Beautiful outfit Decameron and good call on the Ash I think. I hope you had a fun evening. The dinner party was good, very highbrow and I felt very out of my depth at times I have to confess! Lots of talk of diamond trading and private jets (not the usual circles we move in at all!) but good fun and the outfit felt right which made me more confident....
Novice can't see the shoes that cause so much pain - hope they weren't too pricey!
Drywhite and Santa if you start linking to leopard print, bodycon and PVC we'll be having words!
QueenC enjoy CenterParcs - we go away just after Easter for a much needed few days break and I can't wait.
Great parka Amber that would liven CenterParcs up a bit!
Justasecond by the time I got home last night the bag had gone :(
But then I mustn't shop right now so that's probably a good thing.....

Morning all. Working from home today, DD gone to playgroup so very peaceful right now.

Good outfits for evenings out Shop and Dec.

Drywhite if you do dress Beverley Hills style on Saturday night you have to take a photo and pin it! I think the DP sandals would work well with boyfriend jeans and a pretty top. Good colour for S/S - the height would put me off of especially for daytime but I know that lots of people can actually walk in heels!

We're not going anywhere for Easter but looking forward to having a few days off. My BR skirt arrived and I am really pleased with it as it works with lots of things I have (navy, grey, white and dark blue) so will give me a spring time look if it ever warms up again.

Grumpy I ADORE that Clare Vivier bag - I have pinned a couple of totes as I need a bag for work that can take my laptop and some folders etc and now I really want that one! But the lack of a zip on top is stopping me....Will think about it for a few days.

A dress I have been stalking on NAP has suddenly popped up on the outnet with a huge reduction but only available in large Sad. Will watch obsessively now for returns - any hints on best times of day to check?

liberty does it have your size crossed out, or not? if so you can click and add to wish list for an alert when it comes back in. but if not there at all I think that means they've never had it in. does that make sense?

i feel utterly grim today. skipped yoga this morning which is unheard of for me. am dressed in sartorial equiv of a hug: olive cashmere sweater and my favourite slouchy jeans (distressed diesels). will add ash camel trainers once muster courage to turn off cbeebies and take DC out. inset day, sob.

anni and decam sorry for getting you two confused. I see gigi, i think anni lol. the ash trainers are great buy, I completely adore both my pairs and they get so much use

still pointy flat obsessed and drawing blanks from googling. plenty of ballerinas in leopard print but none with pointy toes. i really need the pointed ones, from looking at my pins I'm def drawn towards that look atm.

anni i ordered that yellow belt and now it's sold out in S! thanks xx

Sleep great work on the C/Es and Goldsigns. Still tempted on the latter!

Decam I like Ash, and the cobalt gigis too. But I can't do gigis at all due to ahem ballet feet.

Shop your night sounds fantastic! I love friends like that, just for a glimpse into another world. How are you feeling?

Great parka Amber.

Novice doing well, although must be nearly time for a new bag Wink Grin

Drywhite I really like them.

Liberty oh no, do Foxy's thing, or when I was checking for clearance stuff it really was at anytime not just morning.

Foxy you poor thing, hope you feel better soon. Am obsessed too with the leopard pointy flat.

My Vanessa Bruno athe jacket has arrived, missed it the other day.

And after not linking as wasn't sure at all, thought might bring down tone of thread Wink, I really love it!

It's so warm and comfy and fabulously nice tweed. Here V Bruno.
Will wear long tops underneath as has short arms.

Ooh and then the Whistles snakeskin ballet flats turned up by post straight afterwards.

Love those too! Was worried about size 40 as sometimes can be 40.5 but they are perfect.

Will be telling dh how much I've saved, not spent, recently. Outnet and Atterley Rd has been good!

I mean have -> excitement.

And am feeling rather out of it today. I think it's the weather, as if I need to do one last hibernation after nearly getting out of it before. Can't wait for actual Spring - ballet flats and peacoats / jackets weather.

Ok I have ordered the DP sandals with 20% off today. I do think, however, that a £2 delivery charge for in store collection is ridiculous.
Will try with bf jeans and report back. I'm a sucker for a heel daytime perhaps I am a real housewife of BHills style wise. Am going to try on outfits for party now.

Btw had to laugh at DH this morning.....standing in his pants, hands on hips, staring at his shirts " I hate bloody dress down Friday"..... Having a bit of a girlie dressing meltdown! I just said " welcome to my world, and don't wear your going out Paul Smith floral shirt." Grin he nearly said " I don't have a thing to wear"!!!!!!!!!!

