P.s do you think this might be the bag Amber is saving up for? Lovely.......not sure though

libertychick · 28/06/2013 21:35

I think she is saving for a Chanel 2.55!

Hugs to you Dry. It's 'tired Friday night syndrome' as identified above by Mig - how about taking out an hour to get your nails done if full day away isn't possible?

Drywhiteplease · 28/06/2013 21:41

I'm fine....get plenty of time to myself as kids older .just moaning.......am at gym in the (late) morning, may stay for a coffee after Wink

Drywhiteplease · 28/06/2013 21:48

ooh a 2.55..... We should have a whip round and get her a stool! Grin

mignonette · 28/06/2013 21:49

Grumpy I love Deauville. Visited there along with Honfleur and Le Touquet a few years back.

Whereabouts in Lanzarote Liberty? I stayed at Teguise and loved it. Lots of hair raising driving in the mountains. Papagayo beach in the SE is a must. I have only been to Dublin once but spent four nights at The Clarence. When Lou Reed (my hero) was there for a night....

Dry i sometimes hate friday evenings.....Have a Wine....

We have a holiday to Southern France and Corsica- the Verdun Gorges and other such rock covered places then a boat to Corsica which is so romantically beautiful even though a lot of Corsicans hate us (tourists and mainland French especially). I'm aiming for a trip to Austin next year sometime including a road trip from a southern airport driving from or to Austin, maybe Alabama to Austin via Beau bridge as I have wanted to dance and eat at the Cajun Breakfasts held at the Beau bridge cafe in Louisiana for a long time now. And of course, New Orleans just happens to be on the way.....

Shop Hopefully the new job will bed in and a holiday will come your way soon. You likely need one too....Smile as it has been a hard old slog of a Winter in so many ways.

I travelled and lived abroad as a kid - Far East, central America and did the Europe via rail thing as a student. I want to do the big USA trip-at least 6 months out and plan to when DH NHS pension comes through in 2 years (he is able to retire at 55). I am also toying with buying a wreck in Sardinia and doing it up. Probably not to Frances Mayes standards (have you all seen her house in Tuscany? She has three now including a castle?).

Trying to find beach wear- costumes and a bikini and cover ups that don't make me look like a cut price Penelope Tree circa early 70's. I am not a wafty boho print kaftan-y girl. More the throw over T shirt dress type.

santamarianovella · 28/06/2013 21:57

holiday destination is still undecided!

beach look, well, i try to look glamourous ,but having two small dcs means that i end up resembling medusa by noon. i

liberty i want to do a south american tour too, brazil, peru and colombia, are on my list, DH says its a death wish to visit all three!

dry nancy and 2.55 can share a stool Grin.

shopafrolic · 28/06/2013 21:58

Mellissa Odabash (sp?) was on Secret Sales Mignonette

santamarianovella · 28/06/2013 22:04

mig i love mara hoffman, and im thinking of getting some of her stuff for our holiday.i just hope they go on sale soon.

AmberNectarine · 28/06/2013 22:09

You're both wrong, though 2.55 not a bad guess at all... Love that Wang dry but given the shabby state of Rocco I don't think I'll be investing in them again.

shop it is Fenn Wright Manson from two summers ago, sorry!

shopafrolic · 28/06/2013 22:12

Loved it Amber

shopafrolic · 28/06/2013 22:13

birkin?

shopafrolic · 28/06/2013 22:15

Right off to bed to prepare for the Dressing Room sale tomorrow......

mignonette · 28/06/2013 22:18

Will check those suggestions out everybody. Odabash and Heidi Klein were on Cocosa too but I didn't buy anything as cannot imagine ever being warm enough to wear swimwear again.....rain rain go away

Santa apparently Cartagena in Columbia is quite the place to go. Don't Lauren Santo Domingo's in laws own most of it?

Ecuador, Chile, Argentina and Paraguay are on my list. Father worked in Brazil a lot too so add that as well (after I have done loads of butt lifts)

santamarianovella · 28/06/2013 22:34

ohh yes mig and she got married there in a spectacular nina ricci couture gown.

i read that getting butt lifts in brazil is as common as getting your hair done,so basically you go to a clinic have some fat moved and rearranged from a place to another and voila your ready for the beach!

