Any thoughts on thisor this anyone?

QueenCadbury · 14/03/2013 20:19

Yep novice mine's in cot too. I give it another hour before she wakes!

BrandyAlexander · 14/03/2013 20:25

Wow, that first one is gorgeous. Had never heard of beaded collar before. Not so keen on 2nd because I think less versatile and with wrong thing could look frumpy.

You're on for 3amWink I hope not though!Grin

I've ordered the first one on your advice novice! I always loved it last year but for some reason I never bought it. I feel I deserve it for looking after sick dc Grin

AmberNectarine · 14/03/2013 21:23

Well the Iris and Ink cashmere is fab, definitely keeping! Also the Helmut Lang vest. The Paris are too big and therefore not staying, not sure about the I&I dress - need to try with tights and shoes.

Next quilted biker also arrived and is brilliant.

shopafrolic · 14/03/2013 21:51

Good news Amber

BrandyAlexander · 14/03/2013 22:11

Great QueenC, let us know what it's like. My top half is too short to be able to carry it off, but it is beautiful.

Shop, did your dh have a key day yesterday? How did it go?

Amber, it's a long time since I saw anyone describe anything from next as brilliant. Bravo!Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 14/03/2013 22:33

Thanks for the honest opinions on the dress - i was quite ambiguous about it, now you've convinced me to steer clear!
I have been playing around on & Other Stories website today and bought this, this and these navy flats. I very nearly added these too, but have left them for another day. I've also succumbed to this clutch as a bit of an afterthought, but think it'll be really versatile. Need to have a sort through of my wardrobe as there's plenty to ebay (and Lord knows I need to after all my recent splurges!)

libertychick · 14/03/2013 22:54

Annianni that peacoat is fab ? what a great buy! And thank you for selling your sweater to justasecond who has just very kindly sold her?s to me!
Dec one of your Jbrand links didn?t work for me but the zip capri?s look great.
Marsha and Popcornia great JCrew links ? when are they opening in London? I must start saving as I suspect I will be like a child in a sweet shop in there!
Novice and QueenC ? fingers crossed for some sleep tonight. QueenC check out Wallis for cheap bib necklaces if you just want to try the look out. I got a great black diamante style one just after Christmas for about £5 in sale and it looks great with lots of things. Wallis is my sneaky fashion secret for cheapo bling. See here
Interesting re the Next biker Amber I also really like the pink blazer from Next you featured on your blog.
Grumpy would love to hear feedback on the quality of the &other stories stuff when you get it. The BR clutch looks v useful.
Foxy I am enjoying all your outfit descriptions ? v inspiring.

libertychick · 14/03/2013 23:30

Hope you have a great night out sleep - want to hear what you wore in the end.

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2013 08:10

Excellent re I&I Liberty!

Summer I think, will be great to try stuff on.

Annianni · 15/03/2013 08:10

I like both of the collars QueenC.

Fab news Liberty, hope you like it. It's lovely and soft.

I quite like that dress Grumpy.

What's everyone wearing today?
I'm in Hudson skinnys with the m&s lace sweatshirt.

It's too cold to wear my peacoat yet, need better weather before I get my wrists out.

MarshaBrady · 15/03/2013 08:12

Grumpy fab Other Stories buys.

QueenC great collar and Novice fab enabling.

Annianni · 15/03/2013 08:13

There's some lovely things on that website Grumpy, report back when you get them please.

Annianni · 15/03/2013 08:16

15% off Donna Ida today, if anyone's interested?

And who wanted those animal print Sam Edelman ankle boots?
I found some cheap size 7's last night, i'll link later.

QueenCadbury · 15/03/2013 09:30

novice how was your night? Mine was marginally better but still knackered so have out on my fleece and sweatpants again today

liberty you're right there is some good stuff on the wallis site but nothing that I can imagine wearing. I'm not sure what the collar necklace will be like but I need one to play around with at home and if it doesn't work then I can at least put that trend out of my mind.

amber glad you've had success with the next jacket. Some of their stuff is surprisingly nice but I just find the cut and fit of things a bit odd but maybe that's just me.

grumpy please do report back about other stories. I saw some nice tops on the site but am reluctant to order in case they don't fit.

foxysocks · 15/03/2013 09:45

ugh sorry you are having a tough time queenc. DD had massive strop on the way to school this morning which was horrible

anni i like that lace sweatshirt a lot, they were all sold out by the time i clicked the link to see.

i'm wearing a floral tea dress (from a bristol boutique - pink lemons for those who know glos rd) which was this >< close to getting charity shopped but have decided to give it one more chance. have attempted to roughen up the look a bit by wearing over a l/s charcoal top (primark) with black opaques (wolford), black biker boots (brora) and the R&B biker jacket. i think it works ok actually, although the dress is on the edge of too short ?

was also half thinking of trying the same dress with this look pinterest.com/pin/250231323018196244/ but i don't have a skinny belt

BrandyAlexander · 15/03/2013 10:45

Grim, grim night. I was up till 3.15am. Finally got 3 hours of sleep which I needed given the baby was sick on me 3 times. I can happily report that I am at the opposite end of the chic spectrum today with my Primark long tee shirt and track suit bottoms.GrinGrin Glad yours was a better night QueenC.Smile

Today I am wearing this jumper with this skirt, black opaques and loafers.

Anni I like those Edelman boots but need a 6....

Like the sound of your outfit Foxy

QueenCadbury · 15/03/2013 11:06

Oh novice poor you. It's no fun when kids are ill. I'm going slightly insane stuck inside now but dc1 feels dreadful and doesn't want to go out at all.

foxy I like those sorts of looks with dresses.

shopafrolic · 15/03/2013 11:26

Poorly DS here with horrid cough and high temp. And poorly DH with upset stomach (probably stress). Am snuggled up on sofa with DS watching Winnie the Pooh for the 40th time. Look = lousy.

justasecond · 15/03/2013 13:22

Hello all!
Thanks again to Annianni for selling me her jumper and Liberty for buying mine. I have posted this morning.
I have just received my Other Stories order. I got this yellow bag and this pink one. I was going to choose between the 2 but i like both!
I have been looking for a yellow bag for a while but think I may prefer a plain leather one rather than the snake effect. To compare I also bought a yellow leather saddle type from Gap which is not online but a bargain atm with 40% off (was 45).
Anyway the Other Stories bags are really good quality for the price and I really like the look of the clothes and shoes too.

foxysocks · 15/03/2013 14:03

oh i really wanted that yellow bag justasecond but it was all sold out by the time i went to order. it's lovely! if you decide not to keep would you consider letting me buy it from you rather than return?

does anyone have an opinion on this baukjen jersey shirt?

www.isabellaoliver.com/baukjen/uk/600/tops/TP519.html

i do not have even one single solitary shirt in my wardrobe Blush, and thought the blue with white skinnies could be really nice for spring/summer. the discount brings it in at £38 and there's quidco too. I am very tempted. a blue shirt was on my list so it's a planned purchase even if i didn't plan it for march! what do you think?

foxysocks · 15/03/2013 14:03

gah, links, sorry

www.isabellaoliver.com/baukjen/uk/600/tops/TP519.html

QueenCadbury · 15/03/2013 14:10

foxy it's lovely but presumably you need to be flat-ish chested for it not to pull and stretch over norks.

I've just ordered this too so at least now I will have 2 necklaces to try on and choose from.
