oh yes santa I love lulu. but would have to sell my first born to fully kit out my yoga week.

up early with coffee pre-practice, back later. looks like it could be a hot one Smile.

Decameron · 01/07/2013 07:00

My brother and his wife are in Melbourne at the moment, Liberty. He wants to move back to Dublin but she wants to move to NZ, where she is from. I think she will win this one. So look out for them. Wink

If you really like the jacket, Anni, keep it!

I ordered this when getting a few things for the DDs, bought a similar blouse earlier in the summer on Mrs CB's recommendation which has been a good buy.

Enjoy the sun.

LinusDKD · 01/07/2013 07:07

santa I really envy people with an eye for interior design. I know what I like and what I don't like when I see pictures of interiors, but I have no clue how to do it myself.

I can buy individual pieces of furniture etc but have a hard time pulling them together. Luckily the lady in the furniture shop gave me some tips but I would like to read up on interior design or follow a course.

This book looks interesting

book

Today I'm wearing white linen trousers, a navy Massimo Dutti tee, my red Henriettas and a red and gold Chan Luu bracelet with two yellow gold bangles. A bit nautical but I like it as it is going to be a hot day today.

MarshaBrady · 01/07/2013 07:13

Santa that dress is gorgeous, grr at the creep who ruined your night however. Hope you are ok.

Linus how exciting about the furniture. We're big fans of E15, Asplund and various bits from Viaduct in London.

Liberty we can chat about Aus. I've been here 14 years (!) but spent 5 in Melbourne for university. I don't think I can go back, I'm so wedded to here.

Foxy yoga kit sounds fab.

Glorious day.

Looking forward to Saturday I'd never say no to warm weather so hope it sticks! Shop am sure you'll look great.

BrandyAlexander · 01/07/2013 07:36

Morning all! I am at Wimbledon todayGrin though have to do an 8am VC meeting with Geneva first! I love my outfit today. Purple Warehouse slouchy cowl neck top with new Ralph Lauren Hamilton beige trousers and sparkly purple carvella ballerina pumps. Accessories are my new leather wrap watch (bought on Saturday and love it), Tiffanys charm bracelet, new silver ring (from Saturday too) and my tan Aspinal biker bag. Happy days!

LinusDKD · 01/07/2013 07:45

Waves to novice from Geneva. Wish I was at Wimbledon though as I've never been.

Drywhiteplease · 01/07/2013 08:04

Novice fab outfit and what a great day to go to Wimbledon....I'll be watching, can't wait!
Decameron I bought MrsCB blouse too, it's been so useful I've just bought yours !Grin
Shop get your legs out.....I'm sure you look fab
Linus I love doing up a room. I love the whole magazine (now other people's pins) thing, getting ideas, creating a mood board and then finding the look cheaper............we are extending over the next year and I'll have 2 bathrooms , a new master bedroom and kitchen/diner to sort.....can't bloody wait!Grin... Soft furnishings are my thing, love a fabric shop!

Drywhiteplease · 01/07/2013 08:06

Am dreading the dust though Sad

shopafrolic · 01/07/2013 08:14

Novice will keep my eyes peeled for you on the tellybox. Have fun - I am Envy - I've never been either. Are you VCing with Linus Confused
Am wearing my new Paul & Joe tee from the DR and my J Brand Sashas as I'm going back this morning to retry some of the jeans. Will change again later as it will be hot today.

Annianni · 01/07/2013 08:28

Morning all...

Shop, size down in any Hudson's you try, as they do give a bit with wear.

MrsRadicchio · 01/07/2013 09:21

Shop, have fun at the dressing room! I had a look at their stuff on line - some good reductions.

Novice hope you enjoy Wimbledon. I've never been but I may risk becoming a social pariah but I have no desire to. I don't really enjoy watching sports. Exception to that is the Olympic athletics and London marathon!

I'm envious of those of you who have Australia / NZ as an option. I haven't been to NZ but seen lots of photos and it looks beautiful plus all the new zealenders I've met have been very fit and outdoorsy plus laidback. But it is just too far from family for us.

Agree about summer clothes liberty, I don't think i need ever buy more summer clothes.

Santa, that is a gorgeous dress. Hope you are feeling ok about what happened. Don't know why some men think that is an ok way to behave.

Lovely top decam, and dry!

Linus, how was the sizing on your French soles? I've just ordered a pair (in 2 sizes) from atterley road. Can't link as on phone but they are white quilted with a black toe. I have loved them for a long time.

I also bought Iro trousers, i think you liked them too shop? They are size 12 so i doubt I'll keep them. Will link later.

Anni, i do like the leather sleeved jacket having seen it on pin. Agree it is more trend led than the other. Sure you could recoup some from eBay. Whistles stuff seems to do quite well on there.

Sorry forgotten who mentioned it but i have a seam back tee and it is fine, no holes - yet. V thin material though.

Have a good day all.

MrsRadicchio · 01/07/2013 09:23

Oh meant to add (following epic post) that I am doing project 333. Which will add an extra layer of complexity when planning what to wear on Sat!

shopafrolic · 01/07/2013 09:38

Hudson Shoes sale now on fab brogues

MarshaBrady · 01/07/2013 09:39

Novice have a great day at Wimbledon.

