oh i LOVE that queenc.

I am quite flat chested. well i'm a C cup i think (not been measured since DS was born over two years ago, whoops) but only about 28/30 around my ribcage. so that still comes out as pretty small in the boob dept.

Decameron · 15/03/2013 14:35

Lovely necklaces, QueenCadbury.

I've been looking at that shirt too, Foxy, I like it. I think I'll get the black cowl neck top instead though to go under jackets. It's a good discount.

foxysocks · 15/03/2013 14:39

oh good, me too decam. i like it more each time I look at it. so tempted to order and try it on.

i can't wear cowl necks at all unfortunately. well, I have one that works (a nicole farhi tee) but mainly they look crap on me! it is a good discount isn't it, must make up my mind before midnight

Decameron · 15/03/2013 15:07

It is a great discount. Tempting, tempting!

Hope the ill DCs get well soon.

BrandyAlexander · 15/03/2013 16:16

So while I was looking at QueenC's lovely new necklace from Wallis earlier, ahem, I saw this cotton dress which I quite like.

Thanks for the good wishes for all the ill dcs (and Shops's dh). :)

Foxy will bear that in mind although looking at the bags again I think I will probably keep the yellow and return the pink one.

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2013 09:12

Foxy I have one shirt (and it's one that requires a jumper as has a funny panel thing). I'd like a summer one too. I like the Baukjen one.

Also cannot to cowl necks. They just look so bad on me, anyone else have an item they just can't do? Oh and sandals.

Liberty really like your outfit yesterday

I wore Stella grey moto skinnies, tangerine t and I&I soft slate grey v neck. I've finally got round to doing a clear out of old had-it jumpers. They were pretty bad so thank goodness for cheapo new stuff.

Hope everyone is feeling better.

foxysocks · 16/03/2013 09:34

Had a last minute change of heart on the shirt, I think I'd prefer something like this

www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shirtsandtops/denimchambray/PRDOVR~60059/60059.jsp?TCode=GGBS00003&sisearchengine=197&siproduct=60059&noPopUp=true&origin=pla&cagpspn=pla

Was at a friends last night and she has the baukjen one in a caramel colour, tried it on and it's a bit too short for me. I hate the fact baukjen don't do free returns, might have ordered to try on if they did.

That's no problem justasecond, just thought I would throw it out there!

Love the sound of tangerine and grey marsha

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2013 09:38

Oh yes I love that one more Foxy, good call.

I'd love a J Crew shirt too for summer.

justasecond · 16/03/2013 10:41

Morning!
This thread really is addictive isn't it?
I love the sound of your colour combo Marsha btw I don't do sandals either, feet too big or cowl necks, they look fussy on me.
Foxy much prefer the Jcrew chambray shirt but then I love chambray I recently bought this cheapo biker style jacket when I was in Paris
www.stradivarius.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/bundle/stradivariusfr/fr/stradivarius/541001/2420001LOOK%2B1.Its a great fit and hangs really well, its viscose rather than cotton but then don't think cotton wouldhang well. On the lookout for a longer top to wear under now.

BrandyAlexander · 16/03/2013 11:18

Morning all! Another bad night with the bubs so we aren't going anywhere today. Wearing lovely grey with pink side stripes superdry trackie bottoms, Abercrombie & Fitch pink tee and Primark pink sweater. Seeing that written down I realise I sound like a teenagerGrin

QueenCadbury · 16/03/2013 11:39

Oh novice have some Brew and Wine later.

foxy much prefer the j crew one.

marsha I can't do shirts-collars look dreadful on me and although I'm slim the buttons normally pull over my boobs and tummy (my problem area). Also can't do skinny jeans as look like a parsnip, boyfriend jumpers and carigans as then look like I have an elephant arse (despite having a big arse it's better if it's not covered in layers of fabric), t shirts with clingy stuff in as they cling to my flabby tummy, belts on dresses, tops tucked in, anything too on trend (I just look naff and try too hard). Gosh, that's quite a long list Grin

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2013 11:45

Lol QueenC Grin.

