If you want exfoliation..better than a peel imo get a dermaflannel!

Amazing , i've been using glycolic home peel occassionally and glycolic serum but this , used once has really made a difference!

I used it last night and this am i have a few teeny whiteheads between my brows that have obviously been lurking under the skin .

I got it for blackheads and blocked pores and you're meant to use it nightly for that, says it takes a few times to really see the difference.

Thought I'd share my new wonder flannel, looks like a normal flannel but when you use it it feels very different.

here

valiumredhead Sat 02-Mar-13 13:37:27

Can you not lance the whiteheads with a sterilised needle and a hot flannel? grin

I might get one for ds actually as he's getting all hormonal.

buttercrumble Sat 02-Mar-13 13:40:41

Sounds really good. where can you buy from and how much......

EmpressMaud Sat 02-Mar-13 13:48:35

Ooh, from Bravura too.
I'm tempted to have a try, as I've fallen out of the habit of the GA peels recently.

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 13:49:11

no these were not whiteheads but bumps under the skin
impossible to squeeze ..i tried

from the link in my OP..did it work?

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 13:50:04

the reviews are very good

MrsMeow Sat 02-Mar-13 14:07:27

Ooh thanks v much, I've actually been googling for info on peels this morning but have been quite put off by some of the 'after' pics!

Does it not do just the same as a muslin or similar would do?

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 14:09:37

much better than a muslin or flannel ,both of which i use regularly to wash my face
the feeling of it on your skin is very different, it comes with directions and warnings not to be too vigorous
my skin was very shiny last night
and slightly peeling in some areas this am

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 14:11:26

on the blurb about it don't forget to click on the words 'learn more' at the end
very easy to miss and ther's loads of info there

MrsMeow Sat 02-Mar-13 14:22:13

Thanks ggirl, very tempted!

OddBoots Sat 02-Mar-13 14:50:28

Thank you, I've ordered one. I look forward to seeing the results. smile

spanishring Sat 02-Mar-13 16:04:54

I want one! Do you think it's the same as the microfibre cleansing cloths you get in the pound shop?!

cerealqueen Sat 02-Mar-13 16:36:24

I bought a cheap version off Ebay and was not that impressed, this has good reviews!

perplexedpirate Sat 02-Mar-13 16:48:53

Every time I click on S&B I end up buying something.
Every. Time. hmm

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 17:07:17

god i feel a responsibilty now..hope you all like it
spanishring feels different to the normal microfibre stuff , alhtough I have only ever rubbed my face with a dry microfibre towel
have a go with a pound shop one and see
this one is quite strange feeling and makes your skin red initially

duende Sat 02-Mar-13 17:15:41

Thanks ggirl , I've ordered one. I used bravura's glicolic acid before and was pleased with the results. I'm now pregnant and my skin is absolutely horrendous with bad acne and there is very little I can use. I have high hopes for this!

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 17:20:07

your welcome , hope it helps

spanishring Sat 02-Mar-13 18:59:16

No way ggirl, I want the expensive one! I bought a more expensive microbiotic or something cloth from waitrose and it is Infinitely better than the pound shop cheapy ones so there you go. I will let you know how I get on!

Charliefox Sat 02-Mar-13 19:05:55

Companies must wonder why they suddenly get a rush of orders on a product!

knitknack Sat 02-Mar-13 19:24:10

Baa baa

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 20:39:05

Charliefox I know , maybe I should email them and ask for a discount grin

JumpHerWho Sat 02-Mar-13 20:39:39

Baaaa

How coincidental, I ordered one on Thursday and it arrived today smile
I'm a bit scared of it tbh, do you just use it with your normal face wash?

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 21:01:04

I washed my face first then used it , the instructions are quite good.

Haven't opened it properly yet to have a good nosy.
Will find out in a bit when I go to wash my face, also bought a glycolic face wash, toner, night treatment and the chem peel.

ElvisIsKing Sat 02-Mar-13 21:07:36

Looks good, thanks for the link. How do you clean yours? They suggest medicated wash, what is that?!

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 21:09:16

They say you can't use the dermaflannel as well as a peel. I bought the salicylic acid to use on my t-zone but now wish I had just stuck with the dermflannel.

I do want to get a moisturiser from them though, currently using the hyaluranic serum which is fab but need a moisturiser as well I think.

