whats the fuss all about and how do you do it. I am thinking of buying Marie Claire with the free Ciate set

OP posts:

Paint nails with base coat, then I do 2 coats of colour. Whilst its wet, tip the beads over wet nail (put a dish or something underneath!) and they stick to the wet nail polish
I use a square container to collect the excess as its easier to tip them back in. I only usually do one nail as well, usually ring finger

SirRaymondClench · 06/06/2013 22:35

I just bought this today and the Cookies and Cream colour is fab!! Its a pale beige and looks so good on. Haven't used the caviar bit yet though

SirRaymondClench · 06/06/2013 22:36

EMUZ would you put a top coat over that?

I did put a top coat on but not sure it made much difference
I got the Ciate advent calendar this Christmas just gone so I have a whole lot to play with Grin

BinksToEnlightenment · 06/06/2013 22:55

OhBuggerandArse - Jesus fucking Christ!

OhBuggerandArse · 06/06/2013 22:59

I'm serious! Some of these are really scary.

OhBuggerandArse · 06/06/2013 23:02

This makes me very anxious.

BinksToEnlightenment · 06/06/2013 23:02

I saw! There's not much that can make me feel sick, but that did.

It was oddly curious, but so so vile!

boogiewoogie · 06/06/2013 23:04

I'm sorry but it looks very strange. Reminds me of the beady liquorice allsort. Why would you do that to your nails anyway? They must come off really easily.

peasandlove · 07/06/2013 10:16

I'd never heard of trypophobia before but those pictures made the hair on my head stand on end.. eurgh!

LulaPalooza · 07/06/2013 12:58

Those pics are ICK!

Back to the OP... Ciate recommend that you don't use a top coat.

valiumredhead · 07/06/2013 15:38

Fucking hell I clicked on that link thinking it was about nails! not a lot makes my stomach turn but those pictures certainly did. Wish there had been a warning with that link.

Annianni · 07/06/2013 15:40

I couldn't sleep after looking at that link last night.
I still feel sick thinking about it and I couldn't stop itching.

valiumredhead · 07/06/2013 15:41

I didn't have trypophobia but I think I have just developed it, think anyone would after seeing those pics.

Wrt the OP, I quite like the nail thing :)

BinksToEnlightenment · 07/06/2013 15:45

I think I've developed it too. Every time I think of those pictures, I feel desperately sick.

Oh dear! Who needs horror films.

Annianni · 07/06/2013 15:45

Ditto what Valium said.

Annianni · 07/06/2013 15:48

And what Binks said.

Dh thought I was going bonkers last night, when I kept itching in bed.

Going to show him the link when he comes home, see how he likes it.

valiumredhead · 07/06/2013 15:49

I've asked MNHQ if there can be a warning before that link so it doesn't take anyone else by surprise.

Badvoc · 07/06/2013 15:50

Ewwww...they look like those manky liquorice all sorts!

Justfornowitwilldo · 07/06/2013 15:53

Thanks Valium

That was a bloody stupid and unpleasant thing to do OhBuggerAndArse

valiumredhead · 07/06/2013 15:57

I still don't know what that link had to do with trypopphopia Confused if it is a fear of clusters of holes.

valiumredhead · 07/06/2013 15:59

And for someone who has it you certainly managed to post a link well ohbugger

Sorry, this has really pissed me off/upset me!

Justfornowitwilldo · 07/06/2013 16:02

It freaked the hell out of me.

ElectricSoftParade · 07/06/2013 16:11

Blimey, I didn't think I had trypophobia but I do now Sad.

But back to the nail polish, I don't get it but I'm sure that's because I am an old gimmer.
