A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.

santamarianovella · 23/09/2013 22:16

shop your coat and the pink one are soldout everywhere,
mrssheep thats an amazing job!

MrsSheepiness · 23/09/2013 22:17

The beauty stuff is fab, I love all the niche brands they do alongside some of the more well known smaller brands Shop.

Yes it's the life of a SAHM for me, I never thought I would choose this path as I was 100% career focused but I don't regret my choice at all. I just wish that I had chosen a career that I could setup my own business in, that I could run alongside being a Mum when the girls get older but I wouldn't want to own my own shop as the level
of risk\commitment is too great.

It's odd isn't it Shop I never quite realised how much my career defined me or my style until it was gone!

shopafrolic · 23/09/2013 22:20

Wow! That could have been me saying that! Completely identify. Stick around, I'm slowly finding my new style with the help of this lovely lot.

Decameron · 23/09/2013 22:20

Mrssheep, please pass on that my 5yo is furious that I didn't buy her these pyjamas in time and now they are sold out in age 5-6!

Thanks, yes, I guess what's for you won't pass you buy and all that but there is not a lot on the market in Dublin. Gah.

QueenC, I used to go to a personal trainer the odd time, thought it was money well spent.

Night all!

MrsSheepiness · 23/09/2013 22:23

Dry I'm not sure you know, I think it's an urban myth type thing as you hear the same about many retailers. I've had some awful and truly random things happen on my watch but never that! We did have a stray cat that had it's kittens in the store, we gave her some gourmet cat food!!

westendgirl780 · 23/09/2013 22:23

Hello Vogue-ettes! Just quickly de-lurking to advise that if anyone else is eagerly awaiting the grazia whistles 25% code, it appears to be WH25AW13 and is working, I just successfully placed an order - took a guess at changing the SS from the march code and it worked!

MrsSheepiness · 23/09/2013 22:26

Keep looking Decam as I'm sure they'll come back into stock :)

shopafrolic · 23/09/2013 22:26

Ooo thanks Westendgirl

Well done westendgirl Smile

MrsSheepiness · 23/09/2013 23:02

Really tempted by these beauties the spending ban isn't going well! Thanks Westendgirl. Shop I can't see your scarf, is it just me or is Pinterest a bit temperamental when it comes to links?

shopafrolic · 23/09/2013 23:05

Not sure, seems to be working for me? Lovely flats.

justasecond · 23/09/2013 23:26

Hi all. I am not even going to attempt to keep up with everyone withmy dodgy keyboard Smile
sleep those j crew shoes are stunning and I wish I could walk in heels that high 7cm is my limit and even then I am teetering.
Mig I am sure that parka is from zara ss13 if not then they did a v similar one.
MrsSheepiness thats really interesting re M&S and they do seem to have got better this A/W although I am yet to buy anything from there other than school uniform, jeggings and food!
I like your m&s coat too shop DMBL40 has featured it on her blog today.
I am after an everyday bag probably in black. I am trying todecide between this or this I want it to be cross body.

mignonette · 24/09/2013 02:19

Linus Glad you liked the fabric. I love it too and have a Ralph Lauren gingko print skirt in red that I think is a rip off of the Marimekko print. I LOVE that nightdress- I have wanted a striped stretchy long one for ages and actually think they are quite sexy- they cling!

That's a lovely All Saints coat dry. Tempted.....As for the wet sheepskin, I wonder what sheep do Grin? I'll stay in my barn when it rains.

Just Thanks for the Zara heads u- will go hunting for that parka because I luffs it. That bag is a little Celine shaed and also reminds me of a McQueen bag from a while ago so the style will last and the price is much better too.

MrsSheep You must stay w/ us. Love those bronzey-gold umps. Very slick. I just spent £££ on M&S tights which stay up, don't make a grown woman look as if she is wearing a saggy nappy and wear well. I always buy loads of lain T shirts from there, A line midi skirts when I see them and lingerie. Mind you I skidded on the wet floor of M&S last week and nearly bashed my brains in on a display edging. More importantly, I got a black skid mark on my new Choos Sad. The cobbler got most of it out though bless him. My baby son used to be a fit and catalogue model for M&S. Used to go to Baker St every few weeks to try on all the samples as he was bang in the middle of average weight/size. They used to make such a fuss of him.

Shop That scarf is very Jackson Pollock from my limited art education- very versatile.

Am on call tonight hence the 02:19 posting.

LinusDKD · 24/09/2013 07:11

Morning!

MNV was so funny last night! marsha did you show DH the comments?

MrsS stick around, I'm also trying to find my style as a SAHM.

Today I am wearing a pair of cobalt Esprit skinny cords I bought last winter (3 weeks after giving birth to DD) and I still love them. I'm wearing them with a white Filippa K tee and my DKNY cozy (it's hard to know what wear when the seasons change so I'm playing it safe)

shopafrolic · 24/09/2013 07:17

Morning all. I need some assistance. My SIL is looking for a pale blue classic twinset (not my thing at all!), and can't find anything where she lives so has asked me to look online in the UK. Has anyone seen anything?

OP posts:
QueenCadbury · 24/09/2013 07:25

Phew, just trying to catch up during breakfast and am exhausted now! I purposely ignored you all last night as I have book club next week and haven't started either of my books yet. Went onto pin though and got sidetracked on there instead so still haven't done any reading Grin.

I ache a lot this morning. And I've booked my first PT session for lunchtime. I doubt I'll be able to walk tomorrow!

mrssheep I also never thought I'd leave nursing as I loved it but sometimes these things just become too difficult to juggle with kids. But as I predominantly wore a uniform 4 days a week I've had to find my way over the past couple of years style wise too.

marsha if they can't say anything nice why do they bother? Dh ouldn't say something like that and then justify it by saying at least he's being honest, I wouldn't want him to lie, blah, blah, blah.

Must go and get ready for school...

QueenCadbury · 24/09/2013 07:25

Stoopid iPad. Dh would say something like that.

Annianni · 24/09/2013 07:45

Lots of ash and just ballerina's on brand alley today.

Sleepwhenidie · 24/09/2013 08:09

Shop does SIL want cashmere? Pure or (better) Brora should fulfil the brief Smile. Or M&S?

Well done booking the PT session Queen, grin and bear the pain, it will pass and it means the exercise is working Grin.

DH is home with the shoes, they are gorgeous, also cost same in $ as £ online so about £80 cheaper, means we are all happy Smile.

Drywhiteplease · 24/09/2013 08:10

Shop Pure collection? Lands End apologies do twin sets in supina cotton. John Lewis? now don't be thinking I'm a twin set and pearls type though ..... hides pearls, removes little cardi

Can anyone give me styling ideas ( not psychedelic ) for my red Hobbs skirt. I need to get CPW down and have worn it only once with grey so far Sad

Drywhiteplease · 24/09/2013 08:12

And Marsha, told DH what your DH said.....his answer?
" that's the whole problem with fashion isn't it? it's all a matter of perception....and a load of crap too"..... He didn't get a big kiss this morning, twit! Grin

Annianni · 24/09/2013 08:14

What about navy Dry?

Sorry Shop but that is so far out of my comfort zone, I wouldn't have a clue.
