Linus have fun in NYC.

Decam bet it was fabulous, 10 days is very difficult. 25 is so much better.

Hi Carrie!

MarshaBrady · 30/06/2013 10:22

My Amber vote is YSL and Chanel boy.

Santa how was the wedding? What did you wear?

MarshaBrady · 30/06/2013 10:25

Liberty that villa sounds perfect. I never want to drive on holiday and prefer not to do car hire so walking everywhere sounds great.

Mignon some lovely locations. Gorgeous.

ok post-tastic am going now Grin

BrandyAlexander · 30/06/2013 10:58

What Marsha saidGrin (waves to everyone!)

Decam, we will definitely have the weekend. I can cope with us both being in Europe but any further feels far away. I have a rule about neither of us can be out of the country at the same time (apart from anniversary weekend) so his PA and my PA have to talk before any business trip gets booked. I appreciate I am slightly nutty.Blush

Marsha, I also love Boston although in a very different way to New York. I am there 4 times a year so while I have never lived there I am beginning to know it well.

A MNV meet up in New York would be so much fun!!! Cosmos and shopping. Bliss.Grin

What's everyone wearing today? I have gone for the simple. Superdry t-shirt. It's a size too big so slouchy. And warehouse hot pants denim shorts which are bloody tight a snug fit. Dh v happy when he saw outfit.Wink

Decameron · 30/06/2013 11:27

I liked Boston a lot, probably would have moved there or upstate NY had we stayed.

Carrie, that jacket is fab. I have had to return a couple of Whistles seam back tees but they exchanged them no problem.

Come on Me & Em with the sale!

libertychick · 30/06/2013 14:49

Lovely necklace and jacket Mrs R. Wrong colours for me though...

Decam moving back to Ireland??? Wild horses wouldn't drag me back...is your DH Irish too? Sometimes I think it might be good (on tap babysitters especially) but then I think about my mother having easy access to me, everyone moaning about the economy and DH whinging about the weather (he's bad enough here)...that said you'd get an amazing house there ATM for half nothing.

Off now to see what Anni has been saying on pin...

libertychick · 30/06/2013 14:51

Am I the only one hoping for a slightly cooler day next Saturday? If it's this hot I officially have nothing suitable to wear!! Grin Shame you can't make it Foxy.

Drywhiteplease · 30/06/2013 15:40

Well, I just want to say how much I love John Lewis click and collect. I don't know how it happened spending ban and all but I got carried away cheering Laura on and bought two items. Text this morning, collected after monster kettle bells work out with no air cond, I was purple, think i shocked Waitrose twinset customers in my sweaty Sweaty Betty just had a try on. Why can't other companies be as brilliant?

NY MU....oh my god, how fantastic!

Today I'm ignoring the lack of sunshine up north ( it's about 17 though) and am wearing my orange slouchy vest layered over a white one with white cropped skinnies and flip flops.......all MNV inspired, Thanks for keeping me current.

Decameron · 30/06/2013 17:05

I love Click and Collect too, Dry. Except it is all too easy. Had another frugal chat with DH this morning, sigh. I think the DVF is a no goer.

DH is also Irish, Liberty. We'll move to Dublin and he'll commute weekly to London. Not ideal but we can get a much nicer house than we could afford in London, in a lovely area. Well, for Dublin as DH always adds (he's a culchie Wink). We won't get any help really but I'm used to that! My brother and father are there and I'd like to be around more for my dad as he gets older. We are thinking about secondary schools now even though DD1 is only 5. And of course, they'll go to Trinity! Planning ahead I know. I think our country needs us!

Decameron · 30/06/2013 17:06

Also, we've been living away for 16 years now ... only intended to go for 2 years!

Decameron · 30/06/2013 17:08

I'm wearing a very old DVF red knitted shift dress and flip flops. Persuaded DH to take the kids out so it's nice and peaceful here. :)

santamarianovella · 30/06/2013 17:10

Hello all, hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous weather,

Lovely purchases shop

paris welcome back, and I shop from revolve clothing, they do ship internationally,.

liberty don't jinx it Grin

a meet up in NYC sounds great!

marsha I wore this dress ,most of the female guest have taken inspiration from the kardashians big big hair with dozens of extensions and extravagant makeup, saw lots of Herve ledger and McQueen dresses, was enjoying myself till a horrible creepy and very drunk guy grabbed my arm on my way to the ladies room, panicked and went straight to we're DH and our friends were sitting, didn't want to say anything, and upset everyone ,so sat for a bit longer and asked DH if we could leave, and told everyone I was not feeling well,on our way home told DH ,and he lost it,was very upset and said I should have said something at that time,so our evening did not end so well.

back to fashion talk

dry JL is brill ,and your outfit sounds fab,I took advantage of the weather and changed 3 times todayGrin.

Decameron · 30/06/2013 17:25

Santa, beautiful dress. Sorry that creep ruined your evening.

