Know what you mean foxy, but for £35, how could I say no? Grin I'm usually a slouchy leather girl too, but have loved the look of those metallic saddlebags for ages, and for that price, willing to give it a try (in the knowledge that the Mulberrys are always waiting in the wings).

amber love the pointy flats. Hoping for a mooch tomorrow in Bath (when I'll remember to bring my wallet with me - unlike yesterday when I'd got all the way into Bristol with no wallet. Needed a dash to Ikea, and was trying to fit it in while the kids were on play dates after school. There was a sense of smugness at walking out of Ikea empty handed though. Rectified today when we had the joy of a family trip there...). I'm not normally so dizzy as this and the loss of my carry on suggests Grin

Enjoy the booze Amber I've drunk too much wine in the sun this evening so will stay off this thread for fear of some inappropriate boot links! X

QueenC, hope you enjoyed having your colours done, I am sure you did as you were in good hands.

Dolcee, glad your dad is doing ok, it's tough treatment. My girls are in good form, thanks. Getting big! What is your pinterest name? Would love to see your house ideas. We are finally looking to buy a house so hopefully will be doing one up soon.

Cute shoes, Amber, have fun tonight.

DD1 had a great birthday. DD2 was a bit overwhelmed. The staff were fantastic, really recommend Pizza Express for kids' parties. The chef made pizzas with them. It was great to be able to just get up and leave the mess. DH left a big tip as he was so happy not to have the party at home. House was trashed last year. Grin Quite a few parents stayed and we went through 7 bottles of wine! DD1 got up of her own accord and made a speech thanking everyone for coming and wishing love and peace for everyone. My friend said she sounded like a Miss World contestant!

Decameron · 20/04/2013 23:18

Sorry I missed the Zatchels sale, bags sound great Carrie and Anni.

libertychick · 20/04/2013 23:42

Thanks all for the zatchels tip off. I have just bought a gold metallic saddle bag for a friend who is turning 40 in a couple of weeks and a pink fluro one for my sister who is 15 soon.

Decam sounds like a fab party and how brilliant that your DD has such confidence - good for her.

QueenC I am on tenderhooks waiting for the colours feedback...Smile

Amber I had a sudden flashback today and remembered I had a pair of white, fur lined, mid calf length cowboyish style boots when I was 13!!! For styling reference I wore mine to a school disco with a black and green batwing knitted knee length dress and lacy black tights. On reflection I am amazed my mother let me out of the house in the getup! My mother is the eldest of 8 girls and I had aunties in their late teens who used to enjoy annoying my mother by loaning me highly unsuitable clothing!!

Grumpy thanks for the Reiss tip off and glad you got your boots. Am off now for a browse of that sale.

And today's fashion news...I finally have the M&S snakeskin flats!!! The fourth pair I ordered (a) fit and (b) are patterned in a way that I like (fusspot)

libertychick · 20/04/2013 23:43

Dec zatchels sale is live until 5pm on Sunday...

QueenCadbury · 21/04/2013 06:43

Morning all! I am one very happy bunny as I am officially a winter and so get to keep all my navy, grey and black. Yay! It was such a fab day although totally knackering. I was out last night but had to come home at 10.30 which is unusual for me-I'm usually the drunk one leading everyone astray! I've had a quick look in my wardrobe and most things seem to be the right shade but just not as vibrant as they should be so I need definitely need to do some shopping!

AmberNectarine · 21/04/2013 07:27

Congratulations on the best diagnosis QueenC - what are your double stars?

Annianni · 21/04/2013 07:31

That's fab QueenC, enjoy your shopping trip.

Those shoes are lovely Amber.

We've got an apple tree to plant today.
Is it bad that I'm quite excited?!

Annianni · 21/04/2013 07:34

I nearly ordered the black vogue saddle bag too.

But I've spent too much this month and need to restrain myself for a bit.

