I have read lots of threads about this kit and people seem to rave about it to reduce the frizziness in hair but I remember reading a while back that some contain formaldehyde and I concerned that this one contains it. I have read the ingredients but am unsure if formaldehyde goes by other chemical names?
Just worried I'll do damage to myself for the sake of frizz free hair.
Any ideas?

It certainly hasn't left mine poker straight euphemia. still quite wavy and thick but smoother and not frizzy.

primalass, the three days was my big fear but it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. wasn't half as greasy as I thought it would be. I did look like I had a helmet on on the last day but the previous two days were fine.

Pantone363 · 20/06/2013 16:12

Ok have just done mine.

It's very very straight and no frizz at all. Very swishy! My friend did it for me, about 3hrs in all (v long hair) and I've got enough for another treatment left.

It's already bugging me having it down though

DisappointedHorse · 21/06/2013 19:59

I'm about to spend £30 I don't have thanks to this thread!

My hair is wavy but not in a nice way. It's uneven and incredibly fluffy. I can't leave it to dry on it's own or even leave the house without straightening unless I want to look like a farm animal.

I have used every product on the market without success, except this!

One question though, I wake up with my hair vertical every day. Do you remember the Gorilla hair advert? That's me. Can I wet it, dry it and re-straighten?

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 21/06/2013 21:24

No don't wet it but you can re straighten.

Hopasholic · 21/06/2013 22:16

Well I've just left mine to dry naturally tonight and I would definitely be able to get away with it like this for work! Yay!

Next experiment will be trying it with the babyliss big hair.

Post Treatment Top tips:
Remember you can't dunk your hair in the bath water to wet it if you have bubble bath in it.

Shampoo it twice each wash. The second shampoo foams up the first one doesn't. ( make sure you use the sodium free stuff & products)

Don't use as much conditioner as you did when you had a frizz bomb. Your gorgeous new locks don't need it!

Not a tip but I've been looking at 'up-do' videos on YouTube as it always seemed a waste straightening or curling it to put it up. But now I can as I have frizz free Barnett Grin

Oreo have ye blooming done it yet? < stern look Grin

macandcheesewithbaconbits · 21/06/2013 22:32

Just done mine- can I keep it in an Alice band in bed?

Hopasholic · 21/06/2013 22:57

Would advise against it as it may well stay that way!

primallass · 23/06/2013 09:05

I did mine yesterday. I straightened it a bit again this morning to sort out the bed head. I am dreading the next two days but at least we are forecast rain so I can wear my hood up on the school run Smile

I think I will wear a claw clip if I have to see people and straighten it again straight away.

The condition of my hair is so much better already (it was a straw-like mess). I am hoping this gets it past the chin-shoulder length growing nightmare.

Purpleknickers · 25/06/2013 10:33

Update on mine 4/5 weeks on its still easier to manage plus a HUGE bonus I went to a very humid country on holiday and it did not frizz once.

Usually I spend ages blow drying it and then as soon as I go outside it frizzes. This year because of the treatment I did not bother blow drying just embraced my waves and left to dry naturally with a bit of serum without sodium and it actually looked ok.

I cannot recommend this product enough

primallass · 25/06/2013 10:54

That's good to hear PK.

I am counting down the minutes until I can wash mine. It will be an hour short of the 72 as I can't face the pm school run looking like this. Blush

primallass · 25/06/2013 14:00

Well all I can say is WOW Grin

So worth it. I could have gone out without ghd-ing it, and I haven't touched my fringe, which has been my nemesis forever. I only ran the straighteners through a few bits after drying, whereas before Saturday I was having to hold them on some bits to stop them sticking out.

oreoaddict · 26/06/2013 10:24

prima Smile You must be happy with that.

hopas I've not done it yet, no Blush I have been trying to find a mobile hairdresser who would do it for me, but had no luck. I think I'm ordering it today though.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 26/06/2013 11:35

prima, i agree re the fringe. it's like i have new hair. for me, it is by no means straight i still have to ghd it but no frizz, more shine, so manageable and i don't have to worry about weather.

oreoaddict · 26/06/2013 13:59

coco has your hair lost any of it's curl? I don't want it poker straight, but I'd like to lose the majority if I'm being honest.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 26/06/2013 16:16

yes all curl has gone but it definitely isn't poker straight. still thick and volumised Smile

janmoomoo · 26/06/2013 17:35

Loving that you are all loving this product. I can do the whole treatment in under and hour now. I am happy to go to work with it on for the first day, so usually do on thursday night, go to work Friday, then wash off Monday morning. Its not poker straight but it is frizz free and utterly fabulous dahling!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 26/06/2013 19:27

can't click your link but judging the description yes it is Smile

oreoaddict · 26/06/2013 19:57

Damn! That didn't work did it Grin So it's the one with the lady with blonde hair who looks likes she's using her hair as a scarf?.....

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 26/06/2013 19:58

yes Smile

oreoaddict · 26/06/2013 20:34

Ordered! Smile

oreoaddict · 26/06/2013 20:36

Fingers crossed I'll be joining your swishy, shiny gorgeous hair group, girls Grin

freddiefrog · 26/06/2013 20:40

I've got my eye on this too

Can I just ask those who use it, does it make your hair quite flat? I have fine and lifeless hair and when my hairdresser straightens it, it looks flat. I need to Babyliss big hair it with lots of mousse for volume.

oreoaddict · 26/06/2013 20:45

Freddie, whereas I haven't tried it yet, I would suggest that if you have fine hair, it's probably not for you. Do you have curly hair? I think it makes your hair quite flat for the first 3 days before you can wash your hair. What is it you're hoping to get out of it?

freddiefrog · 26/06/2013 20:53

I just want straight smooth swishy hair, but I need some volume at the roots

I can live with the first 3 days, I just don't want to end up with the straightened helmet-look that I get when my hairdresser straightens it
