There's a house/farm across the road from us, and there's a footpath behind it, so you can see their horses etc.

There's a lovely little pond down the path and fil lives at the end of the path, so it's great.

Just firing up the laptop, so I can do links.

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2013 18:46

Ah per month! I agree see how it all goes with dh's new job.

I was offered work the other day, but it's not completely right, am deliberating over it as per usual.

MarshaBrady · 05/05/2013 18:47

That sounds gorgeous Anni.

Annianni · 05/05/2013 19:00

Blimey, it's weird being on an enormous laptop again :o

I usually use the nexus, phone or netbook. Can't actually remember the last time I used this beast... and it's doing about a million updates Hmm

We were so lucky to get this house last year, I love it... even with the old lady wallpaper and carpets.

Dh has suggested I have a drink later, seeing as I feel like i'm hungover, why not get some enjoyment out of it too.

So I shall apologise now, for any dodgy links later...

santamarianovella · 05/05/2013 19:15

That's lovely ani,DH keeps mentioning how nice it would be for the kids,if we live up north,I'm not buying itWink.
I just bought an equipment shirt www.forwardforward.com/fw/DisplayProduct.jsp?code=EQUF-WS280&d=Womens ,I should never be left alone.

Topazandpearl · 05/05/2013 19:21

LeFreak, I have that dress and have worn it with black, grey or navy opaques as well as sheer tights. I have worn it with a stone, black or mustard jacket. It goes with silver, black or snakeskin accessories. It's one of my most wearable dresses.

Annianni · 05/05/2013 19:21

Navy cotton jacket I ordered earlier.
Think it would be nice with jeans etc for during the day.
And i've gone off the Gap parka already :o

Stripe dress I thought Amber might like

LinusDKD · 05/05/2013 19:23

I like the M&S tee but the neckline is a bit too high for me and cream really isn't my colour (I suspect I am a winter)

I love the whole cream/camel look tanned and darkhaired women can pull off but it really doesn't suit me.

I might have found a more suitable swimsuit than the fringe monstrosity but I think my post-DC boobs need a bit more support:

www.asos.com/Ted-Baker/Ted-Baker-Nautical-Cross-Back-Swimsuit/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2610394

Santamarianovella the brands you mention have some lovely swimsuits but as I hope to one day wear a bikini again I don't want to spend too much. Same for Eres although I just had a look on their website and could easily buy all of their swimsuits.

DH left at 6 (am 1 h ahead of the UK) and I miss him already.Sad

Annianni · 05/05/2013 19:25

Lovely colour Santa

I don't normally get headaches like this. Good job dh is out, or he'd nag me to get of here, saying it's not doing my eyes any good... and I should put my glasses on...

Houses are cheap up here though, ds's school is 1/2 a mile away, so we can walk.
And the best high school in the area is 1/3 of a mile away.

Crap shops though :o

Annianni · 05/05/2013 19:27

off not of...

santamarianovella · 05/05/2013 19:45

ani ,im not totally against it TBH,when we visit my inlaws (they live in the north) we always have a great time, we spend a lot of our time outdoors, even when its freezing.its soo beautiful, and it would be nice to live next to them.
and i dont mind crappy shops.due to my father"s job we moved around alot,we lived in various countries some were awesome and some not so good,so i can manage!
i love the jacket btw.
linus you can do it,you will go back to your pre dc body,it can be done.
i had c-sec with dd,and it took me 9 mnths to lose the baby weight.

McNally · 05/05/2013 19:46

Hope you feel better soon QueenC and Anni.

That sounds lovely Anni. I live in London but am a northerner at heart.

Nooooooooo. No one mention bikinis! I'm wondering whether it is worth not going on holiday this year just so I don't have to deal with swimwear. I do not have the mental strength. Grin

shopafrolic · 05/05/2013 19:49

Anni I couldn't see the jacket. It took me to the homepage. But am on iPad so that may be it.
Wow at the Eres swimsuits. I have no need for swimwear this summer, hopefully next summer we'll be poolside somewhere. Would love to think I could wear a bikini again but looking down at my tummy as I sit on the sofa I fear not! I'm fine when I stand up! Even breathing in doesn't help sitting down Grin

It's the army nation combat jacket (i think) Shop

shopafrolic · 05/05/2013 20:06

Meant to ask QueenC how are you finding your colours?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 05/05/2013 20:07

Bargain Anni

OP posts:
LeFreakCestChic · 05/05/2013 20:13

Thanks topaz. I think I bought it cos it was 50% off and I wanted the style rather than the colour. At worst I'll be able to get an idea on the sizing as I don't want it clingy and and back if not suitable. Just an eternal dilemma on bare legs/ tights etc in the 'summer'!

Annianni · 05/05/2013 20:16

Stripe dress is the 'fun striped maxi dress'

shopafrolic · 05/05/2013 20:16

shop Thanks Right back at you!

I have lost the baby weight but to be fair, I was overweight before having my children and I would like to lose more weight. So the mummy tummy had some solid foundations to build on Smile

It is such a shame that when my body was in its 'prime' in my twenties I lacked confidence to wear short skirts, outlandish outfits etc and now that
I am more confident I don't have the body anymore to pull those outfits off.

For example a dress like this:
www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Mini-Shift-Dress-In-Sequin-Lace/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2736562

libertychick · 05/05/2013 20:50

It's funny how everyone's lives are so different - I am sure having DH's away a lot must be difficult but my DH is here all the time and I really, really wish he'd go away sometimes just to have the house to myself with DD!!!

And yes Anni I do want the Whistles jacket in navy so please don't shout at me too much Grin

Went through my CC bill last night for April and have almost £500 due back from returns Blush. I think I will end up on some type of internet shopping blacklist and they'll refuse to send me anything.

libertychick · 05/05/2013 20:57

Linus that ASOS dress looks like it would be quite forgiving of a tummy provided you have legs and arms you are happy with - I would go for it if it was a bit longer - I need to keep my knees under wraps unfortunately.

I did get my legs (below knee of course) out today for the first time this year - wore the linen Cos jumper with a 7 year old brown, navy and white stripe slightly flouncy below knee Zara skirt with navy converse. Felt very me Smile

shopafrolic · 05/05/2013 21:06

I know what you mean Linus. I never wore dresses when I was younger because I have long legs and always got comments which made me self conscious. That dress would have been fab when I was younger. Now I feel at 40 that I may have missed the boat. Not so confident in skirts and dresses.......

Hello I'm new on this thread and have a total novice question please don t laugh. I want to get the colourful/ print fitted top+ skinny jeans+ cardi look. I have the jeans ( uniqlo) the top ( Boden- I know I know) but where do I get a good cardi. Have looked in M&S ( frumpy) Jigsaw (pricey) and Boden knitwear often just not v stylish. I'm looking for something fairly fitted, ending at low hip. I'm 5"4'. Thanks for your suggestions

shopafrolic · 05/05/2013 21:08

I think I might have an early night. A whole bed to myself is quite tempting! We live on a high street in a village and the local teen drunks and boy racers seem out in force this evening.
