I am getting my hair cut tommorrow, and am losing the plot.

it is long atm. It is brown. It is kind of wavy in a bad way.

It is so thick and wiry you could...oh I don't know, do something deeply funny with it.

I have an oval face, a huge nose, and seem to develop a centre parting despite all odds.

It needs to be absolutely zero maintance. Nowt. Medium length good. No super short styles, they require extensive make up or else geography teacher fleeces IMO.

Can someone just please tell me how to cut it? Please? Someone must know about these things.

Well, I'm right, aren't I?

FJ I think you need a hair therapist, not a hairdresser.

SleepyJess · 12/06/2006 21:57

Like what?

You need Ellbell... she battles with her hair (it's very thick.. whilst it's owner is anything but!).. and has it cut into styles that always look very nice

robinpud · 12/06/2006 21:59

not that high maintencace- try this \link{http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/medium3.shtml\easy} or \link{http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/celebrity_hairstyle.shtml\ a little more tousled!!}

SleepyJess · 12/06/2006 22:00

FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 22:01

now would that first one work for dryly luxuriant hair?

and would i need these fabled ghds?

(its just i could probably buy flares with the money...)

OP posts:
robinpud · 12/06/2006 22:07

Yup would def work for luxuriant hair. Have you not got a friend prepared to straighten your hair for you so you can see the difference? Thne choose a style. there must be a mnetter with irons somewhre handy?

FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 22:10

ooooh I do like it...\link{http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/medium3.shtml\this one}...whats it called? Does it have a technical name?

OP posts:
FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 22:11

could I wear a bobby pin with it, do you reckon?

OP posts:
southeastastra · 12/06/2006 22:12

just get long layers, they make a big difference, hair straighteners are a pita! anyway straight hair not in this year

robinpud · 12/06/2006 22:14

bobby pin, krkby grip or rollers and a net would also be fine.

BTW have you scrolled down the page and seen the adverts. Second on in from the left....

notanotter · 12/06/2006 22:14

\link{http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/sh21.shtml\having mine like this tomorrow}

FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 22:15

I don't have wrinkles!

OP posts:
notanotter · 12/06/2006 22:16

\link{http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/sh7.shtml\ooh no maybe i will go for ....}

robinpud · 12/06/2006 22:16

Perhaps one of the adverts at the bottom would be good for cod..

FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 22:17

see, my hair isn't exactly wavy. its just not exactly completely straight.

Actually, thinkning about it, it is if I brush it properly Blush.

OP posts:
notanotter · 12/06/2006 22:18

\link{http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/sh4.shtml\what do you think of this (for real!)}

FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 22:19

Back to \link{http://hairstyles.free-beauty-tips.com/medium3.shtml\this} which I think is the front runner.

  1. WHAT IS IT CALLED? (long layered bob? Season 4 Willow from Buffy look? Come on, people without blue hair...)
  1. Will it look like shit without these ghds?
OP posts:
notanotter · 12/06/2006 22:20

dont you prefer my shorter version of it?

FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 22:20

i think that would require quite a lot of maintenance, otter.

your name freaks me out, btw, i can't work out what to call you.

OP posts:
robinpud · 12/06/2006 22:22

Notanotter- love it
Filly- think this is a sort of graduated bob. You need an expert tho'. I think if you blow dry and BRUSH yours it should be fine withut the ghds. I don't have supersleek hair I just have defrizzed hair iyswim
