Is there a new bra intervention thread somewhere?

All of the other ones are closed now and I still need some help!

My current bras don't fit (weight loss ) the cups are loose, but the wires don't touch but round the middle seems OK

I didn't measure it like that - & I can't just now as I'm at work

But even with my bra on horizontally it's closer to 42

OK, a 34 and a 42 would suggest a starting size of 34FF which matches what you're wearing.

Is the central gore sitting flat?

If you put your bra on back to front how tight or loose is the band? How far can you pull it from your body?

Are you scooping?

(Please dont take your bra off and dangle your norks at 90 degrees whilst at work. It's generally frowned upon.)

Especially as I work in a nursery ( I am off duty tho - back off to work now.....won't be back until after 6)

Ok, well, my Bravissimo order arrived - and is all going back (I called and got the P&P refunded, great tip thanks!). I tried the Vetsy Bow - not tooo bad, but the 34H gaped at the top, and the 32 band was too small, and they are out of stock of the 34GG, plus it dug uner my arms......... the Melrose full cup was just BIG and awful - like scaffolding, centre gore too high for any of my tops. And the Sratburst plunge - just.......... awful, thought my boons were going to come out the middle.

I had a good old chat with the woman from Bravissimo on the phone and she has suggested the Panache Jasmine, as it is shaped like the Cleos at the bottom, but tlike the Andorra at the top. new colours out in summer.

I have had success though with my Pour Moi? full cup in 32H, so may order some more of those.

It's bloody hard work this. And althoug the Pour Moi is ok, the shape isn't great, but seems the best I can do for now.

I find bra shopping worse than jeans shopping, and that's saying something! I tried over 40+ bras and spent over £650 on finding just three, THREE (!) bras that were great for me The rest went back for refunds though - I don't have £500 worth of spare bras lying around

I checked the size on my leia bra and it was a 30dd. Its a deco moulded shape. I've worn it all day and Thu I can't wait to take it off. Its digging in all around my ribs. I have a bony chest. The under arm is digging in, the wired are hurting and when I take it off it looks like I still have the bra on from all the red outline marks. Plus its gaping on the cup. I have low slung little boobs and don't think this style is working for me as my boobs are sqished at the gore but the bra is empty at the top. What can I do? someone needs to set up a descreet photo service where we can send our bra photos for advice.

Imlost - the Deco doesn't suit everyone. Moulded bras are tricky because they don't adapt to your shape like normal bras.

I do have marks when I take my bra off - not gonna lie about that - but it is one neat outline set rather than big wide marks from the bra moving about.

From what you have said and your measurements my suspicion is a style issue first and foremost.

32 and 44 would put you at around a 32HH

So, do they even make them?

Surely not & if they did it probably wouldn't fit

& the bit in the middle at the front will never touch my skin

They do make em - promise! (I'm a 30HH myself and I promise you, I have a LOT of bras!)

However - a 32HH is (roughly) 3 cup sizes bigger than you are currently wearing. The combination of that and the smaller back should mean that the central gore will start to sit flush.

Have faith KatyMac, have faith! They do make them and you will find something that fits, I promise! It's a lot of trial and error and trips to the post office sending things back, but it's worth it in the end

Its really difficult isn't it. I went from a DD to an E cup and went to John Lewis. I am a 30".

I bought 2 bras but what I found was that they made marks in my chest at the front as the middle bit comes up higher than I was used to. Luckily they took one back as I had only worn it twice as you could see it indenting me.

I find Fantasie Bras quite good and Freya. Even the comfy one I had bought a few weeks before came up high and tended to mark on one side.

Don't be discouraged if nothing in your order fits! Even if you know your size, you still need to find the brands and models that suit you - I have gone through a lot of bras that pinch, rub, gape or generally do not fit, even if they are the right size, perfectly normal. Just like the same size 5 shoe does not fit all size 5 feet.

I am currently bfeeding and was measured as a 34f. I have a really red mark along where the bra sits on rib cage and it lasts for ages. Does this mean I have the wrong size?

Oh I know how to start one, will have a go and try to link. If I don't manage it I will post it in S & B - meet me there!

Tweet2tweet Not necessarily. My bras give me red marks but the marks tend to be in the same place and quite thin. A badly fitting bra will move around and give more widespread marks IYSWIM?

I went to M & S yesterday but was a 32DD in their styles. I managed to buy some bras there which I am pleased about and the fit was very good on some I tried on.

What do others think about M&S bras. I have got some limited edition and per una ones in the sale. I didn't like the plunge padded bras as I don't want cleavage particularly.

They don't do much in my size but the ones I've tried haven't been great quality.
