It's all my own!Grin thanks all....but if you could see me now ( still in bed, no make up, pjs) you would say otherwise!

foxysocks · 28/05/2013 08:58

What do you guys think to these? Have been looking for tan/snake flat sandals but do you Reckon they would look as cheap as they are?!

www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2897974

QueenCadbury · 28/05/2013 09:02

foxy for the amount you'll wear them this summer I'm beginning to wonder whether it's worth spending much more than that on sandals! Maybe the rain will have stopped by time you go out tonight ? Where are you going for dinner.

Oh, and does your dh fancy coming and taking my dc out too Grin?!!

santamarianovella · 28/05/2013 09:04

Morning all,
linus, your outfit sounds great!and your right so nice to to enjoy a child free meal,
dry I can't see youSad
queen That's great , jillian's app is amazing too, lots of tips and good meal plans.

shopafrolic · 28/05/2013 09:11

Morning all! My car has finally gone in for repair today after that accident and they've given me a 2 seater car as a courtesy car. So that'll be a nightmare with DS!
Raining here too. I wouldn't risk suede in this weather Foxy. Amber blogged about those sandals a while back - she might know?
Dry I realised I only commented on your necklace! You look v pretty, and I know everyone said it but you do have great hair - very chic :)

QueenCadbury · 28/05/2013 09:24

dry I've finally managed to upload the photo that I took in the toilet after having my hair done on Saturday .

santamarianovella · 28/05/2013 09:43

queen I love your cut!and it really suits you.

And I can see shop yay! Your gorgeous and you ds is sooooo cute!

foxy, it's nice but they look very thin, might not be very comfortable for walking long distances.

Matches finally sent me a codeGrin.

Annianni · 28/05/2013 09:49

Happy Anniversaries Linus and Foxy.

Can you let me know what the sizing is like when you get the Newbury's Grumpy.
I need to find some irl to try.
Might email R&B later.

Foxy, did you have a problem with some Ash Virgin's in the past?

My Virgo's are starting to split on one foot, the rubber trim is coming away from the leather, at the bit where my foot bends.

Not amused as they weren't cheap.
Need to contact AR and see what they say.

MrsRadicchio · 28/05/2013 09:54

Hi all, Dry I can't see you either.

Outfit sounds lovely Linus and what a treat to go to a restaurant - in the evening, and without DC! Am envious.

Lovely shopping Novice love the MK dress, and the caged sandals - but way too high for me.

Foxy I like the look of those sandals, agree with QueenC you might not be getting much wear out of them. I am trying not to buy any this year as I have loads and they barely ever get worn.

Loved amber's blog post on flat sandals though, makes it v tempting to get some new ones. Amber when did you get the boden leopard ones?

A few bits on the outnet I like (but not in my size)

charles philip shanghai leopard flats

penelope chilvers

Grumpy I like the look of the rag and bone boots, let us know how they are when they arrive. I was also excited to hear of a concession opening up at bicester, it is not too far from my ILs, will have to plan a trip there soon. these are the ones I'm after.

Just on a random note, it is v hard to find grey boots. I've been keeping my eye out for a pair for ages, but nothing.

I am considering purchasing a pair of Ilse jacobsen boots for the weather.

Good luck to all those looking after DC this half term. I do find it so hard when it is raining!

Sleep hope your holiday has improved - have you moved to Barcelona or stayed put? You would have thought you could escape the bad weather in Spain!

Annianni · 28/05/2013 10:01

Lovely haircut QueenC.

BrandyAlexander · 28/05/2013 10:19

Morning gorgeous ladies! (Very true as I have met Shop, Marsha and Sleep who are gorgeous, and Dry and QueenC who are also gorgeousSmile). I am working from home the next couple of days to work on my big work thing (politician and actress related). I am hoping that on the first evening (dinner) I can wear the MK dress and the caged sandals. I have to stand up and speak for a few minutes. The shoes will be fierce Grin.

My 2 stresses on the clothes I bought are firstly, I did a guess on sizes, so I bought some as 6 and some 8. I desperately hope I have guessed right. In hindsight I should have bought in each and returned the one that was too big. Second, since dh doesn't know yet how i used my rest time, I am hoping they deliver next Monday as he's away in the Far East for the whole week from Sunday! We did a big charity clear out yesterday so lets just leave him content for a while.