Meant to say on last post am sure everyone will look fab on Saturday of course!

LinusDKD · 01/07/2013 10:09

Gah, just lost a whole post thanks to DD! She is superquick and tries to grab everything.

MrsR my French Soles are a size 38 and fit perfectly. Shop told me they size quite small so I went for my normal size, whereas I can get away with a 37.5 or even a 37 in some brands.

DS lives in Oz and even though I love visiting her there, I couldn't live there forever. It is just too far away from Europe and DM would have a fit if both DD's lived there.

mignonette · 01/07/2013 10:15

Novice

Have a lovely day at Wimbledon. Will keep a beady eye out.
Had a lot to read up on as this thread moves so fast a couple of missed days leaves one with the equivalent of a Sunday supplement to read Smile...I liked the NYC/emigrant/migrant chat. I lived all over the place as a child, spent a greater part of my childhood in Central America (could barely speak English upon my return), travelled to Brazil, HK, Korea, Japan and Taiwan with a parent who worked there and have never felt settled since! It can be problematic sometimes as I can get so restless. I internalise it which explains a lot.

santa Sorry to hear about your encounter with a needle dick. A similar thing happened to me at one of the London med school balls and it disturbed me for a long time especially as his GF was party of our group. I hope you can shake it off..

Had a pretty quiet weekend with strawberry picking on the allotment which had to be aborted early as discovered a colony of very angry bees in our compost heap. I didn't have my Epipen on me so had to leg it sharpish meaning I trod in the pond on my way out covering my Espadrilles with pond slime (I know, not allotment footwear...). Dh stung three times on his face so I poured antihistamines into him as I carry those too in all my bags (they stop anaphylactic reactions whereas adrenalin supports breathing). I must leave an Epipen in the shed....

Watching the Stones on Saturday left me rather melancholic for lost youth and all that. I'm not normally like that but some of the tracks just got me there (Midnight Rambler/Sympathy For The Devil/can't Always Get What You Want)...Nick Cave was excellent on Sunday but why did his violinist keep spitting? Gross..Loved Kenny Rogers too.

Did anybody watch the Rick Hall documentary on Texas last night? we're of to Austin sometime next Spring so watched with interest. God, America is so romantic in the big sense of the word....

Today I am wearing a red Ralph Lauren skirt with a pattern of Ginkgo leaves, a white C+C California V neck T and my Comme white Jack Purcells here.

I ordered the bright yellow Tory Burch cuff as an initiation into wearing jewellery. I so admire jewellery on others but always trash it and after years of not being safe to wear anything grabbable at work, i have got out of the habit.

libertychick · 01/07/2013 10:16

Mrs R would love to know what's on your 333 list - how long have you been doing it now? Have you been strict and included shoes and accessories in the 33?

Have a great day at Wimbledon novice.

Today I am in my ancient summer clothes! Linen flared stripy off white, navy and brown skirt from Zara (8 years old), Navy three quarter sleeve, linen mix blazer from Next (7 years old), Next brown low wedge leather sandals (4 years old). Only current item is I&I silk off white T!!! I love the shape of the skirt, very flared and it has an underskirt so it bounces around!

libertychick · 01/07/2013 10:21

That top looks lovely Decam I must pop into H&M later and take a look. I don't like ordering from them on line....

Annianni · 01/07/2013 10:23

Argh... don't know what to do...

Bloody jacket number 1
Bloody jacket number 2

And to add something else into the mix...
I've just collected this from Waitrose... another one here who loves click and collect.

I've liked the cardi/coat since last winter, but wouldn't have paid full price for it. But I think it'd be lovely for Autumn/Winter. And weight loss or gain isn't an issue, as it's a wrap around.

I think i'd better get ebaying this week before dh has a coronary :o

Annianni · 01/07/2013 10:28

Mig Shock scary bees!
Hope dh is ok.

Have fun today Novice

libertychick · 01/07/2013 10:33

jacket no 2, jacket no 2, jacket no 2 Grin

Not sure at all about the cardi/coat Anni - it's a bit 'bulky' looking...if you are not convinced about any of them then send the lot back and give yourself the combined £170 - £200 as a budget for something you really love? Grin

mignonette · 01/07/2013 10:47

Anni Prefer the Number two parka style. I can't wear big woolly coats as i get too hot and with the over heated world I live, I'd have a meltdown.

Annianni · 01/07/2013 10:49

The cardi/coat is very soft wool Liberty and I would wear it open, not tied with the belt.

And i'm a bit bulky anyway :o

Turquoiseblue · 01/07/2013 10:57

Good Morning
I d like to delurk and join in the fashion and love of life chat if you ve room for one more?
I m slightly fashion obsessed Mum of two, work part time, love outdoors, exercise, fine wine, style and beauty to name a few! Smile Gosh it feels like a cv sorry!

libertychick · 01/07/2013 11:03

Oh sounds lovely for snuggling up in winter then Anni. I would like a cardi/coat myself but never seem to see ones I like...40 Bum lady seems to find lots of them in TKMaxx. I'm a bit like Mig and get hot and bothered quite easily so prefer light things I can layer up. Even though I have a waist, things with waist ties don't seem to work...

What about something like this Me&Em jacket? This long cardi is potentially good and might go in the sale. I love this one but unfortunately sold out.
