QueenC, definitely the length in the second photo. You are gorgeous, and what a beautiful complexion.

Now I just need to see Sleep's kitchen!

I laughed at your shopping scenarios, Drywhite. Dd2 is almost 2 and keeps saying to me, "I need money". Why I don't know. What will be like as a teenager!

OP posts:
MrsRadicchio · 23/05/2013 23:08

What shop was it, McNally - can you name and shame?

I'd love to see your pics, queenc

Decameron · 23/05/2013 23:10

That's so rude, Mcnally, ignore. I was buying jeans when dd2 was about 6 weeks old and the sales assistant told me I'd look better in them if I lost weight! I was holding Dd2 at the time, also was back to my normal weight, it wasn't going to improve! Some sales technique.

OP posts:
libertychick · 23/05/2013 23:13

McNally that is awful - how rude - which shop was it? As a fellow size 12 I will avoid!!!

Thanks to you and Decam for the Whistles feedback. I really want the jacket - it was a perfect fit in the 12, good on the shoulders and fitted over a vest and I&I cashmere jumper. DH a bit Shock though at £300 for a jacket - probably a mistake to try in front of him Smile. I think on cost per wear though I could justify it.

Sleepwhenidie · 23/05/2013 23:41

QueenC another vote for length on pic2 - v pretty!

Liberty - so sorry I missed you off, rectified now! Have also updated my photos a bit (left the kitchen on, I dip into property & DIY now and again Smile)

Gotta run, DH has just disapprovingly gone off to bed as I jumped on here Grin

McNally · 23/05/2013 23:42

It was in Selfridges Liberty and MrsR, so bit hard to avoid shopping there! I did actually quite like the jacket but as Decam says, some sales technique, so she wasn't going to get any commission. Thought about buying it elsewhere but wasn't in the mood by then. Am most annoyed that it bothered me.

A leather jacket is one of those items where you have to splash out a bit I think to get the quality that will wear well (and do can be justified on a CPW basis!).

LinusDKD · 24/05/2013 06:41

Good morning! DS decided that 5 a.m. was an appropriate time to wake up this morning. Yawn.

McNally that sales assistant was so rude. And stupid because now she missed out on a sale.

Sleep how was the exhibition? Oh, can I also see your kitchen? We bought a house last year and whilst the kitchen is ok for the time being we would like to change it eventually.

QueenC your hair in the second photo looks gorgeous, the cut and the colour. Many women spend £££ at the hairdressers to get hair like yours!

As I wear a lot of navy and white at the moment I am looking for some red flats and a red scarf but so far haven't managed to find any that I like. Any ideas?

Drywhiteplease · 24/05/2013 07:00

McNally horrid, idiot sales lady. Try to ignore her, twit
Sleep lovely kitchen, beautiful children, outfit no1 would be most suitable for the races IMO !Grin
Has the hurricane come to England?!!!!!!!!ds on overnight ferry (school trip) poor sod!Grin mean mum

LinusDKD · 24/05/2013 07:16

Oh I can see your kitchen on my Ipad sleep. Maybe I didn't scroll down enough on my Iphone earlier.Blush

It is stunning and your children are gorgeous!

Sleepwhenidie · 24/05/2013 07:17

Good morning everyone!

Linus and mrsradicchio I have added you as mates, sorry I missed you first time Blush

grumpy glad you like the outfit...I was a bit tipsy when I uploaded that last night, maybe I should change it to reflect my more typical style or I might be kicked out on grounds of not just lack of style but also over-reliance on synthetic fabrics Grin

Ignore the shop assistants, what numpties...

McNally · 24/05/2013 07:40

Gorgeous photos Sleep. Think the outfit in number one looks perfect for the school run Grin.

Would love to see your photos too QueenC?

Drywhiteplease · 24/05/2013 07:50

Sleep no, leave the outfit on...it says good things about what you're like Smile

OneLittleLady · 24/05/2013 08:22

Thanks for the compliments on the photo ladies Thanks I'm unable to shred for the next few weeks as I dislocated both my shoulder and wrist yesterday. I fell over in town when it was wet and landed funny on my bad side. I'm both bandaged and in a sling. Luckily I have a good collection of cheap oversized scarves that make good slings so I can attempt to look stylishly injured Grin

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 24/05/2013 09:17

Oh no OneLittle You are in the wars atm Sad

I agree re gorgeous kitchen and children Sleep. Love it that you're in disguise posting photos!

McNally That sales assistant is a total cowbag, and what clothes line doesn't make a 12? Sometimes I'm glad I'm so high street Grin

Your poor DS Dry. I bet it's a vom fest on that ferry!

No S&B news from me. This awful weather has left me sartorially despondent. Not even the thought of Gatsby and cocktails is helping. Will sort out what to wear later as I don't care right now Shock

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 24/05/2013 09:18

Haha 'clothes line'. I meant 'clothing line'. Told you I was high street

Decameron · 24/05/2013 09:21

You poor thing OneLittleLady, hope you are not in pain.

Sleep, fantastic outfit and gorgeous kids!

Liberty, you will get loads of wear out of the jacket. DH laughs now but he went into Mulberry to get me a present when he was delayed in Heathrow one Christmas, was horrified and walked straight back out. Admittedly their prices are crazy but I like to shelter him from the true costs. I'm all heart.

Linus, do you want a plain red scarf or patterned? Pointy toe, ballet flats or loafers?

OP posts:
Sleepwhenidie · 24/05/2013 09:37

Sad I am sat in the car outside the gym, it is cold and wet and i have pmt...the temptation to find a cosy cafe and lose a couple of hours with coffee, croissants and a magazine is huuge! But hols next week, so I need motivating-kick me someone!

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 24/05/2013 09:41

DROPANDGIVEMETWENTY!

Did it work Sleep? Are you working out now?

Sleepwhenidie · 24/05/2013 09:49

Thanks Paris, am on the treadmillGrin

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 24/05/2013 09:52

I have been reading some blogs and there is something that I don't understand.

A lot of photos on blogs such as Theyallhateus and on Pinterest appear to be taken in the Jardin des Tuileries. Why is that? Every morning do a load of beautiful people in expensive clothes turn up, have their photo taken and then go off to start their normal working day? Is it in the evening? do they all hang out next to the benches on that gravelly path so everyone can look at them like my friends and I did outside the Co-Op in the mid 90's?

evidence

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 24/05/2013 09:54

Sleep Run like Robert Downey Jnr is at the finish line or a pack of zombies are behind you, whichever motivates you more Grin

shopafrolic · 24/05/2013 09:59

Love your first pic Sleep - very good. I haven't disguised but have set my pic to MN mates only....... be kind please.
Too big at a size 12 McNally ? - God - they wouldn't let me in at a 12/14 - I'd never shop there again and out them all over the internet.
Still waiting for an update on my jacket. The store are waiting to hear from the manufacturer. :(
Shitty shitty weather and horrible news stories are making me miserable so am off to see a friend for lunch with DS.

Sleepwhenidie · 24/05/2013 10:00

Hmm...jam doughnut at the finish line more effective today Grin. right, I am warm and you made me lol Paris, will now go and lift some weights Smile

Thanks for the lovely comments on pics everyone. onelittle I hope you aren't in pain and get better soon Sad

santamarianovella · 24/05/2013 10:21

santamarianovella · 24/05/2013 10:32

paris, these photos are usually take during paris fashion week,as some designers show there collections in the espace ephemere located there, and other designers show close to this area,so basically if you want to be seen, hang out at the the park!
you can see real nut jobs at this part of paris during fashion week!
