Continuing from here...

OP posts:
Annianni · 29/05/2013 18:01

Thanks Foxy. I need to contact AR and see what they say.

Liberty, are you there?
House of Fraser have got up to 40% off brands, including Whistles this time, and there's some leather jackets included.
Not sure which one you wanted though.

The reductions are online now and in-store tomorrow.
Think it's a 2 day event.

Shop's lovely grey sweatshirt is reduced there too, can't remember who wanted one though.

shopafrolic · 29/05/2013 18:23

And the Jessica dress is reduced too...... Sad

shopafrolic · 29/05/2013 18:27

So Matches have emailed back:
^As we did not carry the J Brand Croft Style last season therefore I am
unable to confirm that these are the same.^
So I'm guessing they are the same. Will wait to see if J Brand themselves come back to me.......

foxysocks · 29/05/2013 18:32

Hmm shop! Evasive from matches, makes me think they could be same too. I love them btw, would consider for myself if I knew size for sure.

Anni AR will probs have to go to ash hq I think, unless are still in stock and can provide immediate replacement? That's would I would ask for tbh, getting mine was such an effing palaver with Anna.

I was considering the whistles quilted sweat skirt but have the wang instead now . Am def wearing on SR next week with vejas and tee, I bet my extremely conservative frenemy will NOT like it!

Annianni · 29/05/2013 18:39

Oh, I passed a takeaway yesterday on the way to the butterfly house...

Called 'Mr Wang's'

I did giggle and think of you lot.

MarshaBrady · 29/05/2013 18:55

Lol Anni that made me laugh.

Foxy wear it, wear with pride Grin.

shopafrolic · 29/05/2013 19:16

Grin Anni
Just a thought. Matches have free delivery in May. In theory could I order the cargo pants from Matches, try them on for size - send them back free of charge and then order from Shopbop?

LinusDKD · 29/05/2013 19:17

I might have to get myself some Wang if all of you keep mentioning him/it! Grin

foxy I would be tempted to wear the things your frenemy dislikes all at once, just to annoy her.

So far nothing is tempting me in the HoF sale. My credit card is breathing a sigh of relief.

Annianni · 29/05/2013 19:31

Good idea Shop, I've been debating doing that with the R&B boots.

Sleepwhenidie · 29/05/2013 20:03

Hi everyone from still wet Spain. We haven't moved from the disappointing house, the sun keeps popping out to taunt us, persuading us out to the garden and into the (heated) pool then the wind picks up and clouds roll in and in we come again Grin.

We went into Girona today, had a lovely lunch but a monumental rainstorm set in so our little walk around afterwards was not very pleasant. I was wearing my Ash studded sandals which slipped on the Cathedral steps, luckily I managed to miraculously keep my balance, it would not have been pretty otherwise. After that I picked up a pair of NB's, something I didn't think I was in the market for but I now love as they will keep my feet dry(ish) and warm(ish) compared to my other footwear here (sandals, havs and white supergas). I also dashed into Massimo Dutti and found this parka which I bought and wore out of the shop, I am particularly pleased with this as I paid 80 euros, quite a saving on UK price Shock Smile. Think I overpaid on the NB's (£70) but we'll brush over that and only mention the saving on the coat for DH's benefit Grin.

I got very excited about the gigis too, until I saw p&p at checkout Shock

foxy the wang skirt sounds great, definitely a good idea to wear all your most out there items at once for your frenemySmile

amber the Issa dress is fab, what a find!

I am a member of the sleep deprived club too. DD no problem but the boys are a nightmare, both wake regularly at night, even my nearly 8 year old comes into us about four nights a week Sad. It's a killer.

MIL's birthday tomorrow, we are getting the train into Barcelona for the day. Luckily she likes shopping too so DH will have to just put up with us disappearing into a few shops Smile, sure the lovely tapas bars and cava will soften the blow Grin.

LinusDKD · 29/05/2013 20:11

sleep if you have any time to yourself and fancy a massage, I can really recommend this spa.

Mas de Torrent

We stayed at that hotel pre DC and the massages at the spa are wonderful and the food in the two hotel restaurants is delicious.

Sleepwhenidie · 29/05/2013 20:22

Very tempting Linus, a massage would be amazing. Somehow I can't see FIL and DH being thrilled at the prospect of keeping 3 DC's entertained in the city centre whilst MIL and I swan off to a spa Grin. Will keep a note in case DH ever go back without the kids though!

shopafrolic · 29/05/2013 20:30

Foxy meant to say, glad you had a good night last night.
I have an NCT girl's night out on Sat and am v excited!

BrandyAlexander · 29/05/2013 20:33

Great to hear from you Sleep.

