All of the other ones are closed now and I still need some help!

IYHAYKI I have just received a HP and the shape is good, quite wide straps. I did find it very very tight in the band, it's the Koktaji.

blackteaplease · 28/03/2013 20:11

It is a bit harder, but the picture of the bra on the model definitely is flatter. I have just spoken to a lovely lady on the phone at Bravissimo, she recommended a 28G. I have just remeasured and I am 29 on the band, not 30 nor 31 which I was last week!

I was holding off as I still have a stone of babyweight to shift but my breastpads keep falling out of my bra which isn't good.

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/03/2013 20:13

Ah - yes definitely try going down in the back. However, a 28G is down 2 cup sizes from the 30GG. Do you think you have that much space?

blackteaplease · 28/03/2013 20:19

I think so, I can fit my whole fist in on top of my boob.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 28/03/2013 20:42

Thanks both for your EM help. Currently looking at their site again. Brain ache!

ScentedNappyHag · 28/03/2013 20:42

I've given in and measured myself, can anyone help? I measure 36 under my boobs and 42 over, and an online calculator just recommended a 40dd Shock a bit different to the 36b I'm currently wearing!

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/03/2013 20:46

Run away from the online calculator.

On those measurements - start with a 36E.

ScentedNappyHag · 28/03/2013 20:49

E Shock Grin off I go to the shops tomorrow to try out my new lady boobs! Thanks statistically Thanks

EMUZ · 28/03/2013 23:24

I ordered 3 bras - don't know if this will help anyone!

Bravissimo laurel - came up slightly small in cup, perfect in back, amazingly low wires
Bravissimo darling heart - love it Smile low wires, perfect in cup an back
Panache Elsa - too big in back and cup but centre gore fitted perfectly. Am exchanging for a band size down

Panache Jasmine - just gorgeous Smile slightly higher wires but not armpit diggers. Stretchy top of cup as made of lace stretch fabric. Came up big in back so exchanging for band size down

SorrelForbes · 29/03/2013 00:05

EMUZ - interesting thanks. However, I think in right in think that if the cups are fitting right but the band is too big, you need to order a band size down and a cup bigger. The same cup in a smaller band will have less volume.

EMUZ · 29/03/2013 06:29

Yep definitely - just realised I put that on the panache jasmine but I think I have enough leverage in the cup, as am slightly between sizes.. Shall see when it arrives!

Pseudonymity It sounds as if your boobs are quite 'shallow' so the root is wide but they don't project very far forward?
The shallowest t shirt bra I've found has been the Freya Deco, which also has fully adjustable straps so you can shorten them as far as you like.

pseudonymity · 29/03/2013 09:59

Yup, they are shallow. They are not that sticky out no. HoF girl said they were a lot bigger than she thought when she went in for a grope! Is that how they do bra measuring these days Blush ? Freya deco I've looked at before and quite fancy - will give it a go thanks. What size do you reckon with 30 under 38 on the bust? 30 E/F or something?

StatisticallyChallenged · 29/03/2013 10:10

pseudo 30/38 is roughly a 30FF. I'd be inclined to try an F and an FF in the Deco as IME it runs quite big in the cup. I was still managing to fit my wide but shallow norks in a 30GG when I was well in to H's in most others.

pseudonymity · 29/03/2013 10:44

Thanks SC : )

tallulahpolly · 29/03/2013 16:26

Hello, been following these threads with interest and finally got round to measuring myself.
35" and 45"
I am currently breastfeeding and will be for at least another 5 months if possible so need a nursing bra and a good sports bra for when I eventually start running again. Any help much appreciated.
Oh currently wearing a 36 or 38 C ( I think )[bublush]

EMUZ · 29/03/2013 16:28

I would try a 34HH, 34J, 36HH and 36HH

EMUZ · 29/03/2013 16:29

Sports bra depends on what size as shock absorber go to HH but quite small cups. Bravissimo do their own brand Inspire sports bra or Royce do one too

tallulahpolly · 29/03/2013 16:39

Thank you!
I will google those sports ones, do you know the best high street shops for the nursing ones in that size?

shallweshop · 29/03/2013 16:48

I have been lurking with interest and would like some advice. I used to wear a 36c but a few months ago I went to a local independent lingerie shop and was fitted as a 32E! I couldn't quite believe it but came away with two new size bras. They do give me a lovely shape but they feel really tight and by the end of the day I can't wait to get them off. Are they the right size? I measure 31.5 inches under boobs and 36 over.

Thanks.

EMUZ · 29/03/2013 16:51

I'm not great on nursing ones but I think bravissimo have some - I shop with them because exchanges are easy, they can fit you over the phone, and if a wire comes out within 6 months they replace it (hand wash)

EMUZ · 29/03/2013 16:52

shallweshop - how is the cup size? And can you get 2 fingers under the band? Different brands have different tightness, they should be firm and some can take a while to give. Can feel weird for a bit too if you've been wearing loose bands

shallweshop · 29/03/2013 17:07

Cup size seems fine - no horrible double boob effect like before! Not sure about 2 fingers under band as I haven't got new one on at the moment (i am wearing a sports bra as other one got too uncomfortable!!). All I know is even on the loosest fastening it feels tight. If I want to go up a size should I just keep same cup size and go up to a 34E?

EMUZ · 29/03/2013 17:10

You need to go down a cup if you go up a band so 34DD
Might be worth trying a few different bands - I have a 32 I can't close and a 32 that's perfect

EMUZ · 29/03/2013 17:10

Brands not bands Grin
