Grumpy I love Deauville. Visited there along with Honfleur and Le Touquet a few years back.
Whereabouts in Lanzarote Liberty? I stayed at Teguise and loved it. Lots of hair raising driving in the mountains. Papagayo beach in the SE is a must. I have only been to Dublin once but spent four nights at The Clarence. When Lou Reed (my hero) was there for a night....

We have a holiday to Southern France and Corsica- the Verdun Gorges and other such rock covered places then a boat to Corsica which is so romantically beautiful even though a lot of Corsicans hate us (tourists and mainland French especially). I'm aiming for a trip to Austin next year sometime including a road trip from a southern airport driving from or to Austin, maybe Alabama to Austin via Beau bridge as I have wanted to dance and eat at the Cajun Breakfasts held at the Beau bridge cafe in Louisiana for a long time now. And of course, New Orleans just happens to be on the way.....
Shop Hopefully the new job will bed in and a holiday will come your way soon. You likely need one too....
as it has been a hard old slog of a Winter in so many ways.
I travelled and lived abroad as a kid - Far East, central America and did the Europe via rail thing as a student. I want to do the big USA trip-at least 6 months out and plan to when DH NHS pension comes through in 2 years (he is able to retire at 55). I am also toying with buying a wreck in Sardinia and doing it up. Probably not to Frances Mayes standards (have you all seen her house in Tuscany? She has three now including a castle?).
Trying to find beach wear- costumes and a bikini and cover ups that don't make me look like a cut price Penelope Tree circa early 70's. I am not a wafty boho print kaftan-y girl. More the throw over T shirt dress type.