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 21:10:26

For cleasning I use liz earle or no7 equivalent or plain olive oil and muslin.

ElvisIsKing Sat 02-Mar-13 21:11:53

Sorry I meant how do you clean the flannel grin

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 21:14:24

so far have only rinsed it out ,will wash in a few days i guess

ggirl Sat 02-Mar-13 21:14:59

on normal wash

GeordieCherry Sat 02-Mar-13 21:19:17

Duende, you should be able to get a microdermabrasion. I have & I usually get peels. Transform won't touch you if pg or breast feeding but I've been able to get microdermabrasion after first 12 weeks
Defo getting this flannel though!

HollaAtMeBaby Sat 02-Mar-13 21:22:44

Added to my enormous wishlist - thanks! thanks

duende Sat 02-Mar-13 21:24:52

gordie i don't think I should have microdermabrasion as I have a tendency to broken capillaries hmm

GeordieCherry Sat 02-Mar-13 21:32:33

Ah ok, maybe try this cloth then. I know I will smile

I've just ordered one. I've also bought 3 x diamond microdermabrasion treatments from Wowcher. My skin is terrible at the moment. My spots have turned this evening into an expensive night in!

OMG washed face with the glycolic wash gel, then used the dermaflannel this morning, face was a bit pink but smooth, smooth, smooth.

Washed again with the gel tonight and then used the 15% night treatment cream.
I swear my skin has never been so smooth, I look like I have makeup on its so even looking.
Used also on a patch of sun damage on my chest and its really faded and smooth.

Did I mention the smoothness?

sh77 Mon 04-Mar-13 12:10:56

Sold out. Has anyone else used it? Too scared to use chemicals and so the flannel sounds great.

MoodyDidIt Mon 04-Mar-13 18:28:34

omg this sounds amazing, i am going to give it a try

gracelesslady Mon 04-Mar-13 19:03:22

I've bought one! Can't wait for it to come. Thanks ggirl thanks

stopbeingsilly Mon 04-Mar-13 19:13:15

Sold out at the link upthread! And google/amazon/eBay isn't showing many results. Anyone know where I can get one?

(Baaaaaa.)

perplexedpirate Mon 04-Mar-13 19:17:06

Eeee! I can't wait for mine to arrive!
Sold out everywhere, the power of mumsnet, eh?
We're like Delia Smith (not really).

ggirl Mon 04-Mar-13 19:37:01

I emailed bravura re.this thread and apparently they are upgrading the flannel , which will improve it, should be available in a month.

sh77 Mon 04-Mar-13 20:32:10

Yep, said it would be more abrasive and look nicer.
Ggirl - is it harsh with the glycolic facewash?

ggirl Mon 04-Mar-13 20:38:55

I haven't used it with anything but water ,the instructions say don't use when using a peel. It may be worth emailing them for advice .

ggirl Tue 05-Mar-13 17:08:38

Exciting news girls , Amanda from Bravura emailed me to say they will have stock of mint green ones by thursday if anyone wants one before the new ones arrive at the end of the month...and woop woop I get a free one!!

duende Tue 05-Mar-13 17:56:54

Good on you ggirl, I love MNs marketing and buying power smile

ggirl Tue 05-Mar-13 18:53:08

It's bloody brilliant isn't it!!

ggirl Tue 05-Mar-13 18:55:21

btw the clogged up area between my brows is exfoliating nicely ,finally despite numerous glycolic peels

FellNel Tue 05-Mar-13 18:57:58

They look fab. Out of stock at the moment though.

OddBoots Wed 06-Mar-13 10:43:30

Mine arrived today, I have just used it. I was very gentle but it seems to have done a good job, especially on my nose which has some larger pores.

JumpHerWho Wed 06-Mar-13 13:11:58

Whee thank you ggirl! I've been meaning to get some peely products, would you recommend I go straight for this? Generally congested, combo skin.

Charliefox Wed 06-Mar-13 18:39:01

I too got mine today and used it tonight! Felt like nothing and I was scrubbing away thinking, load of old parp this thing, just like any other flannel, waste of money, bah humbug. Anyways, suffice to say, it's now an hour later and I feel like I've had a microdermabrasion! Feel a bit 'sunburnt' almost. Will report back in a week when I have the skin of a 21 yr old supermodel

knitknack Wed 06-Mar-13 18:54:56

Got mine today too - face is satisfyingly pink, have applied my la Roche effaclar... Better skin here I come! Now, someone explain to me how it works!! It didn't feel too different to my usual flannel/muslin cloth!

