I am sooo sick of this weather (and of those of you jetting off to warmer places). I have given up hope of ever wearing my spring wardrobe.

Don't mention corned beef. DM used to serve a creation called Hot Salad, which was just as bad as the name suggests. Principal ingredients included corned beef, chicory and cooked celery. The melted cheese topping was the only edible bit.

CV, that's just a crime against gastronomy, that is.

Gosh the tooth story isn't filling me with confidence for my dental check up next week. I can't believe you had to wait 6 weeks for an emergency appointment! I'm sure all my teeth are crumbling.

I just saw poor sheep being dug out of the snow on TV.

Meanwhile I'm having my trees topped and have had an entertaining morning watching two rather nice young men swinging through my trees in harnesses.

Cv that's sounds gross - sorry. Don't get me wrong I'm partial to a bit of corned beef . But warm salad just sounds gak.

Assuming it is the stress of the last few days. All this keeping warm lark is exhausting.I'm shattered.
So much for style and beauty. What oh crepeys is the received wisdom on these malformations. Steam? Poultice ? Some other kind of woo?

waah - it's gone cold again. I'm back in my snuggly jumper, which I have washed and worn constantly for about 3 months now. Next year I must try and have at least two favourite jumpers if the climate is going to continue like this.

Oh, when is it going to warm up. This time last year, I went to the local lambing in shorts and a T shirt..... Yes, I know BTM will be in 30 degrees!

On hols next week, hurrah, left work today with complete chaos, as childcare had broken down and children seemed scattered to the wind... still all gathered home now, apart from dd2, who is on a residential and is back tomorrow... She's 7, I can't imagine how it's been!

I sent her off with snow boots, with lots of screams of 'it doesn't say snow boots, it says wellies!'... By the time we got to shorts and sun cream, I drew the line 'It's not going to happen, it's -2 outside!'

Anyway, the cast on the broken thumb on ds comes off on Thursday as does the dreaded root canal.... Can we have joint dental prayers for Ruby and I on Thursday, please? I am sh*ing myself.....