Marsha The V Bruno jacket is great - why did you think you'd bring down the tone of the thread? Smile and I am Envy at the Whistles flats - they are all gone now!

Thanks for the outnet tip [Foxy] I have repeatedly tried to put it onto my wishlist in small or medium but it just keeps putting it on in the large! Have decided to log out and try again later. Hope you feel better soon.

I am feeling very spacey today too - really tired and struggling to work. And I look terrible, blotchy skin and tired eyes.

Drywhite my sympathies to your DH - IMO 'Dress down Friday' is a nightmare. One organisation I worked in a few years ago had a dress code and then issued a appendix to the dress code to cover dress down Friday!!! And much harder for men than women.
But the mental image of your DH melting down about it is funny Smile

Thanks Liberty! I have no idea now, bizarre. I think it's because it's not really me, or it wasn't. So when I ordered it I half expected it to be wrong and not good.

I know silly really! I love it now, am really pleased I've ordered stuff I wouldn't usually order. Love all the recent things.

I feel so rubbish too. Glad it's the weekend, although dh doing a very rare work industry-related thing so won't be around.

We got a directive from above stipulating no shorts or 'urban t-shirts' on dress down Friday. Quite what constitutes an urban t-shirt has never been ascertained.

Well his outfit is always the same anyway.....check shirt, chinos or jeans,v neck jumper, brogues .......today though he decided Wellies and ski jacket most practical option!!Grin

Marsha I meant to say I really like those whistles flats. I have the shopper in the same material.

I like the Vanessa Bruno jacket too, what a bargain. I like tweedy jackets though I have loads of not quite right ones in my wardrobe.

Shop your evening sounds good.

Amber I like the neon parka and outfit on your blog!

Report
libertychick · 22/03/2013 16:19

Our dress down directive included no denim Confused. I just wear the same as I do every other day - my work environment is public sector so smart casual rather than overly corporate anyway.
And yes big thumbs up for your blog outfit today Amber

Grumpy, your bag is lovely. As are your new jacket and shoes, Marsha.

Wow at diamond trading and private jets, Shop! I had a good night but I can't do two nights out in a row any more, feel tired today though drank very little. I meet up with some of the mothers in DD1's class, we take turns to host. It's good fun.

That's funny, Drywhite! My Dh wears chinos on Fridays.

I still haven't ordered the Ash. Keep looking at this top and have it in my basket though I know it is probably not very practical. I have a 20% off code I can use, I get two a year and also have a £25 gift certificate to bring down the price. But it is still not a bargain and probably not a wise buy, is it?

Good morning everyone, sorry to hear you've got the lurgy too now foxy, hope you get better soon.

Decameron I love your outfit, have a real soft spot for DVF, first thing I ever bought from NAP, maybe 9 or 10 years ago, was a DVF lace wrap top and it still occasionally comes out today. Also have a gold dress (pinned) that I bought for my wedding party and love.

Shop your evening sounds fun and outfit fab too.

Drywhite please do a BH and show us a pic Grin.

Just back from seeing Bowie exhibition at the V&A, was fantastic, the clothes are amazing. Have on the combo that was exchanged for PJ's and bed 2 weeks ago (can't believe I still don't feel 100%) - Monty and suede J brands and Pistols. Topped off with Joseph shearling as it is freezing out there.

We were hoping to get away for a week somewhere warm over Easter, looking at the Canaries but flights are looking to be around £500Shock so may not be happening now, most upsettingly. I even bought a reduced Pistol Panties bikini Sad. Will have to keep til Whitsun I guess...

Just did a Post Office run with 3 boxes of returns!
liberty I also had the BR yellow skirt but it didn't even make it out of the cellophane bag. I'd had to order one size bigger as they'd sold out of my size and wow, what a difference - it was enormous!
I also returned both pairs of &Other Stories shoes as they were both too big and, as yet, they don't have the smaller sizes available in either which is a big-time bummer as I loved them both. the small yellow top has gone back too, but I did receive its bigger replacement today along with this bracelet and this blouse - really happy with both.
Out to dinner with DH tonight and at the races tomorrow but feel and look completely knackered. Have a scratchy throat and sneezy nose, so it may be a bit of a trial rather than a pleasure. Lots of bronzer!