Okay, I may have been a bit too vigorous with the old dermaflannel.
Or perhaps shouldn't have used the wash prior or cream afterwards?

Now my skin looks good and very clear but has a fine sandpaper texture when I run my hand over it. It really doesn't look rough but feels it. Very odd.

So go extremely gently when you get yours ladies, it's obviously more powerful than it looks.

Now, I originally bought the products I mentioned upthread for DH, his skin was awful, dry, flaky bits, huge congestion on his forehead and cheeks, raised, red and really angry looking.

He'd been to the GP about it a few times and nothing they prescribed worked.

He started on the bravura products on Saturday, today his skin is CLEAR and SMOOTH shock I so wish I had taken before and after photos as the difference is amazing.
I may not need to use the chemical peel on him after all.

tharsheblows Wed 06-Mar-13 20:37:51

How does it compare to a Clarisonic face thing? It sounds like it's something completely different - more like a treatment? I desperately want one although what I really want is one of those peels where you can't leave the house for days because your face is flaking off and then you have gorgeous new skin. Oh, and a facelift while I'm at it, I suppose. grin

Charliefox Wed 06-Mar-13 20:44:11

Totally different to a clarisonic. The clari gives you just a really good soapy clean of your skin. Based on the way I'm feeling 2 hour after using the dermaflannel for the first time, I feel like I've sandblasted several layers of skin off my face!

I too would love a 'face fall off' peel - lock self away for a week and emerge with a peachy visage!

Charliefox Wed 06-Mar-13 20:47:54

And seriously, what the heck IS the flannel made of? It feels so soft and looks so innocent!

Gigondas Wed 06-Mar-13 20:48:30

It's amazing- and I agree , you wouldn't know it wasn't an ordinary flannel.

ggirl Thu 07-Mar-13 17:37:05

It's fab isn't it..sort of sneaks up on you, agree don't rub too hard in areas that are smooth and healthy already.

I have been concentrating on the cloggy area between my brows and my nose.

My nose is mirror shiny when I have finished and a few spots have surfaced..all good cos it's clearing out the muck.

God knows why it works though?!

TerraNotsoFirma think you may have overdone it by using all the glycolic stuff as well.

JumpHerWho yes I would recommend it , give it a go.

Charliefox Thu 07-Mar-13 19:45:21

Well I've broke out in a load of sore, itchy spots on my chin today :-(

ggirl Thu 07-Mar-13 20:03:11

better out than in they say grin

it'll be like a new baby chin soon

gracelesslady Thu 07-Mar-13 20:20:39

Mine has arrived!!! Don't know whether to try it tonight or wait till tomorrow when I'm off work? Wotcha reckon?

<tempted>

ggirl Thu 07-Mar-13 21:47:32

gracelesslady I've had no bad reaction at all , just don't scrub away madly

tharsheblows Fri 08-Mar-13 10:30:11

Thanks Charliefox! Good to know I can use both. I love me a good gadget.

I've ordered one and the 10% glycolic acid moisturiser. Now I'm completely impatient waiting for it to come.

valiumredhead Fri 08-Mar-13 10:36:26

Convince me that it's worth the money, that is an awful lot for a glorified flannel!

Glimpers Fri 08-Mar-13 10:56:47

I got mine yesterday after being convinced to buy one after reading this thread and used it last night. It is amazing! My skin feels really smooth and it looks like it's got a glow, which I haven't had for years.
Trust me, it's not just a flannel, it's a small miracle if my skin is anything to go by today.

valiumredhead Fri 08-Mar-13 10:58:45

What's it made of? I bought something similar from QVC which was shite. I like the sound of it and I have some bumps that need smoothing grin

Glimpers Fri 08-Mar-13 11:16:21

Apparently it's microfibre, but I think it's actually unicorn hair as it's that miraculous grin

lemonmuffin Fri 08-Mar-13 12:00:59

Ooh I need to try this. will request one for Mother's day present!

sh77 Fri 08-Mar-13 13:10:52

Just received mine! Looks utterly shite but judging from the reviews on here, a wonder product.

