YoniOno · 11/04/2013 13:09

I'm a lurker but had to come on to say please don't pay £175 for a polyester vest Amber! Shock tis a lovely print, but that's just bonkers.

I love the top Amber..... How would you wear it? Agree that it's a bit pricey for polyester but would go with so much

carrie74 · 11/04/2013 13:15

Thanks Amber, I'll keep musing. I really don't need any more bags. [but I may call the local outlet to see if they come in very often]

I think I'd be wanting silk for £175, agree with Yoni.

And what was the Yoni thread last night? Totally missed it (was having an iPad free evening for a change (it needed charging Blush)

carrie please don't ask that question on this thread Grin. The thread is still active if you want to take a look / visit Hull anytime soon!

carrie, which hudsons do you have? I'm struggling to style them with anything apart from skinnies.
PS. Please do look at the yoni thread, it's amazeballs Grin

I'm totally intrigued now lol! Is it just Yoni? Might save it for the evening...[my extended family is all from Hull. I'm starting to feel afraid]

LeFreak I have these: Hudsons. They really do go with everything, smart enough for (my) work, goes with dresses and trousers, skinnies, the lot!

Ah, I have the beige suede horrigans, lovely but maybe less versatile.

'just yoni'? What else are you looking for?! Wink

carrie74 · 11/04/2013 14:21

Waaahhh! Sorry, I meant is that what I should search for. Lol!

I LOVE Horrigan's. Might stretch next autumn.

Lol at just yoni!

That COS dress looks great, Liberty.

Happy anniversary, Shop. Enjoy tonight.

I have a plain grey top and navy cargos on today (both Boden but no patterns!), navy Ash bowies and red DVF wool coat when out.

Oh don't be mental, I'm not actually going to buy it at that price. At 80% off in the sale I might Wink

And drywhite I'm imagining it tucked into a hot pink pencil skirt (which I do not own) or with white skinnies (which I also do not own).

Am inches away from ordering a pair of white cowboy boots. Shall I...?

Annianni · 11/04/2013 14:42

Lovely top Amber.

White cowboy boots!?
Erm... link please :o

I've been very good and sent lots of parcels back.
The Petit Bateau pea coat is lovely and if the fabric was thinner I would have kept it. But it's quite a heavy wool and i'd need to alter the sleeves, so it's gone :(

I tried the jalouse with skinnys and they don't work on me. I also broke a nail putting them on. And when i'd re-packed them, I realised my nail was bleeding.
I had a heart stopping moment checking the pale suede boots for blood, but luckily they were fine.

I've kept the short Gap trench. If anyone wants to try it, size down as i've kept the medium and it's been a while since I was one of those.

I've also returned the asos grey coats and the navy Gap blazer.

I'd like to try the Maxmara one Decam linked a while back.
And i'd rather pay a bit more for something nicer.

Oh, and the neon breton is here and it's lovely... but a bit snug on my vast stomach.
So i'll try it next week, when i've hopefully lost the rest of that half a stone and see how it is.

It looks fab with the Gap short trench.

I want to try those Mirar Hudson's on my grey boot quest, but they look a bit pale in photos.
Has anyone seen the grey irl?

Scary with the boots Anni when I first bought mine I felt very odd wearing them, thought they didn't work, now I live in them, my Hudsons and Ash Spirals too ( which are easier to get on as they have zips).
Carrie hurry up and find the thread. If you've got family in Hull I can't wait to hear your opinions! Grin
I'm wearing the M&S slippers, with two socks on my left foot, one sock on my right to stretch them a bit. Seems to be working but I look bloody ridiculous!

good returning anni. i will have to do some as well this weekend as only one pair of white jeans and one pair of trainers is allowed to stay. I'm hoping they all get here tomorrow so I can try on and choose!

i didn't order the neon breton in the end, have decided my yellow tee need is more pressing.

I hate the COS website. I'm browsing in anticipation of good things. Love this but I'm guessing it'll be super short on me if I'm 5ft 9? Why can't they it their clothes on models?
too short orange dress
Also like

Shop i've seen something online recently about stretching shoes by wearing socks and putting the hairdryer on them too.
If you wiggle your toes, the heat will soften the leather and they'll loosen up.

The neon breton is lovely Foxy, it was back in stock on AR last night too.

I ordered a slouchy navy stripe breton to try. The £20 off code is still working (share2013)

Those dresses are lovely Shop but they're all around 3ft in length, which doesn't seem long to me. I think there'd be knees on show.

Isn't Amber going to Cos over the weekend?
Ask her to investigate.