Drywhiteplease · 30/06/2013 17:26

That's horrible Santa. Dress looks fab though. Accessories?

foxysocks · 30/06/2013 18:03

I wore a shirt dress. I don't know what I was thinking, it looked hideous. Have ony worn it twice and it's going to have to go it makes me feel like a tennis player as there is a frill round the bottom and i feel terribly constricted by the buttons. Ugh

I don't on know whether to return or exchange the seam back. I like it but if the same is likely to happen again I'd rather get my ££ and take it elsewhere.

Next purchases for me MUST be yoga gear, I can't teach in my old falling apart at the seams togs. I do get a sweaty Betty discount but last purchases from them have not worn well. I am such a fusspot.

foxysocks · 30/06/2013 18:05

Santa that's horrid poor you xxx

Sorry am on phone, v brief replies!

libertychick · 30/06/2013 18:24

Oh Santa, How horrible - hope you are feeling ok now - gorgeous dress.

Decam We came to London 'for a year or two' as well 9 years ago Blush. We plan to move on too, DH wants to go to Oz, I'm keen on NZ...decision will be made in next 18 months or so. Never too early to think of schools - on my to do list to start researching options in Oz and NZ. And yes our country does need us!!! DH would never move there though - he spent 5 months in Donegal with me at one point and says his only memory is of watching daytime TV while the rain lashed the house at a scary angle Grin.

And I love the JL collect service - it's manic occasionally at the pick up desk in my local Waitrose!

LinusDKD · 30/06/2013 19:54

Poor santa I hope you're ok now!

And that dress is beautiful, I bet you looked stunning and stood out in a sea of Kardashians.

DH and I spent most of the weekend getting the house ready for our new furniture that will, hopefully, be delivered in the next couple of weeks.

After moving countries and flats/houses so many times over the last ten years, we recently bought a house and decided that we could finally get rid of our Ikea furniture. I am so excited, I can't wait!

We are very happy here so we won't be moving any time soon but with DH's job it is always possible that we'll have to move again one day. I wouldn't mind moving to Singapore for a couple of years.

shopafrolic · 30/06/2013 20:50

Santa what a shame some creep ruined your evening.
Am back off to the Dessing Room tomorrow AM while DS is at nursery for some child and DH free shopping time.

shopafrolic · 30/06/2013 20:51

Novice know what you mean about clothing for meet up on Sat. I don't want to have to flash my legs at you lot :)

santamarianovella · 30/06/2013 20:52

thank you all,i hope the creep woke up today with the worst hangover known to man .

dry i wore silver strappy sandals with the a small silver mirrored clutch that i borrowed from my friend, i really need to buy a silver clutch.

dec i wish i lived closer to my family. i miss them all the time, and Ireland is a great place to live,i really hope they get to fix their problems soon.

foxy i want to buy some sports wear too, love addidas stella ,but they are still not on sale,i hear good things aboutwww.lululemon.com they are all the rage in the U.S.

liberty DH worked in hong kong and used to go to OZ all time,he loves it,i get very Envy whenever he starts talking about his trips there.

linus decorating is my kind of fun. there was the possibility of a move for us to M.E last year, and thank god DH managed to find a solution,we hate moving,i moved alot as a child, and DH moved all over south east asia in his 20s,and says he had enough, but we are thinking of selling our house and moving to a bigger one,our current house is very small for a family of 4. so now we are trying to figure out which area is best for us.

shopafrolic · 30/06/2013 21:02

Oops Liberty not Novice

Annianni · 30/06/2013 21:21

Lovely dress Santa, shame your evening was spoilt by a knob though.

Dry, the bricks are in 2 piles at the bottom of the garden, one clean neat pile, and one larger unclean pile... that I spend my days keeping the boys from climbing on. The garage will get built next Summer (along with a great big wall or fence to keep my nosy neighbours out)

We now have a lovely big window in the attic, but my darling husband is knackered rather tired.

The local building firm wanted £650 to put the window in, whereas it's taken dh a day to do it.
He hates paying people to do things that he can do himself, which is fine by me as I can spend that money on clothes, shoes and bags things for ds2's new bedroom.

Not decided on the jacket situation at the moment.
I know the sensible thing is to return the leather one.
I did toy with the idea of wearing it a few times, then flogging it on ebay when I inevitably got bored with it.
I thought I should get a chunk of the £80 back for it.

The knitted zip jacket is due Tuesday, not sure if it'll fit yet. So I'll probably decide then.

libertychick · 30/06/2013 22:47

Grin at Shop. If next Saturday is a scorcher I'll just have to suck it up and come in my Dotty P sundress and ancient Next sandals - I refuse to invest in summer clothing while living in this country. BTW I was wearing the grey Oliver Bonas top I bought from you via the MN swapboard and DH commented on how nice it is - v rare for him to comment on a specific piece of clothing.

Well done your DH Anni always like a man who is good with his hands Wink

Santa Australia is fantastic and I love it - spent 9 months there when I was travelling and cried when I left. But NZ is amazing too and we have so many friends and family there that I think we'd have an amazing lifestyle...decisions, decisions.

Clothing angst aside I am really looking forward to meeting so many of you next Saturday!

shopafrolic · 30/06/2013 23:00

So nice to hear that you like the top Liberty
Looking forward to seeing everyone too!