Charliefox Fri 08-Mar-13 13:20:14

It does look shite. Like a piece of dimpled kitchen roll. I have spots all over my chin and a sandpaper-like rash after using it. Happy days.

dollyxdaydreamer Fri 08-Mar-13 13:24:44

I've got one if these but don't recognise these miracles of which you all speak. I've only used it once though, but my skin is no smoother than after using my ordinary cheapo flannel.

Am I doing it wrong?

I used mine for the first time last night. My DH was gobsmacked that I'd paid £11 for what looks like a shite piece of old rag.

I was pretty gentle with it after reading some of the experiences on here. I had a wash as normal then dampened the flannel and rubbed my face with it for no more than a few seconds.

I have to say my chin which is usually extremely spotty while also being very dry (from using Duac cream on it) looks a lot smoother this morning and I don't know if I imagined it but my foundation seemed to go on a lot nicer this morning.

Will report again in a few days! grin

sh77 Fri 08-Mar-13 14:05:13

Loving the reviews. Mostly positive.

Is the glycolic mousturiser exfoliating? What is the point if it?

JohnSnowsTie Fri 08-Mar-13 15:03:36

Another purchase made.

Thaaaaaaaaanks <sheep voice grin>

SpeccyBat Sun 10-Mar-13 01:03:02

Me too!
I have such spotty skin, not acne, but spotty on t-zone and now on my ageing and wrinkly neck <wails>
I use roche possay fash wash for greasy skin - which is good at controlling it, but not well enough. Do I wash still with this?

nowrinklesonamelon Sun 10-Mar-13 08:20:26

So - - on MN advice I spent a ridiculous amount on a bit of dimpled mint green cloth - - have used it three times now and there is a big difference ! my skin feels clean and glowing - especially on the neck and chest which were getting a bit -- well -- crepey - - old if I'm honest -
rest of body to be done now . . .I may need another one . . . . . . . .

ggirl Sun 10-Mar-13 09:30:53

speccybat-you carry on cleaning your skin in your normal way ,the cloth is for exfoliation after cleaning

dolly- don't know ,maybe just scrub a bit harder, or your skin is not in need of exfoliation??

MrsKoala Sun 10-Mar-13 10:19:37

i've ordered mine. i shall report back. baaaa

(this is why i only come onto s&b when i have cash...then it quickly goes!)

Charliefox Sun 10-Mar-13 11:20:17

My chin is now bright red and covered in a peeling rash. Tres attractive. Will keep going but I feel like I've got 2nd degree burns on my face.

tharsheblows Sun 10-Mar-13 12:27:18

Oh no Charliefox! Did you scrub really hard? I tried mine last night and except for an extra spot or two where there were some coming out anyway* it's fine.

I also got the 10% glycolic acid moisturiser which burns, baby, burns. I love it.

*why do I get spots every time I get my lip threaded or waxed? How can I avoid them? Should I start a new thread on this or does someone here know?

gracelesslady Sun 10-Mar-13 12:57:41

So.... I've tried it twice (day, maybe two between scrubbings) and like dolly my skin feels pretty normal. Like how it was before. Some spotty bits, some flaky bits. Not terrible but def not brilliant. Do I need to be more vigorous??? Was a bit afraid of looking bright red...

gracelesslady Sun 10-Mar-13 12:59:42

Tharsheblows, I think good exfoliation before you wax, and then try some Tend Skin (no idea how to link to it but you can get it from amazon) immediately afterwards. Tis amazing stuff. And sudocrem on existing spots. HTH xx

ToothGah Sun 10-Mar-13 14:04:04

Got inspired reading this thread and thought "aha, I have some microfibre cloths in the cupboard, I wonder...."

I used the yellow one from this pack that actually came from Poundland!

My skin is fantastic, really smooth, I don't know why I haven't thought of this before.

Can't believe it, all for a 33p cloth. Will be using it from now on.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else has some of these in the cupboard and could compare it with the dermaflannel?

sarahandduck Sun 10-Mar-13 14:56:19

I have one of these and I used it on my dry, scaly knees. No amount of body scrubs, etc would remove the dry skin, but what do you know...just once with this flannel and they are so smooth. I am def going to get another..one for face, another for body. This is my best buy of the year so far. Thanks for the recommendation.

