Morning!

Just getting ready for today's clients and flapping about what to wear Grin

Annianni · 20/04/2013 06:53

the website keeps crashing.
Should have ordered it before!

Have fun today Hopefully and QueenC, I'm rather jealous.

foxysocks · 20/04/2013 07:46

Thanks again all. I just don't get it! No I don't think she's terribly stylish whoever asked, she is v conservative in all aspects of her life really. Anyway, one of those sitches that's probs more about her than me...

Anni I like the black reptile and metallic cobalt. Also blue elephant.

MarshaBrady · 20/04/2013 07:57

I think so Foxy. Being like that usually is.

I take so long on trends I usually miss them altogether. I am thinking about white Marants in the sale but doubt I will as it has been about a zillion years after they launched/ amber got them and they are so ££. So I'll ponder their existence instead.

Anni I like the sound of both, maybe silver has the edge.

Glorious day, looking at houses, would rather stay in the garden in sunshine.

Topazandpearl · 20/04/2013 08:11

Hi everyone! Anni, i have the metallic pewter and I love it. The metallic ones can get scratched quite easily (I already have a few on mine and I have only used it a few times Sad). They are not that bad though, so I'm still glad I have it.
Very rude pf ypur friend foxy. is she a "tell it how I see it person"? I have a friend with very conservative tastes (thinks jackets that are shorter than the top underneath are "sloppy"!) it bugs me that I know she dislikes my choices, but then I dislike a lot of hers Grin.
have a lovely weekend everyone!

Annianni · 20/04/2013 08:32

I ordered the pewter in the end, the silver looks like a mirror in the photos which I wasn't sure about.

Although I would like a slouchy silver bag, like the gold that Gap's done recently.

And I've got silver gigi's and I don't think I need two silver things at the moment.

We're sorting out a veg plot today, dh has got a load of old bricks to do raised beds with and we're going to look for some fruit trees.

Ds2 is very excited about building brick walls.
But he did nearly take ds1's eye out last night with a spade (while I was at Sainsburys)
It was an accident but there was loads of blood. And ds1 could have a scar Sad

Quite glad I was out at the time to be honest, I'm not good with blood :o

Dauphin · 20/04/2013 08:32

Foxy - ignore said 'friend'...some people have funny ideas which they unfortunately feel enabled to spout injudiciously. Clearly you would never follow any style guidance from her, so conversely, shouldn't be influenced by any criticism.

Hi. We are deep in house stuff Decam, and loving it. Not been too stressful, thankfully! Odd glitch...but have been doing all the nice things, like choosing floors, fireplaces, kitchens and bathrooms...oh and lighting (it's virtually a new house!). I have a pin board in the kitchen with my ideas and have been pinterest -ing like mad!

Dad much better, thanks for asking...did have secondary though so had another op about 6 weeks ago...fingers habitually crossed!

How are those lovely girls?

AmberNectarine · 20/04/2013 08:38

It's funny how narrow minded people can be when it comes to fashion choices. I respect anyone with a bit of individuality and the courage to wear the things they love without being totally dictated to by what fashion editors decree is stylish.

Dauphin · 20/04/2013 08:42

The whole house was up at 6am, just after Daddy slammed the door as he left to go take part in an MTB race. Tsk....DD2 (3) is in pink horsey Hatley PJs, pink Tutu and ballet cardigan, and silver ballets...yes, she dressed herself.

Gosh Decam...the party will be a ball (DD will love it!)...Have fun!

Dauphin · 20/04/2013 08:43

Hear hear....

BrandyAlexander · 20/04/2013 09:28

Morning . Supposed to be packing for hols!Grin

carrie74 · 20/04/2013 09:49

Nice one Anni. I'm torn between most of the metallic saddle bags. At the moment I have the metallic cobalt Vogue one in my basket. It's a total bargain, right?

carrie74 · 20/04/2013 09:53

Sod it, I've bought the cobalt metallic large saddle bag (and paid by Paypal balance, so it's free really Grin).

BrandyAlexander · 20/04/2013 10:35

GrinGrinCarrie!

Drywhiteplease · 20/04/2013 14:04

foxy bloody hell! I'm 4620 and I love those trainers! I'm what you call " verging" on conservative but I'd wear those! She's rude. When I like something (whistles sunnies " Mum you look like the gut in Gangman style") I ignore it anyway . If I like it it stays!
I'm [shocked] that anyone would be so rude.
I agree with Amber, I love women with individual style, yesterday in TK Maxx I saw this young assistant all rockabilly/punky style ( but v groomed...beautifully applied make up) with blue dye in her quiff and I told her she looked fab. Obv I'm not going to adopt her style Grin.shes prob mortified that someone her mums age complimented her!!!

Drywhiteplease · 20/04/2013 14:07

OneLittle seems we're from similar parts...Bet I know you in RL Wink

Grin Drywhite
Just ducking in to let y'all know Reiss are offering 30% off selected shoes and bags - so I've ordered my boots (pleased I didn't buy them a few days ago!)
Thanks also for the heads up on the Zatchels flash sale. Bought a cobalt metallic vogue saddlebag for myself and a green elephant satchel for my Dsis' 40th B'day. 50% off not to be sniffed at.

Hopefully · 20/04/2013 18:33

Just popping in to say what a fab day we had, but I will leave it to QueenC to share her diagnosis Grin.

Am having an ebay-browsing session, have decided it's time to embrace, in the absence of an actual clothes budget.

foxysocks · 20/04/2013 18:46

hello all Smile

still feeling totes grim after last night. talked it through with a friend which helped a bit, she reckons there are def jealousy/inadequate issues when it comes to this other 'frenemy' so maybe that's it/ who knows?

anyway. i am tempted by the cobalt zatchel at half price but am put off by the amount of people ordering them on the other place carrie, I am so contrary rofl. also think something slouchier is better for me.

come tell us what happened queenc!

AmberNectarine · 20/04/2013 18:55

Good day here, went to the George at Asda summer collection preview event. I was pleasantly surprised! A couple of things I am definitely going to buy - a botanical print skirt in a sort of neoprene fabric and some aviators with mirrored blue lenses which looked awesome on me. Got totally pampered (hair, make up, manicure) so am going for a drink with DH so as not to waste it. Also popped into &otherstories and bought these beauts and a holographic belt.

foxysocks · 20/04/2013 18:59

oh they are FAB amber. i love pointy flats so much.

i also have grey sweater obsession today, mine is on it's last legs and not quite right anymore.

foxysocks · 20/04/2013 19:01

btw I want to see pics of your boots today, are you going to blog it?

AmberNectarine · 20/04/2013 19:04

Certainly am foxy, the whole outfit in fact. Will probably be live tomorrow morning as I am off out on the lash tonight :)

OneLittleLady · 20/04/2013 19:21

Dry similar parts eh? I'm a bit ninja like so I'm never seen but it's nice to to know there's someone fairly local on these boards Grin
