So I've discovered her blog thanks to you lovely ladies, however I have hit a wall. Its here if you are interested. The products she recommends are soooo expensive, but I like the logic of her method.

She says you should think about how much you spend on a handbag and shoes and that is wear we hit a stumbling block. In the past year I've bought one pair of shoes for £20 in the Banana Republuc sale combined with a voucher!

So fans of her double cleanse, double tone, moisturise method, what products do you use? The more purse friendly the better. I'm finding she recommends lots of cleansers, a few key toners but I'm really stuck on moisturisers and ingredients to look for.

Where did you find the Glow Tonic Always

I've checked the Pixi website several times and they never seem to have it!

YouStayClassySanDiego · 02/08/2013 12:19

I've found Clarins Hydra Quench moisturiser to be fantastic.

I double cleanse with a water cleanser from Vichy then use the Clinique balm on my face and give a good scrub with a flannel.

Clarins toner and The Caudalie elixir spray after that.

Estee Lauder ANR then the Clarins.

I liked Hydralauron but like to swap serums so will use ANR for a while then possibly go back.

Steben · 02/08/2013 15:34

How do you use the spritz elixir? Have read you can use over make up? At what stage in cleanse would you use it?

squoosh · 02/08/2013 15:46

PomBearArmy you can only buy the Pixi Glow Tonic in the shop or over the phone.

YouStayClassySanDiego · 02/08/2013 15:55

I use the elixir after the Clarins exfoliating toner but before the serum.

PomBearArmy · 02/08/2013 16:08

Thank you squoosh Smile

Sali Hughes is good for recommendations at lower price ranges. I am using the Body Shop Nutriganics cleansing gel (a balm cleanser) which she recommended a few weeks ago and love it. It is about £10 for a tube I think.

At night I use this as my first cleanse and then am alternating between a Simple cleansing milk (around £3 I think) and an Avene one (around £7 i think). In the morning I use one of the cleansing milks.

My skin looks great even with these - think the cheap products are fine. Particularly notice a difference with the Body Shop one - I sometimes use this in the morning too and my skin looks very clear.

I then use a Simple toner. Not totally sure this does much TBH.

I then put on Peptabright and then Hydraluron. I love both, and I reckon Hydraluron is particularly worth the money if you are in any way dehydrated.

I'm still not quite there with moisturisers. I love Clarins Multi Active Day and Night but can't quite afford them this month. They;re on the list.

The next thing I'm going to add in is the Clarins Exfoliator Toner which I have read a lot of good things about. My skin is looking fantastic since I started double cleanse, tone, hydraluron, moisturiser. I think my skin just needs a bit extra help and this sounds about right

Just a tip- this months Red magazine has a travel kit of Ren products with it- a small day moisturiser, a smaller one for night and a face wash, all for normal skin. I quite like Red and thought it was a good way to try out some of the range as Caroline Hirons quite likes it.

squoosh · 04/08/2013 14:51

I bought Red yesterday for that exact reason Kosher! Thought it was a pretty good freebie.

womma · 08/08/2013 08:50

Special offer alert - Boots have got all the Indeed Labs stuff on offer as a third off, so Hydraluron and the eye one are £16.

I'm going to try some now it's cheaper. And they've got a sampler set of three products for £8.

KosherBacon · 08/08/2013 09:13

That's major bloomin' annoying as I just spent £25 on the stuff from Boots! Thanks for sharing the offer, Womma.

madamecake · 08/08/2013 11:07

Thanks womma, I've been eyeing up the hydraluron for a while but I'm definitely going to get it now it's in offer.

jumpinghoops · 08/08/2013 11:08

Amazing, will stock up thanks for the alert!!

NigellasGuest · 08/08/2013 11:41

Wow! How long is that offer on for? Can't get to Boots for a few days. Perhaps the offer is on Boots online as well?

GreenSkittles · 08/08/2013 11:49

For God's sake, I just bought the Hydraluron a day before it went on special! Angry

Oh well. I may as well buy more. Hmph.

GreenSkittles · 08/08/2013 11:50

It is online Nigella

daylily · 08/08/2013 12:21

I have just discovered Caroline's blog from reading about her here. I wonder would anyone help me, what are the main products and brands she recommends? I want to read through all the blogs and will do but I am going on holiday tomorrow and short of time but may have time to kill in duty free... Thanks

GreenSkittles · 08/08/2013 13:10

They kind of change from time to time, but the ones I've picked up on are

Cleansers - Clinique Take the Day Off, Emma Hardie moringa balm, Boots Botanics Balm (I think), Balance Me cleanse and smooth face balm. She doesn't like foaming cleansers

Exfoliating cleaner - Pixi Glow Tonic, Clinique Exfoliating Toner, P50

Moisturising toner - Caudalie Face Elixir, Melvita rosewater, La Roche Posay Serozinc

Serum - Hydraluron (Indeed Labs) Alpha H Liquid Gold (then nothing after it.)

Moisturiser - Not sure. She did recommend Organic Surge Night Cream though.

NigellasGuest · 08/08/2013 13:38

thank you Green Skittles!

A quick way to see what CH recommends is by looking at her Hall of Fame - although I can't remember what if any moisturisers are there.

Arisbottle · 08/08/2013 13:46

Superfacialist is all 1/3 of in Boots at the moment, I bought the cleansing oil which smells lovely

GreenSkittles · 08/08/2013 14:48

I forgot Nigella Here are the Hall of Fame posts daylily www.beautymouth.com/search/label/Hall%20of%20Fame

JennySense · 08/08/2013 15:17

Thanks for the list Green
I'm thinking of getting Hydralauron and Alpha H this week [alpha H is free delivery at the mo on QVC]

I've also order a sample of Emma Hardie's balm for £5 over at latestinbeauty

NigellasGuest · 08/08/2013 15:27

would I be correct in saying you use Hydraluron after serum but before moisturiser?

ggirl · 08/08/2013 15:30

I treated myself to the EH moringa balm , big tub for about £50 [shock) for my birthday.
I am switching to coconut oil I think, EH is good stuff but imo not worth that much.
I can't be arsed to double cleanse tbh.I'm pretty proud of myself when I cleanse properly once !
I have the hydraluron indeed stuff from boots , good stuff but bravuras is exactly the same .