I also can't do shirts without collars, long line cardigans, hats (can do beret or 70s style sun hat just), statement jewellery, a line skirts and have finally come to terms with the fact I mustn't buy silk scarves.

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2013 11:47

Love that shirt and whole look Justa especially with the yellow shoes and light blue.

Novice hope all better soon!

Decameron · 16/03/2013 12:07

Glad I went for the cowl neck instead of the shirt, Foxy, it would be too short on me too, I'd say.

I can't do maxis, I hate them (not on others, just on me), too much fabric, they make me feel really dowdy or like I am about to glide up the aisle. I had a Splendid racerback one a few years ago that I liked for the beach but that was it.

I am wearing my new bargain cashmere and J Brand straight leg jeans. It's a dreary day so going to take the DDs for a drive.

Hope the baby gets well soon, Novice.

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2013 12:50

Have a good drive Decam!

Yes I like these things on other people, probably why I get seduced by them, especially thinking I can do a silk / cotton scarf. But I'm learning to avoid the wrong stuff (for me).

Pseudonymity · 16/03/2013 15:18

Hello! I really love hearing about people's no-no items. Some of yoursare my essentials! E.g. silk scarves and dresses with belts, statement jewellery and maxis! They are all standard for me. I can't do shirts at all, brogues/lace-ups in general, boxy jackets, long jackets, tailored trousers and...deep breath...jeans are not my best friend unless I want to rock the Kim Kardashian booty look - sigh.

carrie74 · 16/03/2013 15:26

Baaaa. AKA, guess who also now has the Next jersey biker? Tried it on today, and instantly loved it, and wore it out of the store. Perfect for plane wear next week(excited squeal and jump).

Gap had amazing markdowns on pretty much all Spring stock today: some great shirts 20% off, jumpers 60% off. And despite nothing catching my eye last weekend in Bath, could have bought loads today (but holding off. Surely Gap will be even cheaper in US?).

Prefer the chambray too Foxy.

Novice hope you're all back to normal v soon.

I'm sure there's loads I can't wear, but I think I've got so used to shopping for my shape, I don't even register no no items anymore.

foxysocks · 16/03/2013 15:36

ooo well done carrie! does that mean the atterley rd one is going back? the next one does look lovely and at that price you can bash it around a bit without being too precious. did you go to cribbs?

I can't wear necklaces at all, they really annoy me. I also struggle with belts unless they are low slung on the hips, worn on the waist I just feel uncomfortable.

anything with too short arms also drives me mad, another plus of the R&B biker is that the sleeves are SO long.

carrie74 · 16/03/2013 16:01

Have FBed you Foxy [kleek]. Yes, Cribbs this am (Cribbs is so weird ATM with so many shops closed and closing and moving).

Haven't decided on AR one yet. Still waiting on the Me &Em one (have chased, and it's on its way apparently...), as may well keep one for workwear.

Oh just remembered how much I HATE 3/4 length arms on things. Because I have long arms and legs things cut short just look...too small on me. 3/4 length sleeves hit on my elbow bend, making them the most uncomfortable item of clothes ever. And trying to fit something over the top? No chance. Grrr, it's making me cross just thinking about them.

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2013 16:27

I just ordered something with 3/4 length sleeves. But may be hideous. A Vanessa Bruno jacket, cheapo from the outnet. Am seeing it in rl before linking Grin

QueenCadbury · 16/03/2013 16:29

carrie/foxy I'm really hoping we get some good replacement shops in cribbs. Apparently we're getting a huge topshop where whsmith was. Not much use for me as the only time I've bought stuff in topshop in the last few years is their maternity stuff.

MarshaBrady · 16/03/2013 16:48

It is funny hearing about the no nos.

Pseud I can't do lace ups either.

Carrie good one on the Next jacket.

Oh and funnel neck coats noooo.

QueenCadbury · 16/03/2013 16:54

I can't do high necked things either. Or statement jewellery (although I'm giving this 1 last chance with the2 necklaces I've ordered as I love statement necklaces). Or scarves (I look like a dick quite frankly).

shopafrolic · 16/03/2013 17:38