OneLittleLady · 21/04/2013 07:59

Oooh, enjoy your shopping QueenC there's some lovely, winter suitable colours around at the minute if you can steel yourself to wade through all the pastels that are in abundance!

QueenCadbury · 21/04/2013 09:17

amber my double stars at 100 are royal blue, electric blue, damson, lagoon blue and light emerald. Double stars at 75 are indigo, navy, scarlet, Chinese blue, dark emerald and pine green.

I've had a quick look online and haven't been very inspired so far but am planning on dragging dd to the shops tomorrow and see what's around. Dh is of course Hmm about me needing new clothes and was definitely Shock by the bright lipstick I came home wearing. Apparently it makes me look like an old lady. Think I should LTB Wink

Decameron · 21/04/2013 09:32

Those colours sound beautiful, QueenC. Enjoy your shopping.

Glad the M&S shoes finally worked out, Liberty!

DD1 has just opened her presents and is now in Hello Kitty/Barbie heaven.

Have a great holiday, Amber and Novice.

Off to browse the Zatchels website. DH doesn't like the colour of my new bag but what does he know. Grin I have gone over my budget this month though. I'm eyeing up my Phil & Teds to ebay.

Hopefully · 21/04/2013 09:36

Definitely LTB QueenC Wink

foxysocks · 21/04/2013 09:47

I am massively under budget (hurrah!) but have NaP and cos basket with beautiful goodies in, just deliberating which/what to go for...

foxysocks · 21/04/2013 09:50

amber can you remember what material that midi dress was? and did you try it on - how long was it on you? it's really lovely.

AmberNectarine · 21/04/2013 09:53

QueenC here's me looking like an old lady in a winter lippy! Sounds like you're rocking the bold blues! Need to look out my book and remind myself of my double stars! Don't worry about DH, mine is constantly baffled by the things I wear!

White boots on the blog now for foxy!

AmberNectarine · 21/04/2013 09:58

It was a poly-viscose blend, but felt really good. Is online here. I didn't try it, as my jeans are so tight I couldn't face wrestling out of them, but I thought it would suit me well. I thought it was v A Wang!

QueenCadbury · 21/04/2013 10:02

amber you look anything but an old lady! I ignored dh anyway and wore it with pride.

QueenCadbury · 21/04/2013 10:07

Just to warn you that all those zatchels orders may take a while. Remember that I ordered the cobalt metallic one and then changed my mind ( I was worried about scratching). I was able to cancel my order even after 2 weeks as they hadn't yet cut the leather. I guess they may have extra staff on but with all the extra orders you could be waiting. I know how you all like instant gratification like me Grin

foxysocks · 21/04/2013 10:09

amber yep I agree. it's like that cos one but way cheaper (and probs thinner). interesting. love the boots, natch.

queenc i need to go to the shopping centre nr us this week, send me a message once you know what day you are going maybe we can have a coffee??

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 21/04/2013 12:36

Pfft to your Dh Amber - lippy looks fab, not at all 'Old Lady'. I hear the Zatchels sale has been extended and am also tempted by the black vogue saddlebag (it had been a toss-up in the first place), but I'm a bit demoralised as, according to Paypal, I have been charged 5 times Shock for the bags i bought yesterday when the site kept crashing and saying my purchase had not been completed.

MarshaBrady · 21/04/2013 12:41

I have cracked out the shorts (thin wool and lined) in the sun. Be great if there was a bit of the winter tan left from Christmas holiday!

I always blot off most of the lipstick I put on always feels odd.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 21/04/2013 12:48

Brave Marsha! Not warm enough here for me to liberate my legs, which are also good and pasty despite 10 days in Florida in December.

MarshaBrady · 21/04/2013 13:01

I know, quite sheltered only in the garden. Probably a bit cooler out there.

My face doesn't really tan (freckles), but the rest of me does so I always lament that no one can tell I've been on holiday in winter unless I flash a wrist. Wink
