has anyone tried the C/E slouchy stiletto jeans? what are they like?

shopafrolic · 25/04/2013 09:51

Travel yup, already said to Decam will recirculate via MNV if they don't fit.
Hopefully cycle paths no probs. My dad was knocked off his bike when we were kids on a roundabout so I'm probably paranoid.
Have made it to meeting with no car accidents! Yay me!
Not sure about this cream blazer. Good for Spring but am keeping eyes out for a marine navy one. Lots of navy, not much marine navy...

No experience of CE Foxy but agree buying underwear v dull. And I don't think I've been measured correctly. Depending on what I wear now I have to have a bit of padding post BF :(

QueenCadbury · 25/04/2013 10:05

I have a headache Grin

Talking of bras, I've just ordered a couple from john Lewis as they have a 25% event on to match HOF. Measuring myself from the bra threads I should be a 30f rather than a 32e so we shall see when they arrive.

QueenCadbury · 25/04/2013 10:08

foxy this is the only bra that gives me any shape since having dc.

Hopefully · 25/04/2013 10:10

Travel I read the first three word of your post and honestly thought you were going to nonchalantly confess to losing a toe...

My Topshop shoes have arrived and I am trying to like them more than I actually do. Am v disappointed. They gape at the sides (and I have big, but not even slightly narrow feet) and are much more coral/pale tangerine than the bright orange they look on the website Sad. Boo. Will try to hunt down some flat shoes in London on Saturday I think . The pow! skirt was also no good - I could see before I even took it out of the packet that it was too bright, too black and white and generally not right for me. I wasn't going to be satisfied till I'd tried it though!

Shop marine navy is a bugger to find, but such an awesome colour. I have had more success finding marine navy fabric and getting things made.

Hopefully · 25/04/2013 10:12

Foxy I don't think they stock in JL, but my post BFing awfulness boobs become instantly more acceptable in the the panache tango - has to be the balconette one, not the plunge.

foxysocks · 25/04/2013 10:22

the problem I have with bras is that if they come up too high on my (very bony ) chest bone they really hurt. i dislike feeling constrained which inevitably happens with anything padded. AND i have an unusually small (for my height) rib cage which means a 30 back is the absolute biggest I can go.

i tried this one yday which was v nice so may order but not sure

they didn't have this in JL but I like the look of it much more so have ordered two to try on in nude and charcoal

might add them to necessary household expenditure rather than my personal spends. can't see DH arguing that Grin

QueenCadbury · 25/04/2013 10:22

I love this. Not sure I can justify the price though...

foxysocks · 25/04/2013 10:33

that's gorgeous queenc

Hopefully · 25/04/2013 10:44

Ooh, that's really pretty queen, and also looks like a proper true white - often those sorts of tops are a soft white.

MarshaBrady · 25/04/2013 10:48

That's lovely QueenC.

Foxy I do M&S undies and vests too, need more of the latter.

I am wearing the raspberry/red outnet cashmere for the first time today. It's an amazing colour. Really bright red/deep pink. So nice.

sounds gorgeous marsha

my friend was in sandals for SR today, am wearing silver gigis round the house now and may give them outing later if the clouds clear

just ordered this beauty which is slightly narrower but almost same length and exact same material mix as the CL. for £25 delivered it's worth looking at anyway.

I would pay that amount for good quality scarves in india which was my other thought, but am not going till oct/nov.

shopafrolic · 25/04/2013 12:12

Lovely top QueenC
So to continue my work meeting dramas, as I pulled out of the car park an old man walking along the road collapsed, fell backwards into the road and cracked his head on the tarmac. Cue me and another guy stopping, I called ambulance etc. All a bit stressy when they asked me to get a defibrilator from the cinema nearby and did I know how to use it if needed! Anyway, Dennis is doing fine and was left in the care of the ambulance men who were lovely.
I seem to have a job if I want it. 2 days a month for 2 months. It could be a good way to dip my toe in the water and see if I'm ready to go back to work. It'd be at the day rate we talked about Marsha - not sure - seems foolish not to really.........

shopafrolic · 25/04/2013 12:32

And in other news - the people in the accident last week are making a personal injury claim against me! Angry

OP posts:
GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/04/2013 12:42

Great news shop - hope it works out for you. It's that karma thing; you go around saving collapsed old men and karma rewards you...

