Good news on the bag Anni and on the EBaying, and glad the Whistles jacket issue sorted - I love it when companies give good customer service. Big tick.

I really should proof read!!

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2013 10:14

Oh Amber, sorry about the Kenzo. They have in on NAP in cobalt (coming soon). Karaoke sounds like great fun.

Shop, lovely news that DH has some interviews, hopefully he'll have some of onelittlelady's DH's luck too.

Anni, glad you've found a cross body bag that you like, think you should call it a different colour than 'mushroom' though Grin.

Hopefully · 13/04/2013 10:23

Lurking but not posting much this weekend as have a guest (don't even get me started). Will deserve a mini-spree by the time the weekend is over, I reckon!

foxysocks · 13/04/2013 10:28

pmsl at hoes.

i like that bag anni. glad it's a keeper. where is your purse from? i REALLY need a new one but don't have big bucks to spend, saying that I want leather, natch.

tried on the vejas again and am starting to falll in loooooove.

BrandyAlexander · 13/04/2013 10:38

Hi all, just swapped RB blue suede courts for a bigger size. 3s too tight, 3.5 ever so slightly loose. So annoying! The witch from last week wasn't there though so didn't have to argue over whether I had really bought it from there or nicked it. Hmm. Also picked up new amethyst and silver bracelet from magnolia jewelry, will see if I can find link later. While I was in RB, I saw the most gorgeous sandals with little gemstones which my mum will love. Will link that later.

About to spend an hour running around high street to see if there is anything I want to buy for holiday! Have a good morning :)

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/04/2013 10:43

Morning all! and what a beautiful one it is too. shop so pleased things are positive.
Anni bummer - so deflating when you don't like what you've been looking forward to. I returned the Boden slingback flats because the &Other Stories gold flats ere sooooo much nicer. Hope you find something you love more.
LeFreak I wore my Maison Scotch cobalt cords pretty much how they'd styled them - chunky cream roll neck sweater and my Marant Dicker rip offs tributes from Mango because it was freakin' freezing in Ireland. I have a lovely cream silk and lace shirt from Zara that looks great with them, but can't link because it's no longer on the website. I intend to put the gold flats on with them too, now the weather has improved (for now)

santamarianovella · 13/04/2013 10:49

I don't know if anyone saw these, but I couldn't resist not linking, there is a wait list for themGrin

Good luck to your DH shop.

they can be very handy! if i wore them,DD will stick with me and not get distracted with every twig and leaf in our path!

AmberNectarine · 13/04/2013 11:13

Even I, the bad taste barometer, think those are awful.

QueenCadbury · 13/04/2013 11:56

Phew, super strength painkillers have done away for the need for sunnies. Loving all the shopping going on and all the links. I'm so desperate for a good splurge myself. 1 week to go till colours done and then I'm hitting the shops!

Drywhiteplease · 13/04/2013 12:10

shop I love these you recommended
from Asos they are my favourites actually and will order when home. Back tomorrow Sad fab time......will report on purchases but 4 cases to sort.

shopafrolic · 13/04/2013 12:30

Not sure I can take the credit for Grazia's editorial work - oh what the hell!

foxysocks · 13/04/2013 12:37

I like those too drywhite, good call.

Annianni · 13/04/2013 14:25

I don't think you'd want a purse like mine then Foxy, it's Prada. :o
But they are very nice and last for ages.

Bad news on the mushroom/taupe bag
On second viewing, it's got a few faults...
Glue on the inside of the flap (where you get into the bag)
and because the bag's a pale colour, it looks a mess.
Paint/dye on the end of the shoulder strap
and also on the shoulder strap (where the leather is joined) the edge hasn't been tucked in properly, so it's left a lump/ridge.

I'd expect that sort of finishing on one of dsd's Top Shop bags, but not on a bag that should have been £130.

I'd already returned the black one, when I did my ebay post office run earlier.
So i've just emailed Jigsaw customer services to ask for a pre-paid postage label.

Let's see if they are as nice as Whistles...

Navy jacket has been procured and will be here Tuesday :o

Now... has anyone seen a nice cross body bag in taupe/grey or black for less than £100?

Oh, and Belsize i've followed you on pin.
I'd re-pinned from you a while ago, I thought I recognised your name.

Annianni · 13/04/2013 14:26

Foxy, the veja's are nice. Keep them :o

Nice shoes Drywhite.

Annianni · 13/04/2013 14:33

I do like the grey Whistles bag that 40bumlady has, but it's more than I want to spend.

Nice bags are usually Christmas and birthday pressies in this house.

Dh is eyeing up my ebay money, to add to his shed fund Hmm
So I need to spend it quick :o

How can sheds be so flipping expensive!?
The one he likes is £1200 which seems obscene...
When I could get this instead

libertychick · 13/04/2013 15:35

Santa mad shoes to keep the DD from wandering away is not a bad idea. I had a nightmare morning with DD in the shops - she is usually ok but today was hell ? grabbing everything. Had to abandon my plans to buy some new eyeshadow.
Foxy I love the veja?s ? what?s putting you off them? For a leather wallet go to TKMaxx ? always a good selection.
Drywhite ASOS Daleys on my wishlist too.
That?s really positive your DH is getting interviews Shop
Anni what?s your budget for a bag and will have a look? Shame about the quality of the Jigsaw ones.

BrandyAlexander · 13/04/2013 17:35

Hi all. I picked up this silver and amethyst bracelet today. Three of my friends turned 40 in February so I bought them amethyst jewellery to mark the occasion and this slipped into the basket.Grin Except they were fab.... I have small wrists so they measured me and made it specially for me, no extra cost! The fit is perfect. They do lovely stuff and have made a fortune out of me this "academic year" as my school and uni friends and I all turn 40.

I love this flower watch and this funky watch but on last count I own about 10 watches so hard to justify!

From my wander to the shops today, I am going to buy this RB jewelled sandal for my mum's birthday. I hesitated today as I got confused between her shoe size and one of my sisters (whom I bought RB knee high suede boots for Christmas).

Annianni · 13/04/2013 19:49

Thanks Liberty, I don't really want to spend more than £100.
Because there's other things I want need.

I quite like the look of this, need to see it irl though. Incase it's a bit blingy :o

QueenCadbury · 14/04/2013 08:12

anni I've been searching for a grey cross body bag for what seems like forever. I've got a £6 one from primark currently until I find 'the one'. Let me know if you find one.

QueenCadbury · 14/04/2013 08:15

anni have you looked at radley? None are quite the shade of grey I'm after but I do like the quality of radley.

QueenCadbury · 14/04/2013 08:17

rose dust looks kind of grey.

QueenCadbury · 14/04/2013 08:23

oasis. When I looked at this the other day it was described as plastic but now seems to be leather. Annoyingly oasis never state the size of their bags so I might check this out irl.
