It's 115 days to Christmas Eve!

You can use this thread exactly like you were using the previous thread to keep track of what you're doing, have lists, ask advice etc. As its about renovation rather than strictly beauty, nothing is off limits so beauty, clothes, exercise, healthy eating.

So here we go!

Evening all Smile

JemimaP, no there's nothing in particular....just everyone else seems to be using stuff up & I'm not Confused

Helga neither of mine would take a dummy (apart from dd1 when in Neonatal...but not at home Confused ), they used to poke them out with their tongues & get grumpy if we tried to persist too Sad . I lugged dd2 round in a sling for months because it was the only way I could achieve anything; she's still very clingy even at nearly four years old!

Am showered, hair washed and conditioned - think dd1 may have been at my conditioner...it's empty & i only got it on saturday morning Hmm , exfoliated and moisturised (Superdrug Vitamin E, 'tis lush), hair blow dried and straightened. Control invest in some good heat defense spray for those ghd's! Nails are re-polished in pink....I couldn't have removed chipped ones without dissolving the rest so just re did the lot.

Just teeth before bed.

I'd head up now & make this my early night but dp is on afters & I don't sleep well when he isn't in, then feel worse the day after.

lucysmam · 25/09/2013 21:04

Almost forgot, I washed my make up brushes too Shock ....been a goooooood long while since I did that!!

vvviola · 25/09/2013 21:23

Helga - neither of mine took dummies either, despite a midwife in Holles Street lecturing me for 20 minutes on how I'd regret it if I didn't give one to DD1 (I think DD1 refused to suck anything that didn't result in food. DD2 was even fussier and for years ages if it wasn't a boob it wasn't acceptable)

Minimal tadas this morning because of early lecture. But I set out my clothes last night which helped.

ControlGeek · 25/09/2013 21:26

v quick update from me while DP naps before Big Bang Theory goes on. Hair done, make up done, earrings done (three times - wasn't happy with my first two choices matching my dress Confused) Teeth done and whitened and flossed and mouthwashed. I HAVE SHREDDED (again). I really don't know how many times you ladies expect me to shred each day, but I'm only up to doing it once so you'll have to share if you want it to count for you Grin

Not quite sure how this beauty malarky is supposed to work when I keep bursting into tears, but at least I start the day off right. Drunk loads of water, but am now on wine and the bottle will probably be empty before the night is through. Tis allowed though. The alcohol embargo doesn't start until Sunday.

JemimaPuddle · 25/09/2013 22:19

Oh no! What's up Control? I hope you're ok

lucysmam · 25/09/2013 22:23

you alright there Control? Smile

ControlGeek · 25/09/2013 23:01

Thanks jemimaP and lucysmam I'm fine, honestly, just really unexpected things set me off, like the Give Blood organisation ringing me up and telling me I'm eligible to give again, would I like to book and I have to tell them why I can't (failed IVF in June and another due for Jan/Feb). I'm ok when I know it's coming but sometimes things just catch you unawares.

justkeeponsmiling · 25/09/2013 23:47

Thanks control
Sending big hugs your way

HelgatheHairy · 26/09/2013 05:32

90 days to go

OP posts:
justkeeponsmiling · 26/09/2013 07:07

Good morning :)
Well I can barely move this morning thanks to the shred! I'm in agony all over! control how do you do it? I just can't see myself doing it ever again again today, even yawning hurts

ControlGeek · 26/09/2013 07:56

smiling that's what happened to me two weeks ago, because I 'gave it everything I've got' like she kept telling me. This time, I am holding back for the first few days - when it starts to hurt, I'm toning it down a bit - not raising the weights so high, not lunging so deep etc. I'm a bit achy now, and tonight will probably hurt if when I do it again, but in a day or two that should start to wear off as my body gets used to doing work again.

Ok, so dressed in brown pinstripe trousers, cream slash neck top, pearl necklace and studs. After two days of wearing necklaces I remember why I stopped. I have chipped a thumbnail and a first finger nail trying to put the ruddy things on. And today's necklace keeps slipping inside my slash neck so no-one will see it anyway! Hair, makeup, teeth done. About to have hot lemon water. Fasting day tomorrow because we're going to a beer festival on Saturday. So far, weight loss is looking good but no promises for how it will look on Sunday!

CatAmongThePigeons · 26/09/2013 08:24

I'm still scared of the shred, I may ask DH to buy it for my birthday along with some trainers so I can give it a go.

I walked up the big hill yesterday with the tank pram which I did surprisingly easily. My nails are badly chipped Blush I shall redo them when DS2 naps today.

I have a full face on, hair straightened-ish as they keep cutting out.

I'm wearing: black faux wrap top, nude vest, black midi skirt, nude/pink pumps and a grey/pastel pink scarf.

