whats the fuss all about and how do you do it. I am thinking of buying Marie Claire with the free Ciate set

OP posts:
valiumredhead · 08/06/2013 14:38

Lougle- who knew? Well you would think she would have she had a phobiaConfused

Those photos are awful, and you wouldn't have to have a phobia to find them disturbing. I know they are photo shopped, doesn't make any difference at all.

MarshaBrady · 08/06/2013 16:14

Thanks Superiorcat, I still haven't looked.

SoTiredAgain · 08/06/2013 21:00

I actually clicked on that link the other day before the warning because it was late and I didn't actually understand what poster was saying.

It took me a couple of seconds to work it out what I was seeing and even though I clicked off it straight away, I have just found it hugely disturbing. 2 days later I still have not been able to get the images of my mind. I'm almost having panic attacks thinking about it. So, thank you for saying they are photoshopped because that makes me feel better - a little anyway.

50shadesofmeh · 09/06/2013 06:52

I took ages to click the link as I was so scared but it was fine, lol it must be because I see all sorts of wounds etc at work

valiumredhead · 10/06/2013 12:24

Wounds etc I can cope with!

I just had a horrible heart racy/panicky thing at the opticians when I was having my eyes tested . You know when you look at the black dots? That link came flooding back!

ProjectGainsborough · 10/06/2013 15:44

I keep getting flashbacks too. But the pictures are clearly the photoshopped imaginings of some strange and lonely person.

And I do not wish to be told otherwise.

Man alive, though. Just eiuw.

Fenton · 10/06/2013 15:58

Bloody hell, - I thought the warning was a joke from the OP, I mean like someone has seriously messed up their nail painting or summat - and OhBugger's post looks like she's spoofing too, -

I think the warning needs to be in a different colour so it's obvious that MNHQ have posted it.

I don't think I'll EVER click on a link again.

Nice one to have inflicted that on everyone else when you are so disturbed by them yourself Hmm

LoopyLooplaHoop · 10/06/2013 16:05

Oh dear. The warning drove me to open the thread, then to click. Urgh.

Yup said it didn't bother me up the thread and all day yesterday I kept thinking about it and how gross it was, I was feeding my daughter and her bottle had loads of bubbles and it reminded me of these pictures :-0 so horrible

usualsuspect · 10/06/2013 18:12

I'm not clicking, but I want to.

Somebody stop me, I do have trypopphobia though.

Trills · 10/06/2013 18:14

They're CGIed pictures of holes in stuff, with things in.

Amusingly interspersed with pictures of crumpets and sliced plants and honeycomb and pomegranetes.

It's basically what you get if you do a google image search for "phobia of holes".

If you have a phobia of holes then clearly that's not something that you want to look at.

You shouldn't google "dragon butter" either, by the way.

GobblersKnob · 10/06/2013 18:17

Don't look at the link, don't know exactly why because I have a strong stomach, but they are very disturbing.

However I don't think you are a mnetter until you have googled dragon butter Grin

Trills · 10/06/2013 18:18

A tip - if you hover your mouse pointer over a link and look at the bottom of your borwser, you can see where the link goes.

So the "scary link" you can see goes to www.google.co.uk/search?q=phobia+of+holes (and a bunch of stuff) so you can guess that it's a google search for "phobia of holes"

This link goes to i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/terry-wogan-trouse (and a bunch of stuff) so you can guess that it's from the Telegraph and might feature TWC.

valiumredhead · 10/06/2013 18:49

You wouldn't think that a phobia of holes would be that awful link though. Crumpets, drains etc yes but not what is in that link.

valiumredhead · 10/06/2013 18:50

The fact that it's so shocking is because a, it's nothing to do with style and beauty and b, or a phobia of holes.

cardamomginger · 10/06/2013 19:00

I clicked. I read all the warnings. And I clicked. My hair is standing on end just thinking about it. I think most are faked. But still. And I have a strong stomach. It's making me remember all sorts of other skin-crawling stuff that I had successfully isolated in the section of my brain marked Do Not Open. For the love of all that is holy, why, why, why, why did I click!!!!

Fuck.

usualsuspect · 10/06/2013 19:12

Oh my, I so want to click.

valiumredhead · 10/06/2013 19:14

This really needs to be deleted, the warnings will make people want to click.

Usual,I have a strong stomach and an pretty hard core but the link plays really nasty mind tricks, it's fucking awful and shouldn't still be there.

BunnyLebowski · 10/06/2013 19:16

I can only assume I'm not seeing the same content as you lot when I click that link because.....

Panic attacks?

Unable to sleep?

Deeply disturbing?

Confused Hmm

I had no idea MN was so delicate. And gullible as most of the really not that shocking pictures are quite clearly fake.

cardamomginger · 10/06/2013 19:17

Fuck. Now want to google dragon butter. Oh shit.

usualsuspect · 10/06/2013 19:17
usualsuspect · 10/06/2013 19:18

Is it the girl one? With the holes in her skin?

DingbatsFur · 10/06/2013 19:23

Ooo that made my tongue feel odd for some reason.

Ezza1 · 10/06/2013 19:25

I'm with you Bunny. I'm not quite sure whats so bad about the link.

Unless MN is full of trippy phobics. Or whatever.
