soaccidentprone · 15/06/2013 20:56

So rlbg

Have you seen anything on this thread that fits your criteria and is in stock?

confusedmuch · 15/06/2013 23:31

I too am interested to see what op comes up with, methinks the following tools are perhaps missing from her current wardrobe;

fully fitted basque / slip, marilyn munro are great for curvy support and you need the right scaffolding to cease fearing strapless

Tit tape, to cement the lot to ya

A great seamstress because most clothes will not fit properly off the peg and you would be truly amazed at how many more styles will be available to you with just a little tailoring - a good stitchbitch will suggest alterations you may not have thought of so go with an open mind!

accessories to help tailor to your shape, belts and safety pins are your friend, be proud of norkage

I took ages to suss that clothes aren't made my shape and wish someone had told me about all of this sooner!

hoping your fairy godmother shows up soon...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/06/2013 23:42

Ye gads - those shoes look like giant marshmallows. Yikes.

I haven't got a basque, but the ones I've tried on before make my tits look huge - and that is precisely not what I want.

Re dresses - have seen maybe three that I will try on so far. I am super-fussy, I know - but it always turns out right in the end! I am just a natural (or unnatural) ditherer.

I do like the have I gone mad one, and perhaps a couple of the Coast ones. And if all else fails I have got a proper black silk ball gown (if it fits) or my Westwood. Or I'll wear a tux! :)

Can't do belts with a dress - too short waisted and they look monstrous.

You put the belt or a ribbon under your boobies with a full skirt to lengthen your waist and a fitted slip will give you all over smooth lines and appropriate scaffolding at the same time - also is quite comortable much more so than bra n spanx!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/06/2013 00:33

Honestly, it doesn't lengthen my waist - it just makes my norks look huge.

EliotNess · 16/06/2013 18:29

FC one goes to main page - its the Vienna one

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/06/2013 18:35

FC one lovely but prob a bit too high necked.
CC one too pale - I need either black, grey or something deep coloured I think.
I don't mind going long but it doesn't need to be - and remember that I am a shrimp.

OP posts:
EliotNess · 16/06/2013 18:44

so if its long it is petite then?

agree re paleness

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/06/2013 18:50

A bit too bodycon, I think.

PiratePanda · 16/06/2013 18:52

Seriously people. And maybe it's just because I have yo do this for work, but every woman of a professional age and stage should have in their wardrobe at least one full-length ballgown in a proper luxe fabric and flattering colour/shape, just like all men should own a dinner jacket and their own morning suit. If you buy carefully and look after properly, one beautiful ballgiwn should last most people many years.

So invest.

EliotNess · 16/06/2013 18:53

i disagree - dresses date - nothing is classic

EliotNess · 16/06/2013 18:54

KvassInTheNight · 16/06/2013 19:00