SpeccyBat Sun 10-Mar-13 20:19:43

Anyone else with more to report? Mine not arrived yet and I'm a tad nervous gotto admit.

Desperate though cos skin is in need of help. Got an attractive cluster
Of spots on neck/jawline that need tackling.

valiumredhead Mon 11-Mar-13 10:05:09

tooth my QVC ones were just microfibre too - they worked but weren't cottton and washed really badly. Will try a cotton one and see if it works.

Charliefox Tue 12-Mar-13 20:18:31

I'm still persevering. I'm still breaking out in spotty, rashy skin. And Im still hoping for a miracle!

ggirl Tue 12-Mar-13 21:24:24

I rubbed the corners of my mouth to buggery , have a raw spot there now..v attractive.
I think it takes a while for the spots to crop and then be harvested to end up with lovely smooth spot-free skin.

I have given my skin a rest now for a few days.

babybarrister Tue 12-Mar-13 22:10:21

I have just ordered one too. I also ordered some of the lactic and glycolic peels - anyone have any experience of them?

ggirl Tue 12-Mar-13 22:50:06

thread herre from a while ago about the glycolic peel
it's long !!

LovingTheSunshine Wed 13-Mar-13 10:17:03

I have sensitive skin that is prone to excema - will the cloth book if used VERY gently?

LovingTheSunshine Wed 13-Mar-13 10:18:16

*will the cloth be ok if used VERY gently?

lurkingfromhome Wed 13-Mar-13 16:58:33

Mine arrived today! Would I sound very sad if I told you I am actually very excited about washing my face tonight (with what looks like a mint-green piece of boiled rag)? grin

ThePathanKhansAmnesiac Wed 13-Mar-13 17:18:16

I gonna have to get one.

anneriordan Wed 13-Mar-13 17:36:35

hmm, so how often do you use it? Intrigued but wary because the website says "use sunscreen/avoid sun *while using*" and I am very pale and careful scared of the sun, using ultrasun factor 30 all year round and the clarins stuff on my eyes yes I do take Vit D supplements don't worry. Maybe this could be a once a month thing? Don't have problem skin but it could be clearer/brighter (or twenty years younger, bah)
First time trying the fancy text adjustments in the "emphasis" list so sorry if this just comes out like one of the cats walked across my keyboard

Charliefox Wed 13-Mar-13 19:05:06

Ok, so my skin is getting better. The peeling and flakiness is gradually going. Have used it every other day and I actually do think my skin is looking brighter and more glowy! Yey for me. Result!

ggirl Wed 13-Mar-13 19:15:35

not sure about using it on eczema..maybe email them to ask ,i should imagine very gently it'll be fine

i def use sunscreen now

i was using it everyday for a week or so but now and prob doing it less so

babybarrister Wed 13-Mar-13 19:55:56

Thanks but cannot bring myself to read 40 pages of a threadgringrin I have bought lactic acid to start and then will move on to glycol acid

tharsheblows Wed 13-Mar-13 22:37:31

Thank you gracelesslady! I had been exfoliating after - it never occurred to me to do it before. I'll get Tend Skin, too. I got threaded the other day and the woman pretty properly told me off for waxing - said it'd give me lines and was bad for my skin! Not sure...

Anyway, been using the rather itchy painful 10% glycolic moisturising cream and using the flannel a bit cautiously. Not sure if I look better but I like doing it! Glad you're coming through it Charliefox.

LovingTheSunshine Thu 14-Mar-13 14:16:10

Thanks. Have ordered one anyway as want to use it on my less sensitive body smile

Levantine Thu 14-Mar-13 19:45:05

I've been using mine for a week now. My skin looks much healthier. Can't reallyil understand why but it works

ToothGah Thu 14-Mar-13 20:22:39

My 33p dimply microfibre cloth is also working grin

My mum was amazed by my skin and kept asking me what I'd done different my SD said I looked like "the Pears soap girl" smile

Bought another pack of the cloths from The Range today smile

MrsKoala Thu 14-Mar-13 20:27:35

mine arrived 3 days ago. my skin is pinker and a lot of little spots have come to the surface. the blackheads on my nose are clearer but i still have open pores. i will persevere as i think it's just clearing the skin of deep dirt.

ggirl Thu 14-Mar-13 20:54:07

we're all ignoring you and your cheap cloth ToothGah wink...dammit!