AmberNectarine · 28/05/2013 10:24

Good memory shop. I like those sandals a lot, and I have a good hit rate with cheap leather high st sandals. My TS neons were £25 and brilliant and I know a lot of people raves about the warehouse Gigi alikes last summer.

QueenCadbury · 28/05/2013 10:49

Thanks all, you're too kind. I read dmbl40 last night and she picked up some r&b boots in Bicester.

I've just taken delivery of a next order. You really can't beat them for delivery as I only ordered last night. I need something pink for my mums birthday but don't really need anything so didn't want to spend too much so I got this. Cheap, great colour and great fit so am very happy. Ds,on the other hand isn't quite so happy with the pink tee I bought for him Grin.

QueenCadbury · 28/05/2013 10:52

novice I've pm'd you.

AmberNectarine · 28/05/2013 11:06

Oh, am wearing my £10 Issa today - blog post to follow!

BrandyAlexander · 28/05/2013 11:37

Wow Amber. Looking forward to that! (Also another gorgeous womanSmile)

I am in an orange sweater, grey superdry trackies with pink stripes and slippers todayGrin

Those summer warehouse sandals look great but I have entirely given up on summer!

QueenC, pm'd you back.

By the way, thank you all so much for all the advice when we started ds' settling in at nursery. He did a mini cry for 10 seconds today, I left and he was absolutely fine.

BrandyAlexander · 28/05/2013 13:26

Okay, a ridiculous dilemma but.....

I bought these Brian Atwood cage sandals yesterday. They are 4" which is my max heel height. But I have just realised that http://www.matchesfashion.com/product/139409 these givenchy ones are 3.5". Originally, I really liked the these manolos but gave them a miss because they are 4.25" heel height.

Price wise, the manolos and atwoods are the same but givenchy is about a third more.

I think the Atwood ones are the nicer than the givenchy ones. Aren't they? [pleading emoticon]

AmberNectarine · 28/05/2013 13:40

Hmm it's a tough one but I marginally prefer the Atwoods to the Givenchy. Don't like the Manolos, shoes like that need to be fierce.

santamarianovella · 28/05/2013 14:09

Thanks dry your gorgeous ! i agree with everyone you have lovely hair.

im with amber novice, brian atwoods are the best out of the three.

dd is napping and im about to have a good look at matches, queen and mrsR your both right and i wont be buying any sandals either , will use what i already have.

i might get another pair of flats. i only have 2 atm,one is still in very good shape despite being 2 years old,and the other is the macqueen one, which i love but cant use everyday.

will report later!

MrsRadicchio · 28/05/2013 14:15

Dry, you look lovely! Everyone looks so pretty...i'm impressed by how young everyone looks. I'm at least 5 years younger than most of you but look about ten years older!

Actually I want to start using a peel, has anyone tried one?

(also want to try Botox but that won't happen til I'm earning my own money again!)

MrsRadicchio · 28/05/2013 14:17

Can't see your links novice (it may be my rubbish phone at fault though) but liked the Atwood ones you linked before.

LinusDKD · 28/05/2013 14:23

I prefer the Brian Atwood ones as well. And I am put off by the feet wearing the Givenchy ones. If you're going to show a close-up of shoes the least you can do is make sure the model has had a pedicure.

MrsR what about these ones from Jigsaw? I have been lusting after them but find it too risky to buy shoes online as returns are a pain when you live abroad.

jigsaw

shopafrolic · 28/05/2013 14:37

MrsR if my skin ever gets bad I usually have a microdermabrasion and light peel. I've had two since I turned 40 in Nov, the seem to work for me. Like being sandblasted but skin is lovely and soft afterwards, no redness or downtime.
Elemis papaya peel also good to use at home.....
Novice really pleased the nursery situation has improved, a relief for you with everything else you have going on. I prefer the Atwoods too.

AmberNectarine · 28/05/2013 14:43

Agree you look great drywhite. I best you're one of life's tidy people who never looks dishevelled! I seem to morph from groomed to tramp on my commute everyday.

MrsRadicchio · 28/05/2013 15:21

Thanks Linus - should have mentioned, I don't want them to be suede. Those are v nice though.

Thanks Shop will look at the elemis peel.

Keep meaning to look at that sizzle thread from way back. Think that is hard core peeling though!!
