I love Foxys coat and Marshas link too. Don't think I could it off though so I admire from afar.

My find of the day is a fireman Sam pack with colouring sheets and stickers in poundland.Grin Shall keep them occupied while I hunt for necklace.

shopafrolic · 30/03/2013 13:02

I'm in Kensington, eating alone at the venue we're going to do our MNV London meet at. Might be too soon to book a table for May!
DS was v poorly this morning and have left him to get my hair done! Bad mummy, but DH insists he'll be fine and TBH he wants daddy cuddles not mummy ones! :(
Fingers crossed you've found it Novice ?

Aww Shop hope your ds feels better soon.

Great you can check out what people are wearing Grin.

libertychick · 30/03/2013 15:14

Oh hope you find the necklace novice and that your DS is better soon Shop.

I love the look of animal print coats but it's a hard look to pull off - I had a mad shaggy grey leopard print coat when I was in uni and it's one of the few things I really regret throwing away.

Started on my Project 333 list - making me realise how boring my wardrobe is and how I have lots of things that don't really work together. On the first draft list I have 33 items: 1 dress, 1 trousers, 3 skirts, 2 jeans, 11 various tops, 3 scarves, 1 hat, 2 'statement' necklaces, 1 belt, 1 watch, 1 jersey blazer, 1 trench coat, 1 warm coat, black loafers, black ballet flats, navy converse, black biker boots.

This is going to send me shopping! I think I should replace one of the skirts with a pair of trousers and one or even two of the tops with a dress. And really not sure how realistic 1 belt is....thing is I am absolutely not going to be obsessive about this - it's to help me focus on which items are genuinely useful and therefore worth investing in better quality and start to get a sense of how much clothing I actually need.

BrandyAlexander · 30/03/2013 15:30

Hope your ds is better soon! He has your dh, enjoy getting your hair done!

Liberty how about a 331 as a starter?

This necklace thing isn't going to end well - On that day, I got the time of my meeting wrong and missed breakfast, broke the necklace, missed my flight home and as a result got v cross with my PA (first time on 9 years) and then left my passport in the car. Talk about a run of annoying things!

libertychick · 30/03/2013 16:01

Yes novice 331 probably more sensible! Especially with this weather - hopefully by May warm coat won't be needed or a hat! And the day you describe sounds like hell Shock

jenny99 · 30/03/2013 17:02

This thread moves quickly!

Thanks for your suggestions re trousers....wanted to update you...

I ended up with 7 (jeans!) in ocean blue so they look not too denimy and very spring-y and some lilac jeans (almost leggings) by a brand I've not heard of before - dr denim. They weren't expensive so I hope they wear well!

Also really debating Day birger & mikkelson mirage trousers but not sure how much I will actually wear them.

Hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend x

foxysocks · 30/03/2013 19:14

i'm really not sure I can pull off the leopard coat, liberty, you are right it's such a hard look. will try it with all black, or black top and blue jeans, and make a decision next week.

gigs arrived, and surprisingly I think i will return. they aren't leather (?!) and only just fit, despite me ordering a 39 when i'm usually a 38 (37 in jalouse). weird. I cannot see an occasion where i would choose them over silver havianas, which I already have, in which case it makes no sense to keep them.

also not sure on the zara denim jacket. it fits really well - quite shrunken, but v neat over the shoulders which i love - and is a nice weight. but not 100% on the finish - it's not as good as I remember when I tried in store. need to try on with a few diff outfits then decide. it's the only item I've paid full price for in months, if it's not right I'll def send back.

still on the elusive one-yellow-item for SS hunt after the belt dis-arse-tah . think a tee might be perfect for me, to wear with denim and the grey R&B biker. I saw the all saints silk tee in lemon in store yesterday and was really underwhelmed - very thin, tacky material and the finishing was awful... in poor quality way rather than cool-distressed way. anyone seen nice yellow tees on their travels?

QueenCadbury · 30/03/2013 20:43

I rocked my fishnet pop socks last night!

novice have you found the jewellery?

I couldn't do 333. I like to have the choice of my whole wardrobe, jewellery and converse and it would stress me out too much if I was limited!

QueenCadbury · 30/03/2013 20:49

amber I love the top on today's blog. Weirdly I would have discounted it before trying it on because of the pocket as I always thought they didn't sit right on the larger chest but you're a similar size to me and it looks fine! Might have to do a sainsbo's shop next week.