ToothGah Thu 14-Mar-13 21:16:31

If the dermaflannel is better I'm willing to fork out for it, but really happy for now with the cheap version grin

I've found by googling that a lot of people with acne swear by microfibre cloths, also good for people doing OCM, so I'm not sure if the type makes much difference.

onamissiontomakeithappen Fri 15-Mar-13 06:43:02

This hasn't made any difference to my skin sad

PipsWife Fri 15-Mar-13 08:46:14

Just ordered mine after years of open pores and shiny skin - fingers crossed!

Thanks

lurkingfromhome Fri 15-Mar-13 09:12:56

Have used mine twice now and it is indeed a miracle! Had a cluster of spots sitting under my skin that had been there for a couple of weeks not budging and today they feel so much better Skin definitely smoother and less blotchy, although I think I was a bit too enthusiastic with it as I have a dry patch on my chin and another under my eye - it feels just like a soft flannel so I think it's easy to scrub too hard.

My plan is to use it lightly every night but twice a week use it less cautiously and give my face a bit more of a peel effect. Have also just bought a few La Roche Posay products (also recommended here and about half the price of the MD Formulations stuff I currently use...) so will give them a go too.

Charliefox Fri 15-Mar-13 12:17:35

All my dry patches have now gone and I have lovely, smooth skin which defo looks brighter. Am now going to scrub the living be-cheesus out of it and 'go for the burn'. Shiny skin peeled skin here I come!

A slight difference to my skin, my chin in particular looks a bit smoother and more even in colour. I’ve only used the flannel once every 2-3 days, three times in total, so I think I need to use it a bit more often and a bit more vigorously.

A work colleague has started using a cheap microfiber cloth after I told her about the flannel and this thread. She’s been using it ‘enthusiastically’ for three nights and her skin definitely looks a lot brighter today than usual – so for those not wanting to spend out, a cheap pack of cloths from the supermarket would do as good a job imo.

ggirl Fri 15-Mar-13 19:02:53

I'm so glad some of us are getting results! Charliefox..go easy girl! I still have completely raw patch from scrubbing .

babybarrister Fri 15-Mar-13 20:20:20

Just done my first bravura lactic acid peel - sizzling with neutraliser is just weirdgrin

ggirl Fri 15-Mar-13 21:09:18

It is weird isn't it..it's surprisingly loud!

Ikeameatballs Fri 15-Mar-13 21:57:25

Got mine today, super excited to use it tonight! Will report back in the morning.

dollyxdaydreamer Fri 15-Mar-13 22:01:47

Update! I've used the dermaflannel every 2-3 days for a week now (4x total) and can definitely see a big difference in my skin. Really pleasantly surprised! Agree that it definitely sort of creeps up on you.
I've found that it makes my skin much more 'refined' compared to using a normal flannel. Infant, I now find my usual flannels too scratchy and leave my skin a bit angry/inflamed/irritated (and I don't rub hard!). This cloth somehow seems to do a better job, but at the same time be more gentle. As others have said, it's a miracle - and this is coming from someone who thought it was crap to start with!

ToothGah Sat 16-Mar-13 00:31:19

Totally agree with DrGoogle - my skin also seems more even in colour.

When I've got no makeup on my skin seems a lot clearer, less red around the cheeks in particular (how on earth can a simple cloth do that?) and basically just brighter and better. My mum was literally studying my skin yesterday saying I hadn't got a single wrinkle - my skin feels plump and almost a little tight.

33p ladies! Just a 33p cloth, no dermaflannel here grin

I'm hoping for an improvement in my pores but I do have glycolic acid now which I'll be testing out tomorrow grin

Ikeameatballs Sat 16-Mar-13 08:36:35

Well this morning my right cheek is pretty rosy pink, not sure if somehow I overdid that area compared with everywhere else? My skin in general feels a bit tighter, the spots I have on my chin seem to be healing up.

I am going to take photos on my phone to try to be objective about it.

How often are you all sing it? I was thinking alternate days? Or is using it gently every day going to be better?

Tooth - are the cloths you talk about the ones you would find in Asda cleaning isle? Have not got the money for a posh one and will wait and put an order in when I get paid.
Wondering if they would be good for dd 15 she has bumpy cheeks bit like the bumps some people get one their arms.
Do you use to take cleanser off or just with water?

ggirl Sat 16-Mar-13 09:42:06

I've used it on ds(10) upper arms which have dry little bumps on them and it works, I need a few more goes at it but amazing!

