A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.

I LOVE those boots QueenC! If I wasn't saving up for a coat I would buy them as well. Such a great colour.

Oh and where did you get a talking Minion! DH would love one of those!

shopafrolic · 16/09/2013 15:37

Amazing Ash boots bargain QueenC - I think they took the Pistols out of the shoe offer. I should have got them when I first tried - the code worked on the first day - but not anymore :(

That is cute Turquoise totally not my colours but she looks great

OneLittleLady · 16/09/2013 15:45

That is a nice coat turquoise wouldn't work for me as I look hideous in pale pink but I like the shape of it, I'd be happy if I could find something like that but in a richer colour

Annianni · 16/09/2013 15:50

Love the pink coat from the frugalilty, it's fab.
I would look like a knob in a pale pink coat though.

I've just ordered this cardigan and this colour too to try.
I was debatibng the navy, but thought the purple could be nice with jeans for a/w.
The women's ones don't look slouchy enough for what i'm after, so i'll try the men's.

I had this lovely Jaeger peacoat pinned for ages, it was reduced to £90 ish... and now it's sold out
It's the wrong colour for me really, i'm far too messy for it to be clean for long.
Wish i'd tried it though!

QueenCadbury · 16/09/2013 16:24

Annianni · 16/09/2013 16:55

I know!!!
It was in the clearance section when it was really hot weather. I kept looking at it and thinking I'd order it soon.
But forgot... Sad

Topazandpearl · 16/09/2013 18:31

Hello everyone, am struggling to keep up as life is so busy at the moment. I wanted to update those that remember my search for a coat for DD. we finally got this Whistles parka. I would have liked her to get something even snugglier but she loves it so will wear it!
Well done Mig, great news!

LinusDKD · 16/09/2013 18:49

That Minion is brilliant! Definitely on my shopping list for DH!

bloomingheather · 16/09/2013 19:29

Ha ha! I love the Minion too! Think I might have to put that on the Christmas list for myself a wee person I know Smile
libertychick I have a very similar list regarding work bags and have actually been considering buying a backpack (just for work Blush)! my neck and shoulders get so sore with the weight of it. I met up with a friend (who has the same job so carries the same load of 'stuff' with her every day) for coffee on Friday and she had a leopard print Eastpak backpack that I really liked here. I'm hopefully getting a new bike as part of a Cycle to Work scheme soon and was thinking a backpack would be much more practical for the when I actually use it to cycle into work. I don't tend to put practicality at the top of the list but I'm so fed up lugging my current bag around and I can't exactly imagine cycling merryily into school with ten ton tessie (the bag) banging off my legs!
Thanks for the follow Decameron - the pink version of the dowry box is beautiful. I'm always looking for extra storage so will keep it in mind.

LinusDKD · 16/09/2013 19:46

I've just started following you too blooming!

bloomingheather · 16/09/2013 19:57

Thanks Linus! Are your Pinterest initials AB? So many lovely pins to look at. I've had a bit of a tough work day and this thread and the pins are really helping me to 'decompress' (as one of my teaching lecturers used to say)!

QueenCadbury · 16/09/2013 20:02

I'm following you too blooming. That's a nice rucksack. If you're cycling though you may want to think about a proper waterproof one. I bought dh one last Christmas and it was about £150 but holds his laptop and a folded shirt and is fine in all weathers. It was from wiggle.

BrandyAlexander · 16/09/2013 20:04

Evening all! It's been manic on here and Pinterest today!Grin Have read today's posts and now can't remember anything. I hope QueenC is feeling better and many congratulations to Mig. Fantastic news!

I am feeling chuffed with myself because actually managed to make it to the gym today. I get very committed as my annual medical approachesGrin

QueenCadbury · 16/09/2013 20:04

Oops, posted too soon. Just looking at the haul of stuff I managed to buy for the dc today. Obviously the minion is the best but the onesie and cute owl hat and gloves for dd are very cute. Maybe the minion could become the Mnv toy and we could all carry one to the meet up Grin

QueenCadbury · 16/09/2013 20:05

novice I'm feeling utter shite. Looking it too! Anyone know the best way to style a red snotty nose?

mignonette · 16/09/2013 20:07

Topaz Lovely choice for your DD. She'll look really cool in that.

I am looking for some lovely fluffy woolly beanie hats for my sons GF. She has the most exquisite strawberry blonde to red hair and a creamy/pin skin so thinking cream? Can anybody help? I have this lovely pin (that she likes too) here and despite the blonde hair, is kind of the vibe she is thinking of.

Liberty I saw this cape and thought of you. I have a tan leather Bill Amberg rucksack that you might like. The only issue I have w/ backpacks though is their lack of security on the tube and in crowds so I tend to wear it not on my back but slung off one shoulder.

Am adoring the Ganni coat from Atterley Road. So lovely.

mignonette · 16/09/2013 20:08

Queen a green colour corrective cream w/ tone down some of the red. Alongside loads of hot chocolate and chocolate of the solid type.

LinusDKD · 16/09/2013 20:09

blooming I am indeed AB on Pinterest.

this is for dry