MarshaBrady · 30/03/2013 21:01

QueenC I noticed 25% off Sainsbo's clothes today.

libertychick · 30/03/2013 21:37

Popsocks and sainsbo's clothing Shock
There are people right now afraid to click on this thread as they assume it's all uber cool and aspirational Grin

Glad to hear you had a good night QueenC

TBH the 333 thing is just making me realise I barely have 33 decent items of clothing...

AmberNectarine · 30/03/2013 21:40

Seriously though , it is lovely - nicer than the Whistles offerings year on year. This is just the 'More dash than cash' section at the moment...

libertychick · 30/03/2013 21:59

The top looks lovely on you on the blog pic Amber - I'll definitely take a look when I am next in there...and so hard to get 100% cotton now - have to grab when you see it.

Annianni · 31/03/2013 07:23

The top does look lovely Amber
I'll look in Sainsburys on Monday for it.

I did try the Gap one but it wasn't quite right.

MarshaBrady · 31/03/2013 10:18

Happy Easter Sunday [busmile].

Beautiful sunny day! Have an Easter / birthday party later, what's everyone up to today?

jenny99 · 31/03/2013 10:38

foxysocks are you still looking for a yellow t? I had a lovely one last year - very plain and simple but love it, from American Vintage. Not sure what colours they are doing this year but they usually have a huge range :)

MarshaBrady · 31/03/2013 10:42

Foxy this MaxMara one is a great colour. Could be a bit much for a t, but free delivery today.

BrandyAlexander · 31/03/2013 11:13

Happy Easter everyone! We have already been out to church and back. In our absence, the Easter bunny delivered presents from the huge sack I took away at Christmas as they had so much.Winktwo very happy dcs eating snacks and playing right now.

We are hoping to stay home all day as its been manic for weeks but might have to pop out later and visit family.

Hope you're all having fab days.Smile

carrie74 · 31/03/2013 14:48

Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny has been, my brother has sent the children a bundle of Lego and toys which they've been building and playing with, and will hopefully FaceTime him in an hour (he's in Texas, so with us in Florida, for once we're not too far!). Feel bad for not sending things for his children, but I'm not a big one for Easter gifts really, other than an egg each. Will have to make up for it with birthday and Xmas...

Not much shopping to report here, and we've only got until Thursday before we leave (sob). We're hoping that when we're older, we'll winter here, but it seems such a long way off until we're in that position. I've already enquired about a house for next Easter in Naples, which we stayed in last Easter...can't get enough of the Florida sunshine and seafood.

Foxy, I think with the right styling, animal coats can look SO cool, and sure you'll pull it off, I like your pins. Shame the Gigis didn't work out, they do seem to run v v small, I had to try out 3 sizes before getting the right pair (and that was AFTER I was measured). I lived in a pair of pretend-y ones last summer, so glad to get the real thing, and have already worn them quite a bit here. V comfy.

Amber lovely Sainsbos top. They seem to be really upping their game (although I can't actually remember the last time I set foot in a supermarket, let alone a Sainsburys - I live too rurally and can't bear taking the childer with me, so it's Ocado all the way).

shopafrolic · 31/03/2013 20:07

Happy Easter all - DS still poorly so not the best of days but had my parents for roast lunch which was lovely. Off on our few days away tomorrow. Cannot wait for a break. Will check in if I can but if not, have a great week oh stylish ones........

Hi everyone, happy Easter, hope you have all had lovely days. We just got back from my mum's and a huge roast dinner. Another one lined up tomorrow at IL's Smile

Great coat foxy! I am also loving the idea of us all rocking up to MU in French fashion editor uniform, would be very funny and I like my white jeans Smile

I managed to get all my returns sorted on Thursday without buying too much to replace them, picked up these jeans which I am undecided about and also an orange bucket bag for holidays, no worries about squashing it under plane seats or getting sand everywhere, unlike my Falabella.

Sleepwhenidie · 31/03/2013 21:05

[[http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-neu-S2013/358019/1156020/BUCKET+BAG+WITH+SIDE+POCKET this is bag, sorry for separate posts, iPad keeps losing what I've typed when I get links Confused

I am thinking of ordering some jeans from MW as I have a voucher for £60 that needs to be used before the end of tomorrow...but we are going to be away for next two weeks. I could get them delivered to where we are staying in Cornwall but how long does MW typically take to arrive outside London? It would be a headache if we left before it arrived...leaving Saturday. WWYD?

Sleepwhenidie · 31/03/2013 21:06

doh, bag

Topazandpearl · 31/03/2013 21:57

Hi sleep, could you phone and ask? Otherwise, could you have them delivered to a relative or friend? Enjoy your holiday [buenvy] [busmile].
