Good morning everyone! I am sat in my garden with a cup of tea, enjoying a bit of peace for what feels like the first time in ages. DS's are on holiday and DD isn't very well, burning hot and very lethargic, so they are all vegging in front of the TV in their pj's, no need to get ready for school, bliss! DD being unwell also gives me a good excuse not to take the boys out to the zoo
(crap mum I know but it's too hot!)
We spent the weekend with family in the countryside, mainly eating outside and watching the kids doing lots of different things involving water and playing with the new puppy DSIL family just got. It was so lovely. DH and I braced ourselves for the dog appeal but so far DC's have been cool so that's a relief.
I think I will be spending the day in shorts and bikini top today, sorting out the house, we are putting it on a rental website to let out during holidays (mainly as an attempt to prevent any further break ins when we are away). They are doing a photo shoot on Wednesday morning so all clutter needs to be gone
QueenC I agree with Decam on the bag thing, brief DH about it rather than putting it on invitation. I actually gave DH a list of things I'd like as presents before my birthday, ranging from £15 up as I figured anyone looking for guidance would ask him and he would have been clueless. Quite a few people did.
Shop I have a story to beat your DH being shat on, a baby seagull fell on DH the other day, they nest on the rooftops around here in summer, this one clearly thought it could fly before it actually could
. DH is bird-phobic so freaked out, yelling for me to come and get the chick (which was actually pretty big and aggressive) out of our living room where it ended up(bi fold doors all open). So we then had two days of not being able to open our doors or use the garden because this chick took up residence and anyone venturing out got dive bombed by the mum. Not fun with this heat. We got up on the third day and chick had gone, the official line is that it learned to fly but we are pretty sure a fox got it
for bird but
for us getting our garden back!