Sorry to hear so many of us in sleep deprivation hellSad it is when I do my best browsing!

liberty prep going v slowly. 2 days at home and I haven't got much further as everything takes so long. It took me hours to write a 45 sec link slot. Also having stresses with someone who wants to tell rather than advise. So overall Sad

On scrubs, I have dry skin and once a week do a honey and oat body shop mask, a weekly kiehls papaya and pineapple scrub, twice weekly kiehls ultra facial cleanser and Liz Earle C&P 3 times a week and at night. Sounds nuts but I think my skin is in its best condition in years. I have built up using each product though rather than change all at once. Happens rarely but if I get a spot or feel skin doesn't need extra hydration i switch masks to a different body shop one and also switch creams from kiehls creme d'elegance to Liz Earle light repair cream. Hope that helps!

santamarianovella · 29/05/2013 20:34

shop thats a very vague reply!

ani Grin .

foxy yy to shocking your frenemy!

shopafrolic · 29/05/2013 20:48

Sleep heated pools sound lovely, rain or no rain! Well done on keeping your balance! I'm famed for going A over T in public. Last time in a department store when I fell of my Ash Jalouse. Hope the NB work out and I love the parka - what a bargain!
I think I'm going to order the cargo pants from Matches in a couple of sizes and then go from there as returns and delivery will be free.....

MarshaBrady · 29/05/2013 20:53

I going out out on Saturday night too, friend's party, am looking forward to it! What to wear.

MarshaBrady · 29/05/2013 20:53

am.

libertychick · 29/05/2013 21:00

Oh thank you for letting me know Anni - it's the Brando one I liked and it's there in my size with 20% off - which isn't bad....but I have been debating it a lot and only yesterday decided that I would try and save a bit more and only buy clothes with surplus cash I have in hand rather than on credit card as I seem to be always running behind and have paid interest on the CC the last few months which is something I want to stop doing. So for now I will leave it - yesterday I concluded that biker's are a classic and there are always some around so I can leave it for a couple of months.

Sorry to hear the work is such a drag Novice - it's amazing how long some things take to do - the time spent on it will pay off though - it's all mulling away in your brain and inspiration will hit in the bath or while you are cooking! Other people and their points of view are always a bloody nuisance! I have one client ATM who is a real control freak - I find calling him before he is likely to call me and asking him for his opinion/advise on something specific works to make him feel involved and that he has shaped it all.

Foxy your outfit today sounds fab.
Sleep I always go slightly crazy in MD and Zara when I am in Spain - great price for that parka. I love my NB's too - so, so comfy.

Drywhiteplease · 29/05/2013 21:02

Liberty £24 p + p Shock . Can't believe you remembered my wardrobes!! You all must think I'm completely annually retentive !!! I'm actually very laid back just a bit OCD

Shop happy shopping in Barcelona

I feel for you all with your night walkers/early risers...It does get better, you will one day sleep .....and then you just can't get them out of bed Grin I do miss the night time cuddles though

libertychick · 29/05/2013 21:04

Envy at all the upcoming nights out!
My next big night out is Bruce Springsteen at Wembley with a friend on 15th June Grin

shopafrolic · 29/05/2013 21:09

Sleep is in Barcelona Dry. I just wish I was :)

libertychick · 29/05/2013 21:12

Dry I remembered the wardrobe as I am in awe - I seem to be constantly organising my wardrobe and yet it always looks like a bomb has hit it and I can't find anything.

And actually I have a v good memory - I sometimes edit what I say here as I remember things people said 3 threads ago and worry that if I reference it, I will sound stalker-ish!

But can never find my keys Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 29/05/2013 21:34

Drywhite I'm so pleased those Gigis aren't available in my size as I already paid full price for them
Linus I completely luuurve that throw. I will be monitoring it for reduction too...
I'm almost afraid to check the HoF website after the damage I've done during the past few days and not one but two trips to Bicester.
Anyhoo....The Newbury boots are fab. They are slightly outside my comfort zone (skinny ankles), but I love them all the same. The colour is gorgeous and they're very funky. I think they'll look great with off-white Baxters and navy Tippi sweater. I've also bought loafers which may take a bit of wearing in as they're quite stiff, but they're so nice to look at, it'll be worth it. At Bicester I went a bit mad in Coach, buying a hot pink wristlet bag, a pink/cream/black/tan handbag and hot pink scarf, which looks great tied up as a headband and hanging loose down the back, a la Sofia Loren. I also bought a nice navy blazer in French Connection (safe but versatile) and these shoes which I got for £75. Still awaiting delivery of my Michael Kors watch, Lilly Pulitzer clutch, Theory blouse and wayf track pants. It's been like christmas! (But it's almost my birthday, so I'm allowed).
Going to my favourite restaurant for dinner tomorrow night too, so it's been a fun week.

Annianni · 29/05/2013 21:37

Good thinking Liberty.

There are a couple of things I like in the HoF sale but I do think that they'll be cheaper when the proper sales start.

Ds2 is asleep in his lovely new bed, but he will wake at some point... anytime between 10-30 and 1, wanting a cuddle... off me, not dh.
And he will scream the house down if dh dares to cuddle him instead of me.

If he sleeps in our bed, he'll sleep all night but dh and I won't due to being kicked and me having my hair pulled, and tied in knots Hmm

He's slept through in his cot, about half a dozen times in his life.
