Oh positive news OneLittleLady - holding your hand virtually! And crossing everything.

OneLittleLady · 10/04/2013 16:47

Thanks shop everything crossed for your DH too

Hopefully · 10/04/2013 16:55

MrsR I was talking about the knee length one, but I have been contemplating the long one too. Would happily cycle in it - just as long as it is hoicked up to upper-calf level I can cycle in just about anything!

Shop and One fingers crossed re the interviews!

Ugh, just went all the way into town to go to the post office and peruse scarves in Zara and realised I had forgotten my wallet. Sigh.

carrie74 · 10/04/2013 17:02

Oops, sorry shop. Thought it looked familiar when I opened it Blush.

Fingers crossed for your and one's DHs interviews, hope some great opportunities present themselves.

Mrs R, fab trainers!

Argh Hopefully it bugs when that happens, hope it wasn't too far into town for you. Liked your roundup of scarves on the blog today.

shopafrolic · 10/04/2013 17:03

Don't be daft carrie just glad someone likes the look of it too - I thought perhaps my style radar was off!

Thanks Carrie! Not too far into town, but I left it so late to go that I couldn't come back, get my wallet and go again. Boo.

foxysocks · 10/04/2013 17:45

Thanks for sizing info shop. Think I'll go for my usual size. Would have gone for the JV ones but got stung with the collapse of Style Passport and couldn't return coral Blochs.

I looked at the Fold on the first link- looks v sophisticated workwear, maybe too much so for my work environment which should be more formal but Many of my colleagues are one headscarfed croc- ed foot away from resembling Russian cabbage pickers Grin and I already feel I stand out. Not that I wear anything particularly special- just love clothes and refuse to go to work in crocs. Crocs!

shopafrolic · 10/04/2013 18:10

Yup v corporate LeFreak
Fingers crossed for the snakeskin's. I love them - need to try them on again tonight. My feet swell and shrink a lot so hopefully they'll be okay. My left is bigger than my right and in-store the 7.5 right kept falling off when I walked in them. Am hoping they give just a little.

Hopefully · 10/04/2013 19:17

Liking some of the Fold dresses, especially the leather panels one. Cannot quite envisage the work environment that would work in though!

Speaking of work, am meant to be catching up on emails this evening but have say down with a glass of wine and CAN'T MOVE.

Hopefully · 10/04/2013 19:18

sat

Annianni · 10/04/2013 19:24

Thanks Carrie but i want grey boots.
Ideally, horrigans in a 6 & 1/2 but they don't exist :(

QueenC I've started well but my period's here so it could all go pear shaped and I'll end up in a teary heap with my face in Sainsburys pic n mix :o

Asos order's here...
Grey coat 1 is quite nice. Lovely soft fabric.
Grey coat 2 is too Wintery and not as nice
fabric wise.

Gap order's here too, both order's came within 24hrs of ordering.
Smaller size short trench fits perfectly on the body but snug on my arms.
Need to have a proper try tomorrow.

I do like the PB pea coat, it's lovely quality... but will I get much wear out of it at the moment? If the weather's improving.

I like all the trainers you've linked Foxy
Buy them all :o

Annianni · 10/04/2013 21:47

Is anyone a size 5 shoe?

Marsha's whistles snake flats are in stock on AR again for £25

libertychick · 10/04/2013 22:23

Shop I bookmarked Fold when you linked it but haven't had a chance to have a look yet. Fingers crossed for your DH and also for one's DH.

I really like the ASOS Daleys especially in green.

I haven't got the M&S snakeskins yet - 6 (my normal size) was too big and I have ordered both the 5 and 5.5 to try - they are sitting waiting for me in what I thought would be a convenient M&S but my work diary has been crazy this week and haven't managed to get in there yet...could be Monday now before I can collect them as the rest of the week is equally crazy.

Managed to swing by Regent St today - had to be focused so just went to & Other Stories and Cos. Was disappointed with Stories - nothing really appealed - a LOT of polyester. In Cos I bought this navy linen jumper which one of the worn out ladies blogged about and Grumpy bought - really like it - perfectly slouchy and in keeping with the Philo aesthetic I am trying to do - 'would Phoebe wear it?' is my current mantra Grin Also bought this T-Shirt - very impressed with the fit and quality - hope it washes ok.

Also tried on this dress and I am very tempted...looks amazing on, very flattering but a difficult length (mid calf) and this is my best 'time of month' when I am not bloated or paranoid so wondering if it's something I wouldn't dare put on any other time. Hopefully what do you wear on your feet with your tube skirts as I need some inspiration in terms of potential styling?

Ran into Zara in another part of town and bought this t-shirt the logo is the story of my life!

It sounds like I spent the day shopping Grin - actually I managed 4 work meetings in 3 different locations and spent about 40 mins tops in the shops!

libertychick · 10/04/2013 22:29

Ohhh very tempting Anni

Marsha what is the sizing like on the Whistles snakeskin flats? I am usually a 6...

LeFreakCestChic · 10/04/2013 22:29

Popped in to say I've bought the M&S flats (sheeplike me)- hope they're true to size on me- CBA with exchanging.

Was momentarily distracted by the Yoni thread though Grin

libertychick · 10/04/2013 22:31

And noticed in London today that practically every woman under 25 is wearing retro Nike trainers.

MarshaBrady · 10/04/2013 22:33

Liberty not small for size. I'm a 7, but can be a 40.5, and got a 7. So felt pleased they weren't too small. Not sure if could do a whole size down.

But would be great if someone got them so am willing them to fit!

libertychick · 10/04/2013 22:44

Thanks Marsha - probably won't risk it - I have returned an embarrassing amount of stuff to Atterley road - feel certain they must be on the verge of blacklisting me!

LeFreak the Yoni thread has made my night! Fingers crossed the shoes come up ok for you.

OneLittleLady · 10/04/2013 22:47

The Yoni thread is something else Grin I'm on the hunt for brightly coloured shirt dresses. I have one in red but would quite like some more, perhaps in blue and green. Anyone seen anything like that?

AmberNectarine · 10/04/2013 22:53

That Cos dress is right up my street - would wear with NBs/Superga/Slipper flats. Am doing a blogging event in Carnaby St next weekend, will swing by Cos!

libertychick · 10/04/2013 22:59

Amber I did think NBs and maybe a cropped denim jacket or else slipper flats and a blazer for work...it really is lovely and it would suit you I think. Lovely soft cotton as well - very comfy. I may have to order it....

Hopefully · 10/04/2013 23:02

Liberty I wear my tube skirts with everything - my faux Marant Dicker-alike suede ankle boots, nude LKB heels (nude heels always seem easier than coloured with my tube skirts, for some reason), great big doc marten triumph 1914s for casual. Tube skirts work well for me - I look so incredibly frumpy in a classic pencil skirt - so I wear them a lot.