I have little red dots on my legs, not really spots as they don't have heads, apart from the odd one or two. Any idea if this would help? I'm an S&B numpty, I don't currently exfoliate anywhere except for my face. I also have blocked pores on my nose which I'd like to be rid of.

Do people use muslin for face washing then? I'm a bit skint, but I do have muslin. Might see if I can get hold of a microfibre cloth as well though.

A the moment I use the Ikea childrens face cloths for cleansing with Liz earle hot polish.
Going to try this on bumpy arms as well

Used it for the first time last night. I can't believe how glowy my skin is this morning. I am 36 and have been thnking about what to use. The skincare market is a real minefield - I don't need any other exfoliator. My skin is bright and smooth and my vitalumiere foundation looks even more goegeous. I am not into skincare routines and facials but this truly is amazing!! Thanks ggirl. Hope bravura send you lots of goodies for the exposure.
Would not use the more abrasive cloth they are launching as this was perfect.

£3.65 delivery?! for a cloth?! That's put me off a bit hmm

ToothGah Sat 16-Mar-13 13:01:16

Chocolatespiders it's got dimples in, so not exactly the same as the ones you usually get in the supermarket. It's the yellow cloth in this pack, you can get them from The Range and I think pound shops.

I just use one with hot water after I've removed my makeup.

I have read though that normal microfibre cloths are good for removing makeup and do help to exfoliate, so there's no harm in trying.

I have keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) on my legs and will be trying a cloth on that today as it sounds like it will help that too smile

Thanks tooth... I am going to try on dd's arms as she hates them in the summer. I have found some nice waffle weave ones on Amazon.

please let me know how you get on with your legs smile

LOL - those look rather similar to the dermaflannel smile I think they are more than worth a try.

Also try moisturiser with urea in for KP - Garnier Hyrdralock is worth a try.

I've also heard good things about Vaseline Cocoa Butter. I don't persevere enough with moisturising but I'm really going to make the effort this year to try and get rid of it.

Those waffle weave dishcloths look exactly like the dermaflannel. They're what my friend in work bought and they're doing as good a job, her skin looks as improved, if not more, than mine.

I'm thinking I've been had off for the best part of £15 confused

chocolatespiders Sat 16-Mar-13 13:51:34

Gutted you can only buy them as an add on if you spend £20 or more. need to find them some where else now.

I have used mine 4 times every other day, and while my skin feels soft and smooth I am having the worst breakout!
Has anyone else experienced this? Hope it will improve sad

ggirl Sat 23-Mar-13 14:11:15

yup, I have had a few spots come out where they have probably been lurking.I am hoping to get through that when the pots clear up. I'm sure it's only temporary.

LovingTheSunshine Mon 01-Apr-13 22:16:36

I ordered a Bravura DermaFlannel & love it. My skin looks s much brighter/healthier the day after I use it.

fuckwittery Mon 01-Apr-13 22:29:26

Can you use these on bikini line ingrowing hairs does anyone know please?

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe Mon 01-Apr-13 23:29:35

I've just bought this flannel because of this thread... everytime I come to S&B I end up buying something...shock

busyboysmum Mon 01-Apr-13 23:59:45

Haha me too, but I bought a pack of 2 from Aldi for £1.50. Not sure if it is this or my home made vitamin c serum which I started at the same time also thanks to mns&b but my 43 year old skin has never looked better.

babybarrister Tue 02-Apr-13 11:40:23

I have one now- thanks- should it be used just moist on dry skin?
How often should it be washed?
How often should it be used?
Thanks smile

ggirl Tue 02-Apr-13 16:56:36

did you get some instructions with it?
mine said to use on freshly cleansed skin and to wet the flannel with warm/hot water
can be used daily but gently , don't use on eye area, or less often if you're worried
it's easy to overdo it ..i made the skin at the corners of my mouth raw for days!

It makes creams etc work more effectively as I recently discovered..used some retin a cream on my face , don't usually get much of a reaction but the next day my skin was peeling shock

don't be surprised if you get some spots at the beginning

babybarrister Tue 02-Apr-13 17:23:05

I probably did get instructions grin
