linus and marsha good call on the trio, divine bag and easy to carry,i have the luggage and its a nightmare pushing a buggy or chasing a toddler while carrying it,i bought on the spot, without thinking rationally,i dont use it as much as i like Sad.

FaddyPeony · 07/06/2013 12:22

Morning all,

Just popping back in to report back on the Zoe Karssen T-shirts. Love them all - so soft and thin and silky and the two brights (red and blue) really work with my colouring. The grey one is great too - slim and extra long. Delighted with them, they'll do well under a neat little blazer and slot perfectly into my (slubby, work-from-home) wardrobe.

shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 12:23

Foxy's pants have arrived - they look perfect. In a plain, nude short kind of way. Thanks!

Morning everyone, loving the Celine bags - so beautiful. My stylist friend - she of fabulous fur coat at school drop off fame - has this one. I have to stop myself stroking it and leaving grubby prints each time I see her with it Grin

I am still in gym kit, have the afternoon at my disposal as school pick ups are all covered Smile. I desperately need new underwear, bras in particular - realised after buying the white vest from Zadig that I don't even own a white bra Shock. Don't know if I can face the tedium of trying on hundreds though, which I always have to do to get the right fit. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and get myself to Rigby & Peller - anyone done it?

shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 12:51

Hey Sleep - how nice to have a clear afternoon. I don't own a white bra either - I always wear flesh toned bras under white vests (Not that I wear white anymore). White shows up more..... I've always fancied a trip to Rigby and Peller.......... would love to hear your experience if you do go.

Novice I think the Magnolia staff now think I'm crazy! I asked them to order the 'carrie' necklace for me then spent ages looking at other stuff and trying on etc, then realised that I should try on the 'carrie' necklace and once it was on I realised that I would feel totally self conscious wearing a necklace with my name on it!! So I asked the girl to cancel the order - she gave me such a 'you time wasting nut' look that I got all flustered and ran off without buying anything Blush Such an idiot...

I liked a lot of it though so next time I will be more decisive and actually get something.

shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 12:52

Novice your DH sounds fabulously understanding of a woman's urge to shop! Good luck with rehearsals, you'll be amazing - you care too much about it not to be!

Would anyone like this MICHAEL Michael Kors leopard print top?

I have only worn it a few times - does not work on me. I have just spent 10 mins in the loo at work rearranging it - note to self - no more cowl necks! It's a generous medium size. PM me if interested - it can go to a loving and appreciative home for cost of P&P.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 07/06/2013 13:04

Linus - Celine trapeze bags in the supermarket! It betrays your continental whereabouts.

I have just returned from a brief trip into town for bank and post office and have decided that, as a general rule, British people just can't dress for warm weather. It may be different in the cities, but in my nondescript market town there were some sights to behold. And far more reddened shoulders and upper arms than anyone ought to be subjected to.

Annianni · 07/06/2013 13:12

Good luck Novice.

I don't suit Pistols
They are a little too snug round my ankle, but then there's too much flappy leather on the front bit.
They are beautiful irl though.

I am a little bit relieved though :o

The Splendid tee is quite nice in a faded slouchy kind of way and looks nice layered over a white vest with my Goldsign Diva's which i've finally got round to wearing.

And the By Malene Birger vest is quite nice too.

Whistles stripe tee came the other day, and it'll be useful I think.

Oh Liberty, you seem to be having a crappy week.
Are you ok? Wine

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 07/06/2013 13:13

Please talk me out of these

Annianni · 07/06/2013 13:17

:o at Novices' dh liking the shoes.

My dh came home yesterday and asked if i'd cut my shorts a little shorter...

I told him I really didn't think that dsd would be impressed if I looked like this.

Annianni · 07/06/2013 13:18

Grumpy, my grandma had a plastic tablecloth that looked like those shoes...

Does that work?

shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 13:24

Not my cup of tea at all Grumpy sorry.

MarshaBrady · 07/06/2013 13:25

Oh my eyes Anni! Those shorts. There's some hum dingers on there. I like your tops.

Grumpy 70s wicker basket?

Liberty I'm afraid that top would not suit me at all, I can see why it would take a lot of fiddling to get right.

LinusDKD · 07/06/2013 13:46

Grumpy add a 't' to the name and you'll go off them immediately, unless your name is Pauline.

Santa Envy about the luggage!

Novice what is it about men and really high heels?

Liberty lovely top but I'm not sure it would suit me. I have a confession to make: I don't own anything animal print whatsoever. I'm just not brave enough.

shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 13:47

Political satire on S&B - how very highbrow! :)

I am relatively new to Mumsnet but have spent the last 13 years on other forums. Very glad to have found this thread. Grin

As you were.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 07/06/2013 13:55

Thank you all. I had already managed to go off them just by revisiting them once or twice. Had a red-plastic-flower-necklace moment for a bit there Grin

What I do want are yellow flats. I will entertain all varieties but would like them to be quite bright, I think. The challenge is on.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 07/06/2013 14:00

Blush Blush Blush

Forget the yellow flats. I just remembered I bought yellow sandals yesterday.

I'm going for a lie down now.

shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 14:17

You can't just swan in and say things like that without telling us a bit about you and your wardrobe primallass. We won't bite I promise!
Grumpy they're reduced!!!

Grumpy is in a shoe frenzy!

This thread goes so fast I forget what to comment on by the time I come to post. Shall have to check thread more often.

Speaking of shoes. Thought I'd let you know about these. The fill the boring gap for plain black, comfortable (3in block heel), let something-else-take-centre-stage heels. They are totes synthetic but £30 and do the job well.

I bought some amazing sandals in TK Maxx yesterday (I am no longer a TK virgin!). I can't find them on the website. They are a brand I've never heard of before 'XTI Territory'. They look a lot like peep toe espadrilles but without espadrille sole iyswim. They are slingback, with a silver strap at the back and grey glitter on the main part of the foot. I so love them I really wanted to show you all but can't find a picture.

shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 14:21

No reply on Twitter about last night's dress by the way! Sorry. I tried.....

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 07/06/2013 14:24

Anni with regards boots, did you try Ash Jalouse and Ash Spiral? I can't remember.......
