Awesome jacket.....interesting jeans Grin.

GwendolynMoon · 25/06/2013 17:05

Thanks for the White Company advice mignonette will def have a look. They've never really been on my radar. I am exactly like you re. swimwear, I hate tanning and love swimming so string bikinis and such don't really work for me!

Back from picnic and afternoon at the park and so much to catch up on Smile

GwendolynMoon · 25/06/2013 17:08

Dry the 'red necklace of doom' sounds very intriguing!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/06/2013 17:10

Santa love the J Crew sweater - great buy!

Mignonette that Kooples skirt is gorgeous. I'm really in the market for a good deep yellow skirt. J Crew have this which I was hoping they'd do in a more marigold wool for fall, but I think the more quirky shape of the Kooples skirt trumps it for me.

Where can I read Amber's blog? (blog fiend)

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/06/2013 17:13

Gwen, Dry's red necklace is the stuff of MNV legend! Shiny red plastic flowers, bought while under the influence and hastily ebayed.

Drywhiteplease · 25/06/2013 17:16
Grin

grumpy Amber's blog

GwendolynMoon · 25/06/2013 17:16

Thanks Grumpy sounds hideous quirky Smile

mignonette · 25/06/2013 17:21

Dry I adore flannel, boiled wool, felt and all those lovely textures. And yes, they work so well in brights. Am really looking forward to A/W. There's going to be some gorgeous stuff in the shops. Emma Hill is working with Luella Bartley now so expect something covetable from those two. They do colour/texture in such an irreverent British manner.

Gwen

these Asos Pyjama day pants are lovely.

butterfly pj bottoms;

these Iris&Edie pj bottoms are my favourite...

mignonette · 25/06/2013 17:27

Grumpy Def not slutty. I have a Christopher Kane snake skirt and it suits the exact kind of beatnik look you suggest- polo, opaques and i wear mine with woollen tights in all kinds of colours and weaves.

The Kooples snake skirt would look great with charcoal, midnight, nut brown, dove grey and a sloppy cream or buttermilk sweatshirt....

Drywhiteplease · 25/06/2013 17:29

Mig ice cream,pjs.....anymore wierd obsessions?Wink if you see any A/W skirts let me know.
Grumpy could be funky but bit limiting if only with black IMO ......although I wear everything with black!
God I really can't be arsed to cook dinner.....must get out of cosy armchair, must feed kids.......

mignonette · 25/06/2013 17:39

I am a swamp of weird obsessions Dry....the surface has yet to be scratched..❢

I have a pin of a lovely ginger herringbone skirt that I ♡ here. I so want this skirt and will have to get a dressmaker to make one if I can find material similar..

GwendolynMoon · 25/06/2013 18:09

Wow Mig. I am overwhelmed with pyjama loveliness. The Iris&edie ones are one of my fave colours. In fact I may just order them now.

Am going to check out Me+Em tshirts too as have been looking for some long ones.

LinusDKD · 25/06/2013 18:53

DS perked up a bit this evening and ate his dinner reasonably well. I really hope he is better tomorrow as the nursery are taking all the children on a picnic at the beach near the lake and I would hate it for him to miss this.

Gwen have a look at Hush as well, they have some fab pj's and loungewear.

Use PRESALE13 for 20% off their whole range.

I'm looking forward to A/W fabrics as well, love tweed etc.

I just ordered this as it was back in stock and I am glad I did because my size has sold out again.

I wish Pinterest allowed you to 'slide' a copy of different pictures onto one board so I could catalog outfits and combinations I like for future reference. Or maybe it does and I haven't found out how to do it yet?

A bit like Cher in Clueless

carrie74 · 25/06/2013 19:21

linus, that's on my sale wish list! Looks like it's sold out in my size [bawl]. I'm playing chicken with the Me&Em sale this year, which has always workd well for me, but the brand's awareness on t'interweb seems much greater this summer...

Love the heroes and villains lists, will browse through my pins and work mine out, but off the top of my head, my DKNY grey cozy, Me&Em blue ruched V neck dress, navy cigarette pants from B Republic, silk shirt from Massimo Dutti (Jan sales) and crazy green trousers from Gap.

Gwen I was at a Jack Wills outlet on Sunday, and they had great PJs too. I also like White Co PJs, and every Xmas buy a pair for all of us to open and wear on Xmas Eve so we look stylish in the present opening pics

happyreindeer · 25/06/2013 19:38

I do not know if it has been said or if we are even allowed to mention but Primark has some gorgeous white broderie pjs for £6

shopafrolic · 25/06/2013 19:52

Linus. I love my Me&em maxi dress - definitely my hero of the season along with my Paige jeans and my J Brand cargo pants. Also love my Whistles khaki dress and my Levi's M&C tomato red dress. In fact - loads of good stuff this season which has had lots of wear.
Villain so far (but I expect this will change) is the Muuaba leather jacket which I am now scared to wear in case I damage it......

