Have a lovely MU everyone. Hope you are several bottles of prosecco in by now! Such a gorgeous day for it. Looking forward to hearing about it.

At a lunch wearing blue Whistles rope print dress (from two summers ago) with gold Jimmy Choo heels. Am enjoying the air con in the restaurant...

OneLittleLady · 06/07/2013 14:38

I love that dress dry though I worry that on my rather large norks, it would look a bit matronly?

Drywhiteplease · 06/07/2013 15:03

One I'm smaller on top so suit high/round/slash/boat necks. Plunging necklines make Me look boney....the fat's all moved south on me!!!!!Grin. It's only the length that I'm not sure about for every day and poss work.

Drywhiteplease · 06/07/2013 15:04

Hope the MU is going well....have visions of the whole Me + Em collection being modelled in a restaurant in London!

OneLittleLady · 06/07/2013 15:07

If I'm truthful dry even though I've piled on the weight, I carry it well as I've put it on evenly everywhere instead of all just on , say, my bottom half. The only think I don't have is a fat face, not even a hint of double chin! Well, not unless I really push my face down for comedic effect Hmm

You must be taller than me if that dress comes up short on you as it looks a decent length in the picture. That said, I swear hemlines are getting shorter every season

Drywhiteplease · 06/07/2013 15:45

I'm now a blithering wreck....blubbing at Wimbledon final! While you're all out at the MU! Have a Wine for me.....5.30 I'll be having mine when I go out Grin

One I'm not even 5ft3 and the model is 5.10 but the skirt looks the same length and I'm short waisted...it's wierd!Confused

LinusDKD · 06/07/2013 15:45

Such a shame dry! But if you feel like your not going to be comfortable wearing it, there is no point in keeping it.

I can't wait for my two sales dresses to arrive and I hope they are as nice as the other M&E dresses I already have.

DMIL told me on Skype earlier that I looked lovely so I e-mailed her the link to the M&E website.

Migth have to get some Driclor next time I'm in the UK because I need it in weather like this. Not sure about the stinging though.

OneLittleLady · 06/07/2013 15:48

You're taller than me dry Grin I'm a very teeny 5ft exactly. Shame about the dress then, it is very nice but if it's too short, it's too short

LinusDKD · 06/07/2013 15:48

dry I can't wait for DH to make me a White Lady later on because I bought a bottle of Hendricks Gin to see if it's as nice as Bombay Sapphire.

Oh, and maybe a G&T tomorrow when we have friends coming over for a bbq.

Drywhiteplease · 06/07/2013 16:51

Remind me Linus gin,Cointreau and ?.... Sounds like a good one for summer hols....aperitif is earlier then !!!! (6 pm term time, kids activities permitting!!!!) Grin

shopafrolic · 06/07/2013 16:56

Well that was fun! On the train home
MrsR so pretty, amazing hair, gorgeous necklace and great neon Zatchel. Glad you joined the fun.
Liberty so nice to put face to name, as lovely as I'd hoped and great necklace. Glad some of my things went to such a great new home.
Marsha my partner in crime! Fab neon J Crew tee and sunnies, great minds think alike!
Sleep naughty trying to tempt me into Anna...another time? Beautiful All Saints dress and lovely jewellery as always
Novice beautiful dress and oh that ring is to die for
Such a good time, I didn't want to leave. Much prosecco consumed in the sunshine. Pissed - yes but feel very lucky to have met such a fab bunch of people.

Linus make sure you serve that Hendricks with a slice of cucumber instead of lemon. Yummy!

LinusDKD · 06/07/2013 16:59

According to the Savoy Cocktail Book it's:

1/4 lemon juice
1/4 cointreau
1/2 dry gin

Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. I love it over crushed ice and with a splash more cointreau.

Can't wait until DC are in bed!

I'm having a beer now [classy]

LinusDKD · 06/07/2013 17:01

What ring, what ring?

Oh, and what happened to update from the look!

MarshaBrady · 06/07/2013 17:38

Haha we're still here. Fab times. Back later.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 06/07/2013 18:18

Glad the meetup is going well

Re Driclor. It does itch like mad the first couple of times. Try to get it on your actual armpit only. I put it on before bed an lie with arms outstretched to get air on it to dry it quicker!

DH picked this shirt up for me in the Zara sales today and I am in love! It's a beautiful charcoal colour and is thick and silky. I've already thought of a million outfit combos for it and I know it's going to be a hard worker in my wardrobe all year round.

I'm in a pink t shirt, veeery slouchy, pale wash denim shorts and purple Havs today. Feet need a rest after the high strappy sandals on the hottest night of the year.

I'm out on wednesday night with some v glam friends who live abroad so haven't seen for a year. The outfit has to be killer. Hope my JC sandals come in time.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 06/07/2013 18:19

Outfit sounds super glam McNally

shopafrolic · 06/07/2013 18:35

Paris Driclor is a revelation. Itchy last night but fine now and saved me from embarassment today.
Marsha can't believe you're all still going? I thought Sleep had to leave?? You're making me look bad! Am home now with a glass of wine having a lovely chat with DH and watching DS play in the sand. Good times.

Impressed the MU is still happening.

Hampstead heath was packed but dh and the dc did a job job of coping without me.

Really glad I was able to make it, lovely to meet you all. Was a very relaxed afternoon and felt like I'd met you all before.

McNally · 06/07/2013 18:52

Ahhhh, MU sounds very glam. Lots of great jewellery by the sounds of it.

That shirt is lovely Paris. It is great when you get something you know is going to work so well with your wardrobe. Impressed with your DH. Did he have instructions?!

shopafrolic · 06/07/2013 18:54

MrsR glad they coped - means you can come again? I will watch your 333 board with even more interest now I've met you IRL!

Have just got on train! Had a fab afternoon.Smile Mrs R and Liberty are sooo nice and lovely to see Marsha, Shop and Sleep again. I loved what everyone was wearing, especially accessoriesGrin

My skimpy dress (god help me when I get home Wink) was Desigual. The ring was Boodles raindance. Present from dh and makes me smile every time I wear it. I was also wearing a Tiffany amethyst bangle studded with diamonds - another dh Xmas present and Tiffany diamond studs (aka thank god you didn't die giving birth to dd present from dhSmile). Non diamonds were white gold ankle bracelet, magnolia silver flower watch and fab £6 rose necklace from magnolia.

The prosseco was plenty as was the chat. Good times x

BrandyAlexander · 06/07/2013 19:36

lovely shirt paris.

mcnally I was considering this me&em dress but it's sold out in my size. maybe boring? don't know.

have been getting hot weather head today and looking for summer dresses. i like vanessa bruno but still expensive, and maybe too pastel-y?

another gorgeous athe but not sure on the colour, bit too autumnal pour moi i think

I like this acne, absolutely ADORE the colour and shape but it's 100% poly. even if it's that special french poly Wink still super spendy for a plastic dress, non?

also having worn my gorgeous new breton from linus yesterday Thanks Thanks looked at some more maison scotch and found this super cool take which I may bookmark and consider.

finally - sorry, epic post! - balenciaga. do the bags ever go on sale? I can't afford FP, am considering second hand, but still so expensive. what to dooooo?!
