomorrow. Keep trying to meet a friend with baby twins and we both keep having stuff happen that gets in the way ah!

MarshaBrady · 24/09/2013 21:30

Ah that's a shame Shop hate it when you really want something but they don't have the right thing.

Novice are you in NYC, is it 30 degrees? Shock wow

Dry could be good, something you have to see in rl I reckon.

shopafrolic · 24/09/2013 21:37

WinkMarsha!

Definitely good times Shop! I remember going clubbing once in winter and was only wearing a sweater. It got hot so up I popped onto the podium and whipped my sweater off to cool downGrin

BrandyAlexander · 24/09/2013 21:48

I agree with you all, the pendant was soooo lucky! I have about 5 trips in the next 3 months. I will be a nervous wreck at this rate!Shock

MarshaBrady · 24/09/2013 21:50

Oh that was SO lucky Novice. Thank goodness you went back.

shopafrolic · 24/09/2013 21:50

We always used to leave our coats in the boot of the car Novice. Which was fine until I came out of Fabric, 'worse for wear' at 4am wearing a backless cropped top, and a mini skirt and boots to find our car had been stolen in January. BRRRRRRRR!

Evening Lovelies!

Been mad busy lately as lovely PA is on holiday for a couple of weeks, so I'm doing her job as well as mine and time is short (plus she's v v capable and meticulous, so I'm trying to keep well on top of everything). I'll do a catch up later, but just wanted to share something with y'all, as we're talking (p)leather. Went into Next today (I know, I know) to pick up this nice little coat and chanced upon something remarkable. I've been hankering after these but they were too spendy - pinned them, kept gazing at them but all the time knowing I couldn't really pay that many £££. However...as I passed through the ladies' dept at Next I spotted these lookalikes. Now, they're not real leather, but they look it. They have a ponte waistband, ponte back panel and sturdy, pewter coloured zips at the ankles. To all intents and purposes they look very, very similar. But £257 less. Delighted.

Drywhiteplease · 24/09/2013 21:54

Nooo Shop. And I agree difference is excellent........
Novice couldn't you just go down to Claire's and buy some cheap tat to save you the stress on your next trip ?Grin

frankietwospots · 24/09/2013 22:00

Hello, newbie here! Ooo I must go and check those out in Next! I tried the M&S ones on in store and whilst they look good quality, I found the black ones v wrinkly on the legs, esp when I checked my rear view. Maybe a different colour would fit better as the reviews suggest they are inconsistent.

Drywhiteplease · 24/09/2013 22:03

Result Grumpy

Drywhiteplease · 24/09/2013 22:04

Hello Frankie will check out Next and M and S and report back tomorrow.

shopafrolic · 24/09/2013 22:09

Welcome Frankie
I'm a little terrified but it's making me grin so am about to Pin a pic onto our MNV to hopefully make you chuckle in a pleather tastic kind of way.......