LinusDKD · 25/06/2013 20:04

shop I hope I will love it as much as you do. Carrie I am waiting for the Me&Em sales as well, but I feared that dress wouldn't be on sale as it was sold out for a long time.

My hero items are: my Asos pencil skirts, the black and heather grey Splendid maxi tube skirts (I only got them recently but have worn them loads already), the MiH yellow breton (ditto), my AV tees, cobalt Gigis and last but not least, my Jimmies.

My dud has been a taupe Splendid tee. The colour really doesn't suit me so if anyone wants this in a large, pm me and I'll send it to you for free.

GwendolynMoon · 25/06/2013 20:19

Oh my word linus hush has the most amazing pyjamas and exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you!

I absolutely love these

Going to order them!

Oh dear, am going to bankrupt myself on pyjamas! Smile

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/06/2013 20:32

I'd highly recommend the Hush stuff, I live in my merino harems when I'm at home and TBH they don't look too shabby with layered up Ts, cable socks and biker boots out 'in public'.

I'm determined to get ebaying some of my stuff to prepare for AW (sad, I know). I only have a couple of bits to add to my summer stuff, sadly now not including the Tiki shorts I adored from J Crew because, as predicted, the buggers sold out in all sizes except 00 and large sizes before I could order them. Keeping watch in case any come back though.

Started dipping my toe into AW with a perfect grey cashmere sweater bought last week on shopping trip with MIL, but got home to find security tag still attached . Now face driving 40 mins back to get it removed - unimpressed. And no, alarm didn't even go off when I left the shop.

Thanks for Amber's blog link too Dry, will have a good catch up later.

OneLittleLady · 25/06/2013 20:37

I saw a beautiful MaxMara dress today but I couldn't decide if I should buy it or not. Emerald green with ruching at the front was lovely but perhaps to 'evening wear' for my lifestyle Sad

LinusDKD · 25/06/2013 20:38

Those pj's are lovely!

Lovely jumper Grumpy! I wish I could do jumpers but I feel I look better in cardigans.

Happy Can you link those broderie pj's?

Drywhiteplease · 25/06/2013 20:59

Yep Grumpy that's a great jumper. I'm scared of cashmere though.
Shop is it the brown leather jacket you bought from Room? It's beautiful....just bite the bullet and start getting the CPW down.
Happy (and grumpy you sound like the dwarves!!!Grin ) all my pjs are from Primarni.
Mignonette that is exactly the sort of skirt I need, style and colour. If I can find a stockist of lovely coloured wool fabric I'll get my sewing machine out. Liberty perhaps.

Sleepwhenidie · 25/06/2013 21:31

Hi everyone, please stop linking lovely pj's and grey cashmere, two huge weaknesses of mine. Am sat in the gorgeous blue silk jcrew pj bottoms from NAP as I type Grin. Not keeping the top though, prefer a vest top with them.

As for the rest of my NAP sale order, the James Perse skirt is great (or will be for A/W with tights). Dress is fab but set my mutton-o-meter off, shame I'm not ten years younger like Santa and Barbie Grin - bet it looks amazing on you guys. The Duffy top is lovely and soft but a bit meh, not especially flattering or beautiful, so also heading back.

Santa I almost ordered that JCrew sweater too, but reined myself in once I looked at all the grey cashmere I already own! We really could shop very successfully for each other Grin. Am about to pm you btw.

Glad you and DH are on better terms now Shop, oh and get that jacket on!

Snakey skirt is gorgeous Grumpy, watch out for it being snapped up by lurkers though!

Mignonette love your boards...

One I love Maxmara but it doesn't really fit into any scenarios in my life either Smile. What occasion would you see yourself wearing the dress for?

Marsha you are conspicuous in your absence, how is your week going?

My s/s heroes have to be my Zara distressed jeans - now very very distressed due to over-wear, the Maje sequin cardigan, I love it, wearing it loads, by day with jeans, T and ballet flats or supergas and night with jeans, vest and heels. Villain would be Mango leopard print shorts that still have label on...still, at least not too expensive, like other villains here!

OneLittleLady · 25/06/2013 21:43

sleep I was going to buy it a size down and put it away for Christmas/NYE, they are the only times I really get dressed up!
