So I've discovered her blog thanks to you lovely ladies, however I have hit a wall. Its here if you are interested. The products she recommends are soooo expensive, but I like the logic of her method.

She says you should think about how much you spend on a handbag and shoes and that is wear we hit a stumbling block. In the past year I've bought one pair of shoes for £20 in the Banana Republuc sale combined with a voucher!

So fans of her double cleanse, double tone, moisturise method, what products do you use? The more purse friendly the better. I'm finding she recommends lots of cleansers, a few key toners but I'm really stuck on moisturisers and ingredients to look for.

Those Bravura skin peel things are really cheap bearing in mind the supposed results - are they dangerous though?

JedwardScissorhands · 08/08/2013 15:55

Which cleanser is meant to be first? Is it balm to take make up off then non-foaming milk cleanse? Or the other way around?

GreenSkittles · 08/08/2013 15:58

She does balm first, milk after www.beautymouth.com/2013/06/routines-cheat-sheet.html

JedwardScissorhands · 08/08/2013 16:03

Thank you. I am a skin flint cautious about what I use, so am going to try coconut oil as my balm get some magazine samples.

Arisbottle · 08/08/2013 16:03

I do oil first and then my Liz Earle, I know she is not a fan of Liz Earle.

I then spray with Liz Earle toner, use my eye cream. Currently using a Clinique one but I will try another one after. I then use Liz Earle super skin facial oil and moisturiser.

daylily · 08/08/2013 17:26

Thanks for the info Green and Nigella. I'll have a good read of the blog soon.

womma · 08/08/2013 18:21

Oh flipping typical, sorry everyone who bought before offer came up!

Arisbottle, I've got that Superfacialist oil cleanser, it's made a big difference to my skin, I love it. I'm really keen to try other things from the range, and I see the Neroli serum and eye cream both have hydra-thingummy acid in, so I'm swiping those next time I'm in Boots.

I'm so pleased I've found this thread, I'm 43 and I found out I'm pregnant today. At least I can look after my face, because hope is lost for me from the neck down! See you all in Boots!

Arisbottle · 08/08/2013 18:23

I found out I was pregnant the other day and am a similar age.

womma · 08/08/2013 18:28

Hurray for us!!! Congrats to you Arisbottle!

Arisbottle · 08/08/2013 18:55

It will be baby number five, hence the focus on my face. Grin

womma · 08/08/2013 19:19

Oh lovely! Yes, I'm hoping the same, if my face looks okay I can deal with the rest.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 08/08/2013 21:46

Sorry for the delay PomBear as another poster mentioned, I bought mine over the phone from the London store. I'm surprised they don't put it on the website as it seems popular.

GreenSkittles · 08/08/2013 22:19

I have tried to order Pixi Glow Tonic twice but they're always out of stock! If it's so popular they could make more of an effort to get stock out!

This one www.pamperedprince.co.uk/2013/06/bravura-london-toner-pixi-glow-tonic.html is supposed to be a near identical dupe (and cheaper.) The blogger has both lists of ingredients and they do look practically the same.

Has anyone tried any of the Bravura stuff? I've never heard of it.

NigellasGuest · 09/08/2013 09:37

I would also like to hear from anyone who has tried Bravura.
I've never used an acid peel - I know there have been loads of threads on them on here.

KosherBacon · 09/08/2013 09:40

Arisbottle and Womma- congratulations to you both.

I had a quick search on makeupalley at the Baruva stuff. There's no reviews but people have mentioned them favourably on the forums, although point out that the peels don't come with a buffer so you need to make one (not sure how) to stop the peel working when you've finished with it.

I've tried bravura peels but I have to say I prefer their dermaflannel for exfoliation , started a thread a while ago here

I also use thier glycolic gel and hyaluroniic serum. They are very helpful if you email them.

GreenSkittles · 09/08/2013 12:39

I've placed an order with Bravura this morning.

They have an offer for a free Dermaflannel with the Hyaluronic acid serum www.bravuralondon.com/hyaluronic-acid-serum50ml.html

Plus if you buy three cleansers or toners you get 60% off the cheapest one.

And on the home page if you subscribe to their newsletter you get an email with 10% off your first order.

womma · 09/08/2013 16:36

Aah, thanks Kosher.

I'm going to give the Bravura toner a whirl, it's a veritable bargain compared to Clarins.

I've been using a Ren face mask, the Glycolic Renewal mask for a little while, and I've been amazed at how good it's made my skin look. I heartily recommend it to anyone wanting a good at home skin treatment.

KosherBacon · 12/08/2013 11:38

Has anybody tried the eysilix eye cream? I don't use any eye cream but could do with starting to use one. Caroline Hirons really rates it but I wanted other opinions. It's £16.66 in Boots at the moment and to be honest I'm not sure if I will be able to find any better at that price point.

NigellasGuest · 12/08/2013 16:01

I really like it, Kosher. You only need a tiny amount and it will last for ages. I can't really say whether it has made any difference at all (I know CH says it actually gets rid of undereye darkness for her) but compared with others, including some more expensive ones, I find that it is at least as good.

MooMinCow · 12/08/2013 17:35

I bought some last week Kosher and I've noticed a difference (particularly first thing in the morning). My under eye circles seem lighter (and I have horrid pigmented dark circles).

I've been doing the double cleanse, double tone, hydraluron thing for 10 days now and my skin does look clear and smooth, but it does feel a bit drier and tighter than normal - anyone else experience this? I'm trying to figure out whether its the Pixi Glow tonic or Hydraluron causing it. I'm now only using the Glow tonic at night and Hydraluron in the morning to see if that helps.
