Amber I got the plain cardi in m and that is a bit on the big side and the stripy jumper in L which isalso quite loose so I think ypou will be fine. I think its just that style that is a big snug.

foxysocks · 14/03/2013 14:09

I am def in the market for any S or XS cashmere that is unwanted. saying that, i really hope everyone loves the stuff they got because that's the best feeling ever Grin

spring-like here today, am in grey (goldsigns, R&B Biker, charcoal star scarf) and pink neon (gap l/s pocket tee). love the sunshine!

shopafrolic · 14/03/2013 14:19

Ha! foxy. Looks as though they looked in the bin and thought, "what can we do with all those leftover his of denim.........?"

carrie74 · 14/03/2013 14:25

Foxy MY EYES! MY EYES!

Your neon tee is making me wonder whether I've gone too far in the grey/navy department at home (too much grey? Is there such a thing?). Now Spring is in the air (HA!), may think about what colour accents work best with my colouring...

AmberNectarine · 14/03/2013 14:36

I actually quite like those jeans. The yellow is a little jarring, something more tonal would have worked better, but I like the geometric design.

Annianni · 14/03/2013 14:38

You'll be fine Amber, i'm just fat Sad :o

Justasecond, shall I ask the outnet if they can hold it for you?
Or are you willing to paypal a random woman off the internet and i'll post it straight to you.

Annianni · 14/03/2013 14:39

I would have worn those jeans 20 years ago :o

foxysocks · 14/03/2013 14:40

amber you are probably one of the only people stylish enough to pull them off.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 14/03/2013 14:42

Can I just canvas opinion on this dress?
Thanks

foxysocks · 14/03/2013 14:46

i'm not keen, grumpy, sorry

AmberNectarine · 14/03/2013 14:49

I love the shape grumpy, palette bordering on drab. Unless you're pairing it with bright accessories I'd look for similar in a different colour.

shopafrolic · 14/03/2013 15:03

Grumpy I agree with Amber, nice shape, deserves a stronger colour...

Annianni I am more than happy to pay you by paypal! thanks so much Thanks Please pm me your email and I will do asap.

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2013 15:08

Anni really love that peacoat, so glad that someone on mnv got it!

Shop absolutely love your sweater too. It's fab.

Amber I think you'll be fine in an S. Agree with Justa sizing is varied. The v neck ones are very big and I have an xs, the others are a bit more streamlined.

Sleep dinner with billionaires sounds fantastic. Go with the MK dress it looks fabulous. Better than the model. Preen pencil skirt sounds swoon worthy. I'm also thinking grey light wool slim fit and tailored. Ideal would be Preen or Phillip Lim also considering vintage in interim.

Grumpy I quite like it, hem looks tricky. But yes could be quite something with bright colours.

Foxy love your outfit.

Carrie alway love a bit of neon in the spring. What is your colouring?

Decam gosh I love those rail J Brands.

Have had lunch with dh again, quite a habit. Wore Vanessa Bruno cream coat that I've had for a while but still looking good, also dropped off loads of old stuff to dress agency, feeling virtuous!

MarshaBrady · 14/03/2013 15:10

Pop how lovely to see you! Have been wondering how your new job is.

Love the J Crew and the BR!

shopafrolic · 14/03/2013 15:18

Hi Pop so nice to hear updates from across the pond! I think you've hit the nail on the head when you say skinny bootcuts. Mine are all too loose to bring back this time around so for now I'll have to stick with skinnies.
Love the JCrew and the clutch.

BrandyAlexander · 14/03/2013 15:42

Hi all, busy couple of days for me. It's been all about jewelry for the last couple of days. I finally got round to going to Tiffanys yesterday to sort out a couple of pieces. Had to hunt them down. During the hunt I discovered a pair of beautiful aquamarine and diamond earrings that mil gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago that I had totally forgotten about and so have never worn. Who does that??? Shock Also mil gave me a diamond and sapphire pendant about 3 years ago that I had totally forgotten about! Also found some Tiffany's bits and others (that i knew I had!). So my goal for the rest of 2013 is to wear more of my pretty things!!

I agree with the observations about nyc. Smile. In December I was worried that knee high boots weren't formal enough for meetings so didn't wear them, just to go there, be freezing cold and discover that virtually every woman was wearing them! I wore them without hesitation last monthGrin

Hello. I've been stuck on the sofa for 2 days watching endless repeats of baby jake (anyone else find it freaky?). Didn't even bother dressing up today and am wearing a fleece and sweatpants. Honestly after so little sleep last night I don't even feel embarrassed!

Glad some of you have got good purchases. grumpy not sure about the dress but I'm not personally keen on asymmetric hemlines. The colours could potentially look drab unless they really suit you.

sleep love the red dress but if you're spending time outside what will you wear with it?

pop the ladies of NYC sound lovely and glam. As someone else said bootcuts do need to be skinny boots otherwise they do look dated. I've recently been obsessing about bib necklaces and am keen to try one. Trouble is much as I love high st fashion, on the whole I do not like cheap jewellery. I'm not entirely sure they'd suit me so I'm reluctant to spend £. Anyone else do bib necklaces?

novice how can you forget tiffanys?? I wish my mil bought me tiffanys. The only time I get it is when dh goes to America once a year.

BrandyAlexander · 14/03/2013 20:08

Oh dear QueenC. Poor you. :( my kids are sick too so no sleep last night. Went to work this morning and came back mid afternoon. Was supposed to be working on something and fell asleep. I fear another long night ahead. I did discover at about 3am that the polyvore app is amazing. Silver linings and all!Grin get well soon.

OP posts:
BrandyAlexander · 14/03/2013 20:12

Oh mil doesn't give me Tiffanys that's dh. Mil gets me other jewelry but I get attached to favourites and don't rotate enough. Eg I have been wearing the same diamond pendant that mil gave me for about 3 weeks now because I haven't taken it off. Blush

OP posts:
QueenCadbury · 14/03/2013 20:13

Thanks novice. It's not me that's sick, it's the 2 girls (the boy had it last week). The baby will only sleep on top of me when ill hence the lack of sleep.

QueenCadbury · 14/03/2013 20:15

novice we should pm each other when we're awake with sick kids at 3am Grin

BrandyAlexander · 14/03/2013 20:16

Oh that's worse. Poor you. Same here but only 2 dcs to contend with. Have managed to get baby to sleep in cot but that won't last!