I need to up my water intake today as my eye bags are bigger than suitcases

vvviola · 26/09/2013 09:05

I am in denial of the existence of the shred WinkGrin

About to settle down for an evening of study. Have bought rice cakes for when the munchies hit. Was tempted to put a face mask on but thought I might forget it. A "foot mask" would be an interesting idea though and would keep me sitting at my desk if I couldn't get up and potter about

lucysmam · 26/09/2013 09:06

Morning everyone Smile

Thanks Control I have super emotional days too....the randomest things set me off then!

Morning routine all done, remembered to floss and to put earrings in. Control was it you who bought the earring book thing?...does it fit danglys in?

Dp off to work shortly so plan to continue princessing the house & clean the hall/stairs since I didn't get round to it yesterday.

I have to say, OMG my nails are luminous pink Confused Shock ....they didn't look this colour by lamp light last night Hmm but.....I'm quite impressed with Primark nail polish so far. No sheet marks, no random marks on them at all (unusual for me with painted nails). Might get some more in a couple of weeks

I completely forgot all about my top lip, camomile tea bags for my eyes and pore strip for my nose so am going to have a mini-facial sort of thing tonight to sort those out.

ELR · 26/09/2013 10:47

Morning all checking back in, not posted for over a week but been keeping up with routine apart from last few days as have been feeling unwell!
I wouldn't recommend feeling like shit and looking like shit they are not a good combo at least if you make the effort to look good even if you feel bad people still think you look good! If that makes sense?
Anyway not dressed yet but am about to go and shower and put makeup on in an effort to at least look good!

HelgatheHairy · 26/09/2013 12:58

Well that was embarrassing! Was having a quite day at home, not planning on seeing anyone so put on nice comfy PJ bottoms this morning.

First to call was a neighbour, then my dad who was with someone else so I had to go show the baby off, then neighbours husband with a friend of his. (I live on a farm, and they were all there testing the cattle so they all called within a few mins of each other)

So lots of people saw me in pj bottoms.

OP posts:
ELR · 26/09/2013 13:03

Ha ha helga that is why we should always be in full make up, well dressed and accessorised to the hilt!

ELR · 26/09/2013 13:04

If someone came to the door now I would die! Got wet hair and got cold so no makeup and a red nose!

HelgatheHairy · 26/09/2013 13:17

It's the first day I haven't been presentable! PILs are calling later so was going to change then. Oh well, it could have been worse, I was wearing a vest top and cardi this morning till I realised my bra was on show and I changed!

OP posts:
lucysmam · 26/09/2013 13:43

helga that many visitors is the sort of thing that happens to me when I decide to have a pj day!

Hall and stairs are cleaned thoroughly, only a small area though Confused Will make a start in living room tomorrow I think then start on the rooms that more closely resemble bomb sites Hmm

Just caught sight of my eyebrows in the bathroom mirror....I'd go and get them threaded in the morning but dd2 doesn't go to nursery on Fridays so will have to wait until Monday...they look a tad unruly now

HelgatheHairy · 26/09/2013 13:58

And now the postman!

OP posts:
lucysmam · 26/09/2013 14:04

Grin Would calling them lounge pants instead of pj's help?

HelgatheHairy · 26/09/2013 14:56

Not really - they're very traditional plaid pj pants!! And they're about 2 sizes too big so really baggy!

OP posts:
petalsandstars · 26/09/2013 20:40

Helga I have been there too. I have more than once answered the door to the postman with questionable pj bottoms and a baby attached to a boob as well! Also to the jehovas witnesses too which was fun.

I'm on a budget too, working through body lotions from gift sets and have asked for some new tweezers or pampering goodies for my birthday from my mum. Saving up my 'personal spends' for a shopping trip when the baby weight disappears as until I'm back at work money is tight.

Didn't manage the shred yesterday as baby appears to be having a growth spurt and after DH having to work late the choice was shred or dinner at 8.30 and dinner won. Have done better today, shredded this morning and managed to get my wedding ring back on again.

Black trousers and tunic top today, will redo nails before tomorrow night as I'm going out for a drink for the first time since baby arrived! Grin

lucysmam · 26/09/2013 21:45

Well, I just had to give myself a proper kick up the bum to get up and sort my mop out! Have a banging headache tonight Sad It did get an extra Aussie treat though since I have no conditioner left so it smells lush Grin

I just have my teeth left to do tonight before bed. Got an ulcer on the end of my tongue that hurts though Sad

There's a MacMillan coffee morning at school tomorrow so I'd got my leopard print floaty top, new skinnies and boots out.....dd1 came home with diarrhoea again so we'll not be going.

I think I'm going to order the L'Oreal lash serum, most of the reviews on Amazon are good & I can't afford Revitalash Confused ....unless anyone here has a better suggestion?

Control it was me who asked about the earring book....ty for the pics ....how many pairs does it hold?

Helga, they sound unmistakeably like pj's Grin never mind, unexpected visitors have to take you as they find you! (be thankful you weren't wearing a mud mask or something like that) Smile

Right, off to find some painkillers....I have a feeling they are in dp's work bag though.