Drywhiteplease · 28/06/2013 22:53

Guess Ambers bag........a new game.hours of fun

Shop good luck tomorrow ....look forward to hearing what you buy.

Annianni · 28/06/2013 22:58

Is it a ysl Amber?

libertychick · 28/06/2013 23:09

Mig I am a disgrace as DH books the holidays and I leave him to it as he thoroughly enjoys getting immersed in the details - it's a James Villa, it's two blocks from a beach and a 2 min walk from a fish restaurant so I'm happy!! Will check out where it actually is someday (probably a week before we go) Blush

Santa Grin at the butt lifts. I worked with a woman from Brazil once and she told me all about the beach and body culture. Funnily enough she was very reserved and modest, wouldn't even display a shoulder but said she would happily get it all out on a beach at home.

So I am close with the 2.55...hmmmmm maybe going classic then with Bottega Veneta or on the other hand staying with the small cross body theme Delvaux strikes me as very Amber....

libertychick · 28/06/2013 23:15

Speaking of bags - I think I mentioned before that a colleague of mine has a fabulous Prada bag - well, the Prada is only the tip of the iceberg. She has 3 Mulberry's, a balenciaga city, a gorgeous Michael Kors and then she told me recently she has a Birkin!! I begged her to bring it in to work and she did last week - drool, drool, drool - she regards me with faint amusement I think as I insist on stroking her bags and bless her, she is very polite about my little Radley!

QueenCadbury · 29/06/2013 00:18

I am very drunk. Hic.

I think amber is saving for a saint Laurent something ....

Did I mention that I'm very drunk. Luffs you all xx

Morning all! ( a special whisper to QueenC)Grin

I have missed loads! Especially bags and holidays. Why didn't the siren go off??!!Smile

On bags - I have about 50 (that as after a cull last year where I gave some awayBlush). I do have a bad habit of being obsessed for a while and then it goes into the bag cupboard, not to be seen for a year. Since ds turned 2, I have used the nappy bag a lot less, which means more choices on the weekend. Mil (who is uber stylish) is a bit of a bag fiend as well. Fil gets her a new bag each Christmas, and usually a purse as well. (He gets her about 15 presents and goes totally over the top. Dh seems to think this is the norm.Confused). Anyway, I digress, she has a 2.55 from a few Christmases ago and so somehow I have never wanted one.Blush

On holidays- this is dh's obsession. Hmm He is obsessed with travelling to all the places that were featured on the bbc's 50 places to see before you die. We have probably been to about 40 of them but that's been on hold the last 4.5 years with kids, and probably a few more years to come.

On gym's. Anni, I echo what everyone else said. I am a bit of a gym bunny. In an ideal world, I would go 5 times a week (sigh those pre-dc days). It's my escape to listen to 80s music for an hour while I exercise, so I am never looking at anyone else. Don't be put off x

Now....what to wear today???!...

shopafrolic · 29/06/2013 08:05

Morning all!
How's the head QueenC ? Brew
DH is in the doghouse. He went out last night for drinks after work and I asked him to come home quietly and sleep in the spare room so I could catch up on my ZZZZZZs. Cue 1.30am him trying to get into our bed saying "I'm not pissed". Cue me exiting to spare room. Not impressed. Best he gets up soon and looks after DS so I can have a quick look round the DR sale. I've only got my eye on two very basic things and unless they're significantly reduced I'm not buying. I need to curb my spending for a bit now.....

BrandyAlexander · 29/06/2013 08:06

Morning Shop! Why do men do that?!Smile

QueenCadbury · 29/06/2013 08:17

My head hurts! I wasn't meant to get so drunk as we're driving across to the other side of the country now!

Have good weekends everyone.

Oh, shop it's normally me that does that!

Morning everyone.

We have two very unexotic holidays planned for Summer: we are going to Yorkshire to visit DH's brother and wife and two little ones and then in August we are going to Devon to stay in a little hotel right on the beach. Main holiday this year is South Africa for a whole month in December, bliss. Can't wait Smile

Have happy Saturdays everyone.

shopafrolic · 29/06/2013 08:30

Morning Gwen hope you didn't have too broken a night's sleep?
