Pub quiz here - team of two against teams of five Shock we were winning at half way stage then I had to take ds home......dp came fourth on his own :) (and we'd badly played our joker...) next time...

Hope things are sorted Cremo.

I went to a very nice party and we are going to friends for lunch which will involve meat Grin and gratifyingly I do not have a hangover (three glasses of wine, get me living on the edge!)

bigTillyMint · 24/03/2013 13:03

Great news Crem!

Me neither MI - I had a few G&T's early and then went onto diet coke/tonic onlySmile

Now trying to pack for our hols before going for a curry for DS's birthday (with DD's boyfriend too!)

Cremolafoam · 24/03/2013 13:16

Ooh BTM who is the boyfriend ?

OP posts:
Blackduck · 24/03/2013 13:35

Where you off on hols BTM?

MrsSchadenfreude · 24/03/2013 14:23

I have been to the market. We had bread, cheese and rillettes for lunch and drank all of the wine I bought to go with dinner tonight. Blush The rendang is marinading nicely and will go in the slow cooker in the next hour. House guests have furminated both cats and the bin is now half full with fur. Shock

Got two bottles of Bioderma cleanser on offer. East Street market won't be able to compare to this when I get back (although will, I suspect, be considerably cheaper).

bigTillyMint · 24/03/2013 14:45

Cremo, boy from her tutor group who she used to moan about in Y7! He seems lovely - very polite, very tall and good-looking - I can see the attactionWink

We are off to ThailandSmile

East Street market is fab, MrsS - always call in for some dodgy bargains when I am passing!

Cremolafoam · 24/03/2013 15:16

Oh BTm have a fabulous trip- how exciting ! Like the sound of your dds squeeze!
Mrs S sounds like your weekend with visitors has been more tolerable than expected !Grin

We are out digging my car out of snow. At the very least there is heat to get back to inside. I grew up in house without heat except open fires in the living room and an aga in the kitchen. I have become soft I think - complete inability to suffer total lack of mod cons for all of two days.GrinBlush

Oh can I come?! Makes my 5 days in Kefalonia seem rather pathetic......
(We are, for some reason, tres broke...)

bigTillyMint · 24/03/2013 15:22

BD, Kefalonia will be fab - I had some great holidays in Greece in my previous lifeSmile

Cremo, I don't know how you could possibly have managed without heat for 2 whole days. I HATE being cold!

So come on ruby, what's the story about your toof?

Stropperella · 24/03/2013 18:00

BD and BTM - have a great time on your hols. Ahhhh sun :)

MrsS, so glad to hear your visitors are behaving themselves.

I just watched ds playing the piano in a concert. I was v. nervous and twitchy (I tend to delegate these things to dh as I actively dislike them so much), but ds was not in the least bit nervous and did really well. I had a - rather unaccustomed - proud mummy moment.

Yes, Ruby, do tell about your tooth.

Crem, thinking of you every time I hear the weather forecast at the moment.

Wow Ruby that is some story. ... Just think on the bright side - weight loss over Easter. :)
Reminds me of being in Thailand with dp who had raging tooth ache and refused to go to a dentist. On coming home it turned out that a capped tooth still had a live nerve in it (dentist cock up), but because it was over three months since the treatment his choices were:
A. Drill through cap to have nerve removed.
B. remove cap, have it done and cap replaced (mega bucks)
C. Take the chance it didn't recur..

Went for C. And it didn't....but he was popping horse pills for some time...

bigTillyMint · 24/03/2013 20:30

Oh rubyShock Fingers tightly crossed that the drugs and your dentist friend who can sort it out work! What a complete mare {{{{}}}}

BD, your story is not filling me with confidence. I have truly crap teeth. As my lovely little pupils point out on a regular basis - they are nothing if not truthful!

Well, I've met the boyfriend's mum too now as she came by to pick him up. She is very nice tooSmile Wonder how long it'll last!

Cremolafoam · 24/03/2013 22:12

JC on a bike RubyHmm that's absolutely grim. Please make this stupid weather go away so you can get to your treatment. HOW did the dentist treat THE WRONG TOOTH. He had X-rays FGS !!
I am horrified by your story, especially having suffered raw root and nerve pain myself( shattered the lot in a car crash once) I hope the drugs you get are spectacular .
Blimey hope you've had the rest if the wine tooGrinWineThanks
BTM hope the relationship survives he sounds nice.

Dd and I have been at loggerheads today. She's been snappish and surly and thankless and her room is a sty.
I have lost it once Blush
Back from Berlin with an attitood. Too much swagger for my taste and all grumpy because of sleep deprivation. RAaaaaaaagj!
And the powers orf again which is trying my patience.

Blackduck · 25/03/2013 08:50

Corned beef hash, corn beef or spam fritters :)

Crem - hope the power is back, you really have had one hell of a weekend.

bigTillyMint · 25/03/2013 10:56
