Foxy checked MiH ones online and they are 98% cotton.

Hopefully will wear mine with ballet flats.

MarshaBrady · 26/04/2013 10:44

I am home alone. Everyone out and it's looooverly. Always coincides with cleaners so feels bright and empty too. Will make a nice coffee in a minute then get on with own work.

Anni that's funny Grin. Dh often compliments my clothes, good man.

carrie74 · 26/04/2013 10:44

Morning all, Shop fanastic news, congratulations!!

Hopefully, I wear them with Converse, sandals, Birkies (sorry, probs a MNV sin!). Anything really.

Hoping for a (probably super quick) mooch in Bath today (will remember my wallet this time), looking for decent flats. I've been dithering about ballerinas, and I'm so worried about buying premium, and then having them destroy my feet. I HATE buying shoes for this reason. I tend to stick to brands that have worked in the past, but have suddenly got the FEAR of making the wrong decision.

Need to replace some staples in my wardrobe. I've got a couple of pairs of Zara black straight leg trousers for work (one pair cropped), but they've not worn brilliantly, and because I get a lot of wear out of them, am thinking of trading up. Saw some Helmut Lang ones on Outnet today: www.theoutnet.com/Shop/Designers/Helmut_Lang/Clothing/Pants but not sure if they'd be ok. Any opinions on HL?

In the summer, I also wear a very old pair of beige trousers to work, and they're looking so dated, but work with my darker tops. They're flared cotton with a turn up from Old Navy of all places (they've lasted YEARS and cost about $12!!), but I think I'd prefer to go for a more modern shape. Perhaps I'll pop into Banana Republic in Bath too...They're a total comfort item, but for some reason the thought of buying new beige trousers makes me shudder. Will I look like my Mum?!?

MarshaBrady · 26/04/2013 10:46

Carrie I tried some HL ones in Liberty about a year ago in the sale. Different, as stretchy, but loved them and was disappointed they didn't have my size.

santamarianovella · 26/04/2013 10:59

i wear mine with gladiator sandals, ballerinas, and i have one pair of wedge trainers that surprisingly looks great with white jeans,
i think you can wear just about any kind of shoes except flip flops, too beachy.
i dont know if the poly thing is bad foxy,i had a look at some of my best fitting jeans and they have a combination of cotton, poly and 1 or 2 percent elastin. one very good fitting pair has no poly just elastin(joe jeans) i dont see any difference in fit,its just thinner.

hopefully,i was strongly advised by the uber cool staff at zadig and voltaire to never ever buy bright white jeans, they look very cheap and will develop a gray coat no matter how well you look after them.

Annianni · 26/04/2013 11:19

I'm sat at Southport prom with a hot chocolate while ds2 naps.
It's glorious sunshine and blue skies but really windy.

Dh will often say I look nice, usually when I've managed to put some make up on :o
but this time he actually said 'that's a nice jumper' which really suprised me.

MarshaBrady · 26/04/2013 12:02

That's true. Dh will do you look nice / great etc general air of compliment, but rarer on specific item.

The I&I bright cashmere one got a that's a nice jumper, nice colour. Probably needs to be super bright or something. Grin

shopafrolic · 26/04/2013 12:18

My DH says that men like women who wear colour - shows they're fun and approachable or something. That's why most days I'm dressed as a children's TV presenter Grin

Hmmm hush shirt. Gorgeous material but not cut right for me-a bit too wide and bit too short. pity as its lovely.

shopafrolic · 26/04/2013 12:43

Oh that's a shame Foxy

I don't think half the time my dh notices what I'm wearing although he does normally make a nice comment if I'm properly dressed up. But he loves me best when I'm wearing no make up, a fleece, walking boots and preferably up a mountain somewhere Grin

I've just collected the jaegar top and I love it. Can't quite believe that i've spent 80 quid on a top (or rather dh has!) but I' not going to feel guilty as it will get worn loads. It'll be great in the summer but in spring/autumn I can also put a vest under it. Looks great with my navy or black crops. I just won't wear it to go out for a curry!

shopafrolic · 26/04/2013 13:10

It's lovely QueenC.
My excitement for today? I've taken delivery of a rotary clothes line so I can dry clothes outside rather than shoving everything in the tumble dryer. I am beyond excited - such a loser!

Forgot to say that the KG sandals arrived today and I love them too. They will be great for nights out in the summer. They wouldn't last 5 mins on the school run but that's what birkies are for (carrie I'm definately with you on them-can't beat them for comfort and practicality).

shopafrolic · 26/04/2013 13:11

I'll set up the next edition for when this thread is full.

Hello everyone!

Blimmin freezing up here now today. Definitely still boots weather, although I love the new sandals QC. They'll look lovely with tanned feet and a good pedi (one day...) Top v pretty too.

Brilliant news for you shop, delighted your anguish is over.

Going home to eat some lunch now, before I perish.

Hopefully · 26/04/2013 13:33

Have been mentally going through my wardrobe today (long walk back from toddler group with napping child in pram), and have realised I am v short on clothes for inbetween weather, which is silly as basically most days from April-October are in between days. Hence white jeans question. Other gaps include footwear - since my one pair of sneakers pinch, I am down to, erm, NO FLAT SHOES. I have 3 pairs flat winter boots, one pair of flat sandals and various heeled things, but literally no everyday flat shoes. That is ridiculous, I have decided.

QueenCadbury · 26/04/2013 13:35

Talking of pedis I've been using this to banish my horrible cracked hard skin on my heels. 'Tis great and very satisfying Grin

Annianni · 26/04/2013 13:49

Just got home as the delivery man arrived with my Whistles grey sweatshirt and I love it. It's a prefect fit, slighty slouchy and the flecks of neon look fab.

Now, going by the above theories...
Will I get it past dh un-noticed, with it being grey... or would he spot the neon flecks? :o

I can thoroughly recommend the Ash Virgo's for anyone wanting a flat leather trainer.
I've worn them everyday this week and they are fab.

I'll hold my hands up too, and confess to being a birkenstock wearer in Summer.