Lovely scarf Foxy and so bargainous! At that price, you couldn't go wrong, really. I've bought a very suspect Leopard scarf a la Louis Vuitton. I googled 'Louis Vuitton Leopard scarf' and was Shock Shock to see they were £500! I bought mine for £11.49, so I'm guessing it may not be an actual Louis Vuitton scarf. But it looks very nice, all the same.

Hopefully that's so disappointing with the shoes. The colour looked great on the website, so annoying when that happens. I've missed the conversation about marine blue - I was looking for a sweater (plain, round neck, fitted, pref cashmere) in marine blue, but nada.
Did buy this in Mango on Sunday and it's gorgeous. The navy was beautiful too and I was conflicted, but DD2 (9yo, loves giving style advice) convinced me to go for the off-white and she was right. Will look equally good with shorts, jeans, whatever.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/04/2013 12:43

Oh, x-post shop. Bastards. I suppose they both have 'whiplash' Angry

Annianni · 25/04/2013 12:46

Oh that's not good Shop
Someone's obviously told them they'll get some money out of it.

Good news about the job offer though.
How has MrShop gone on?

And I hope Dennis is ok.

Lovely scarf Foxy

Annianni · 25/04/2013 12:52

I ordered the Whistles charlotte colour flecked sweatshirt last night.

I got fed up waiting for a code and asos had sold out of my size, so I had the fear :o

It looks lousy in the photos but lovely irl.

Must ebay again today to make up for it!

libertychick · 25/04/2013 12:56

Gosh you've had a full on day Shop and it's barely lunchtime! Well done on the job offer - sounds like a great way to get started and while the claim is v v annoying there is not a lot you can do - from what I gather the insurance company will usually just settle and you get bugger all say in it. Very well done on helping the old man - the good karma will come back your way. Fingers crossed for your DH.

And please, please can I be next on the list after Travelin for Decam's jeans????

Foxy fantastic find on the scarf - already sold out Smile - will have a proper browse on the site later.

And thanks for all the bra links - I'll check those out. I have small but v shapeless saggy boobs. Very hard to get bras that suit. I measure as a 32D when I follow the 'bra intervention thread' guidelines but my saggy little norks just look lost in most D cups.

Hopefully · 25/04/2013 13:10

Shop what a nightmare! Everyone gets told they can make money by making injury claims now, so I suppose it's just too tempting. Great news on the job though - there can't be a more ideal way to dip your toe back in the water.

Grumpy that's a really pretty shirt - I never particularly seek out Mango, but I always find stuff I like when I look there.

Wish the weather would make up its mind. I need to cycle into town not in flip flops and want to know if it's going to rain or not. It's a bit cloudy and muggy.

santamarianovella · 25/04/2013 13:17

foxy I only have one pair of CE it's this : pinterest.com/pin/192106740324935506/
It's in the skinny stiletto, but it's not tight fitting, and I had to take a smaller size, the fit is perfect ,very flattering and it only has %2 stretch in it.im wearing them today with a white AV tee.
Don't waste your money on scarves here!get them from India, you can find the best cashmere quality there for next to nothing.

I don't enjoy underwear shopping either, but I love having nice underwear,it makes a huge difference when your wearing a nice fitting bra.

shop, that's just crazy! ,it's horrible how greedy and dishonest people can be.
Hope it didn't ruin the news of your job offer.

QueenCadbury · 25/04/2013 13:22

shop well done on the job offer. If you have childcare you may as well go for it for 2 months. It's horrible when someone is ill/has an accident in front of you. As a nurse I'm obliged to stop and help. Those defibrillator machines are great. They basically tell you what to do. And boo to those bastards with 'whiplash'.

I was hoping you'd all tell me that the top's grim and not worth the money Grin. I'm currently in a text conversation with dh about what's reasonable to spend on a top. I love it because it's white but at the same time I'm unsure as I can imagine me spilling red wine on it on my first wear.

foxy bras deffo come under household expense. They are a necessity and I agree I hate spending money on them.

QueenCadbury · 25/04/2013 13:34

Ok, so I told dh that the top is under £100 and he's said go for it! Do I...? Or do I hold out for something in a different colour?
